Audi RS4 B7. Peak RS4 for many enthusiasts. The... 4.2 FSI naturally aspirated V8, around 414 hp, paired with a manual gearbox only. Audi was serious about this car. And unlike the M3 or C63 at the time, the RS4 had Quattro AWD, which gave it insane traction. The engine revs high and sounds incredible, although owners know about the carbon build up issue these engines can develop and that they love their timing chain jobs, so missing them just hurts the engine. Still one of the most loved RS cars Audi ever built.show more

What is it about a baby's smile that can... make you forget about everything else in the world for just a moment? There's something almost impossible to explain about the simple happiness of a baby. A little smile, a laugh that comes out of nowhere, those wide eyes when they discover something new, or the way they get excited when they see someone they love. None of it has to be complicated. In fact, that's probably part of what makes it so wonderful. Babies don't need expensive toys, fancy vacations, or some elaborate plan to have a good time. Sometimes all it takes is someone making a silly face, singing a ridiculous song, playing peekaboo, or simply picking them up and giving them a little attention. And watching a baby experience these ordinary moments can remind us how much adults tend to overcomplicate happiness. We spend so much time chasing bigger houses, better cars, more money, more recognition, and the next thing on our list that we can forget how much joy can be found in something as simple as hearing a child laugh. There's also something special about seeing a baby's personality begin to emerge. You start noticing the little expressions, the funny habits, the things that make them curious, and the people they seem especially happy to see. Every day brings some tiny new development that wasn't there yesterday. For parents and grandparents, those moments can become some of the memories you treasure most. The days can be exhausting. The sleepless nights are real. Raising a child is a huge responsibility. But then that little face lights up when they see you, and suddenly the exhaustion doesn't seem quite as important. Maybe that's one of the beautiful things about babies. They don't have to accomplish anything to bring happiness into a room. They just have to be there. How much of the happiness we're searching for as adults is already found in the simple things we stopped noticing?show more

Nazar is a real thing! A few days ago... I uploaded a picture of this car, and just after driving it for 2–3 days, the E20 petrol completely messed up the fuel system. The fuel pump gave up, the tank had to be drained, and now the engine has started misfiring with rough, unusual idling something that never happened before. This is a 1997 inline-4 petrol engine, and it’s the first time I’ve ever seen it behave like this. The older the vehicle, the more severe the impact of E20 seems to be. You’re ruining perfectly good cars, Gadkari. This has gone too far.😌🙏🏻 Nitin Gadkarishow more

A Change of Plan…🌍 A little insight into the... realities of airline flying: sometimes the route you see on your flight tracker isn’t the one we originally planned. That’s because flight planning is a mix of science, safety, and flexibility. 🌐 One reason for changes is ATC flow management. Think of it like traffic lights in the sky, with thousands of aircraft moving through shared corridors, air traffic control sometimes adjusts our routes to keep the system flowing smoothly and safely. But today’s change wasn’t about traffic. It was about performance planning. Departing Delhi, our A350 was heavy with fuel and passengers, and the original routing led straight into an area of very high terrain. With a twin-engine aircraft, we always consider the “what if”: if one engine were to fail, how would the aircraft perform? Safety means ensuring we can still fly clear of terrain even under those conditions. That’s where ETOPS (Extended-range Twin-engine Operations) and drift down procedures come in. ETOPS rules let two-engine aircraft fly long oceanic and remote routes, but only with strict planning to guarantee diversion options. Drift down is the scenario where, after losing one engine, we calculate how the aircraft can descend to a level where it can safely continue flight and clear terrain. These are baked into every flight plan, and sometimes, the numbers don’t add up and they mean taking the longer way around. So today, instead of climbing northwest out of India, we turned south. The routing took us over Oman and the UAE, up the length of the Gulf, across Iraq, and back into our original track over western Turkey. That’s also where we passed one of my favourite places: the airfield named Batman 🦇. 👨✈️ It’s a great reminder that flying isn’t just point-to-point. Every route is carefully designed with safety, performance, and the flow of global air traffic in mind. It also means that we had a great opportunity to get some air-to-air pics of other aircraft. Will share these during the week 🙌🏻 #AvGeek #PilotLife #AirbusA350 #FlightDeckLife #ETOPS #FlightOps #AirlinePilot #AviationSafety #ProfessionalPilot #FromTheFlightDeck #FlyingTheWorld #SingleEngineDriftDown #AviationDaily #AvgeekCommunity #SkyHighViewsshow more

Kolkata has been called many things. The City of... Joy. The City of Love. The Cultural Capital of India. The Gateway of Eastern India. The Safest City in India. Today, Amit Shah made his contribution to that list. He called Kolkata a city of slums. To Amit Shah, the people who live in this city, who built it, who breathe life into it every single day, are slum-dwellers deserving nothing but his disdain. This is how BJP sees Bengal. This is how they will treat Bengal if they ever gain a foothold here. Can you imagine what comes next if these Bangla-birodhi Zamindars are allowed through the door?show more

Most cars under ₹20 lakh still make you press... that black rubber button on the door handle to lock or unlock. The Honda City quietly doesn’t it better from the second base variant. Just keep the key in your pocket, slip your hand behind the handle, and it unlocks instantly. And to lock, just close the door and walk away. No button. No effort. It’s one of those small touches that makes the car feel far more premium than its price tag. P.S.: This feature is available on only higher trims of Hyundai, Kia and MG.show more

We know that some of the issues in Nairobi... are structural and historical, but a good governor must have a disaster team ready to assist when it strikes. A good governor doesn't turn the county assembly speaker into his goon or youthwinger. A good governor can easily mobilise 500 young and energetic men and women to be trained on rescue from each of the 17 sub-counties. We can have a working team to help reduce the pain of a disaster. But a lazy governor hates MCAs who demand that he do better. Nairobi, don't elect someone because he can say TIBIM and TIALALA or he has dimples. Get someone who can make the city workable, livable and sustainable. You only need the city to have those 3 characterestics for you to have the convenience and comfort.show more

Did you know we can see F1 engine RPM... in onboard sound? A V6 fires 3x per crank rev, so 12,000 rpm becomes ~600 Hz in the audio. Track those bands and we can ask: is the ICE still loaded off-throttle in corners to charge the MGU-K? UPDATE ON THE LA HELICOPTER CRASH It comes down... level and much too fast. When the engine quits, a pilot uses autorotation, letting the air keep the blades spinning so he can set it down. That takes altitude, and this helicopter was under 1,000 feet above the ground. Six days earlier, the FAA warned that an engine flange installed backwards on Airbus AS350s could cut the power going from the engine to the rotor. That bulletin covers more than 4,000 helicopters built before 2023. The NTSB says a warning siren can be heard on the station's own video seconds before the fall, and the sound is consistent with the engine stalling. NOW EVERYONE KNOWSshow more

A lot of You People need to understand how... much bad information about lifting comes from Bodybuilding. Not every bodybuilder, but a lot. Here is one great example. Clip 1: Bodybuilding legend Robby Robinson explains how to avoid injury in the deadlift, you need to bend your arms. Yes, you heard that correctly. The literal exact opposite of the truth, the exact mechanism which greatly increases the likelihood of tearing a biceps tendon in the deadlift (which ~never happens for people who do a controlled pull with straight arms) is what Robinson claims you MUST do to avoid injury. This isn't just a small disagreement. This is comically absurd levels of delusion. If it came from some random gym bro that would be one thing, but the important lesson here is that you can ascend to the highest levels of bodybuilding success and fame without knowing the most basic things about training that us mere mortals who have normal genetics and aren't blasting gear HAVE TO LEARN or else we won't succeed. Bent arms facilitating biceps tendon tears is easily understandable via mechanisms: The deadlift is a heavy lift that, if done at a weight heavy enough to spur adaptive stimulus, must be with much more weight than you can curl, then it will tend to forcibly straighten out the arms under load as you lift, which increases the chances of a rupture. But as a real lift demonstration of this phenomenon, I offer you Clip 2 which shows this happening in action: A lifter tearing a biceps tendon on a deadlift which you can literally see happening because of the bent-arm pull. I've never seen this happen in less than the 550-600 range EXCEPT in cases of bent arm pulls exactly like this one. If Robinson hadn't said what he said but I claimed bodybuilders say this, I would be accused of making up things to hate on bodybuilding. But this is just one example of a pattern I've observed over 25 years doing this. I have taught the deadlift to IFBB pros who have stood on the Olympic stage, who told me after the session that they had no idea how to do them until working with me, they just winged it and sort of copied what they saw other people do. If you want to learn how to achieve a bodybuilding look, most bodybuilders know a lot. If you want to understand proper technique for complex lifts and loaded human movement patterns, the bodybuilders who know and understand that are the exception, not the rule.show more
