Where does your true strength come from? Our strength... does not come from our circumstances, our abilities, or our own determination. It comes from Christ. There will be seasons when we feel capable and confident, and others when we feel weak, tired, or overwhelmed. Scripture reminds us that weakness is not the end of the story. It can become the very place where we learn to depend more fully on God. Paul writes, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). This does not mean Christ promises to make every task easy. It means that whatever God calls us to endure or accomplish, we do not face it alone. Jesus tells His disciples, “apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). Real spiritual strength begins with dependence. We remain close to Christ through prayer, Scripture, obedience, and trust, and He supplies what we lack. Even suffering can teach us this truth. Paul learned that Christ’s grace was sufficient for him and that God’s “power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). Instead of being ashamed of our limitations, we can bring them to Christ. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that those who wait for the Lord “shall renew their strength.” The Christian life is not about proving how strong we are. It is about learning where true strength is found: in Christ, who sustains us, strengthens us, and remains faithful through every trial.show more
