There is a state park by me that closes... when the sun goes down for safety reasons. I always see people find a way in there to do what they need to do. No matter what they do mayor be add a gate or even have more law enforcement, there’s no stopping it. These people are sitting in their car. They see people walking in and out of the woods while they are sitting there eating and chatting. The people going in and out look so out of place, like they are in a zombie apocalypse. If I saw people just struggling in and out of the woods, looking dirty, no flashlights at all. I would think they are up to something. Especially for the hikers making their way back and hearing rumbling and voices I would be creeped out too.show more

If you were sharing this video from the US... Capitol building on January 6 and claiming that police “escorted tourists into the building,” then you are either being dishonest, or you didn’t see what was actually happening outside the building. 1) It is almost certain that these police officers are trying to get these people out of the building not into the building. When there’s thousands of people trying to get into one location and they’ve already busted into the building, you have to escort these people through the building to get them out. 2) There were 2500 people illegally in the Capitol. There was a small fraction the number of police. What did you expect these officers to do? Try to arrest them all or try to control the situation and make sure things didn’t get out of control? Picking and choosing 30 second clips out of 44000 hours of video, including video of people busting windows, breaking glass, unlocking doors, and attacking police is disingenuous and ignorant.show more

For 600 years, the only way to reach these... monasteries was to climb into a net and let monks haul you, by hand, hundreds of metres into the sky... The place is Meteora, which means suspended in the air, where enormous pillars of sandstone rise straight out of the plain of Thessaly, some of them climbing hundreds of metres into the air. They were shaped over millions of years by water and earthquakes into a forest of stone columns. On top of these pillars, against every instinct a human body has, monks built monasteries. They first came to these rocks in the 11th century, living as hermits in the caves and cracks of the cliffs. By the 14th century they began building on the summits themselves, seeking refuge as the Byzantine world collapsed and Ottoman power rose around them. As many as twenty-four monasteries were eventually raised on these peaks in central Greece. They had no stairways, no roads, and in many cases no obvious way up at all. For centuries, the only way to the top was to be lifted in a net or basket, hauled by hand on a rope wound around a wooden winch by the monks above. Food, building stone, supplies, and people all rose the same way, swinging in open air, hundreds of metres above the ground. Stairways were finally carved into the rock in the 1920s, and today six of the monasteries are open to visitors. G.K. On the 20th of October this happened, I watched... as mainstream media arrived with the U.N. envoy instead of staying the night like the rest of us and seeing how israel was playing mind games and dropping bombs as if it was a toy…total disregard. I didn’t think to post it assuming that no way things would get this bad or last this long. Following this video my mother grounded me saying, “you are one person but part of so many, you do what you can and that makes you a sum of the parts, don’t think of what you can’t do but what you can do”, it was not to lessen from me but rather so I don’t ever get bogged down and see that we all have a role to play. At the end of the day you are speaking up one year against a cult like ideology that has been operating for over 70 years. It may take time but the point is…it has started. We are all a sum of the part and don’t ever underestimate yourself. Instead of thinking there’s nothing I can do, change it to ‘what can I do?’. Even a small action will have an effect in the right direction. Back when I had nothing… I was a nobody... to most people. TBH, my parents didn't even see me getting to where I am today. It's just the truth, the chips were stacked for my sister. Not me. But it's just not the reality today. However, there was ONE person in my life that didn’t see me that way. My significant other saw something in me before a lot of things. Before all my wins. Before the $. Before any proof. And honestly… that means a lot to me, if not the most of all. I’ve always been wired a little different. I’m a mix of finance, engineering, and tech, with a sprinkle of obsession. I learned and studied from the best. Warren Buffett for how to invest. Elon Musk for work ethic and where the future is going. And once I saw it… I went all in. Bc when you truly understand what you own… you don’t need 20 bets. What you really need is conviction and just a few bets. That’s how I approached everything in my life. All the way from Apple… to Tesla… to 𝕏… to xAI… and now SpaceX. I believe I have an eye for spotting the best entrepreneurs and companies early, before it becomes obvious to everyone. And when I see it, I back it 100%. That’s just who I am. I don’t need a big circle. I’ve already got my day ones. I don’t need approval. I grew up my whole life with doubt and hate, so what’s one more? At this point, the levels are just too different. And yeah… it's true, it actually gets harder to make new friends when you’re moving like this. So I stay loyal to the ones who were there when I had nothing. I made it with Apple - youngest in, youngest out. Then I made it with Tesla… while people were laughing, doubting, calling me crazy, telling me I was going to go bankrupt with Elon. Fast forward to today, now I'm heading into something even bigger. If the story plays out the way it’s shaping up… SpaceX could have the largest IPO in history this year. The company is talking about raising over $75B… at a $1.75-$2 trillion valuation. For context… the biggest IPO ever - Saudi Aramco - raised about $29B. This would be more than double that. Let that sink in deep. To me this is more than just an investment. This is owning a piece of the future of space, energy, AI... extending the light of consciousness forward in case something happens to Earth. People can call me crazy. People can call me cocky. Arrogant. But the people that actually know me know the truth - I’m just real AF. I say what I believe, and I stand on it. And I genuinely don’t care what people think. I have two middle fingers always held high for those kind of people. That’s probably why I’ve been able to win the way I have. My significant other tells me to slow down sometimes. And I get it. But for me… What’s the point of life if you play it safe? If you see an opportunity that can change everything… and you just sit back? That’s not me. Been building this little brand for almost three years... now with Grant Eastey and Ejay ODonnell. That’s my wife and I packing our first orders in our tiny garage that couldn’t even fit a car. But in the end the garage found its purpose. There’s something special about just going for it. We just wanted to make some hats for dads that we didn’t see out there for ourselves. Everything else was dad bod humor, mowing the lawn, ugly sneakers, etc. Being a dad is so much more than that. Being a dad really isn’t any of that funny stuff. That’s just the weird brand social media has given us. We’re about to cross half a million hats sold soon and still see ourselves in that tiny garage. Just trying things. Seeing what happens and doubling down if it works. The brand has become so much more than we ever imagined. I don’t enjoy the notion of becoming a “DTC brand”, just become a brand. Become a community and movement. You should see the notes we get from customers saying our hat helped them become better parents, our hat helped them keep trying to have children, our hat brought their kids joy when their dad passed away, our hat showed up and changed the life of someone deciding if they wanted to go on. I don’t care about the metrics. Obsession over CAC and ROAS won’t create this. Building something with meaning is so beyond any of the acronyms we see here on a regular basis. At the end of the day it’s all about trying. You just need to try. It’s as simple as that. I used to think there’s so much to risk by trying. At the end of the day it’s usually ego or fear. And two things are true. Ego decisions are solely based on your perception of what you’ll look like to others, which will never matter in the end. The second thing is fear. Fear usually only lives within YOU. Nowhere else. You make it up and decide how to act from it. Greatness is on the other side of fear. There’s no pressure over here. I was born into project buildings in Poland. “Making it” happened long before the brand started. Making it was getting out of Poland and into the US at the age of 7. On our pod yesterday Nate Lagos📈 asked me why I even stay on X when having a successful brand. The answer is simple. I personally want to give away as much free game as possible. I don’t know it all, not even close. But I want to help others break through and get their ideas into motion. Everyone is charging for courses and slack access. I get it, but it’s not how I care to move. There’s plenty to go around for everyone and if I can help then I’d love to. Gate keeping is weird. Pass it on. Help others win. Looking back at my time in that tiny garage I miss it. The excitement of a new idea forming. Hand packing every order and writing notes. Not caring if it works but trying and having fun. We threw what I still think was one of the best side events in blockchain history at the time, and from that night forward we had a standard. Syscoin stayed the true web3 vibe that everyone else strayed away from for casinos and meme tokens that died 2 years later. We always had the vibe. The right room, the right people, the right energy. That became the rhythm of the next four years for us. Syscoin stayed imitated but never duplicated over the next four years. Austin. Nashville. Las Vegas. Colombia, Singapore, Dubai, Davos. Medellín, where I first met Fernando Paredes at Devconnect, in a room full of builders who were actually building. Conferences and events all blur together when you've been to enough of them. But the side rooms don't. The 1am conversations don't. Those are the moments that built the network. Those are the moments I'll carry. Through every one of those rooms I had the honor of working alongside some of the biggest names in this industry. VC's, Founders, exchange leadership, protocol engineers, journalists, influencers and KOLs who actually move markets, builders shipping in silence. The kind of access most people in this space never get and with current industry conditions may actually never get again. I never took a single one of those rooms or connections for granted if you can't already tell by my X following. Behind all of it, the receipts that don't fit on a tweet. Over 400 terabytes of content, video, graphics, strategies, brand systems, blueprints, four years of building the marketing engine for a chain trying to scale Bitcoin without compromise. Thousands of hours, research, everything we needed to make it through cycle after cycle with our integrity, honesty and trust intact. Hundreds of strategies and playbooks that never even made it to market. There were good times. There were bad times. Anyone who tells you a four-year run inside a top-tier crypto project was all good times is selling you some straight bullshit. The project came out the other side. The team came out the other side. The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in... the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. The area is an active conflict zone, making the move highly dangerous and unauthorized. Still, the level of conviction, risking personal safety in pursuit of a vision tied to deep convictions is hard to ignore.
