While making GlagStone, I was inspired by late-80s Macintosh... aesthetics — monochrome screens, tiny windows, dense little menus, and early city builders like SimCity on classic Mac. I wanted the game to feel like building a whole island inside an old black-and-white computer. That’s why GlagStone became a strict 1-bit city builder. #indiedev #citybuilder #pixelart #FollowFridayshow more

Alright I’m done. It has been 3 months since... I filed a claim with you UPS because you guys DROPPED my computer that I shipped and paid a lot of money to have professionally packaged and insured by YOU guys. Apparently none of that matters though. This is the computer I use to make a living and because of you I’ve had to use an old and barely functional pc and borrow other people’s computers and pay out of pocket for the last 3 months to make other options work while I wait for you guys because you guys keep stalling the claim. I took it to a computer company like you guys wanted where it was declared A TOTAL LOSS. Attached is the video of YOU guys dropping it (with sound so you can hear everything breaking). All other pictures and documents are in the claim I’ve made that’s been getting pushed off and like ruining my life for the past quarter of the year… REPLACE MY COMPUTER YOU GUYS BROKE IT!!!show more

1/ We've all been aware of the hype surrounding... Dreamina Seedance 2.0, and I finally got early access to the tool. And wow, I'm blown away. This is by far the best. It is starting to make AI video feel less like "generate a clip" and more like "direct a scene." What stood out to me is the level of control: camera motion, pacing, visual consistency, and the ability to build from multiple references inside one workflow. Some of the prompt directions that feel especially strong: - a busy modern city square during daytime. Suddenly, time freezes completely - a single continuous camera movement through a natural landscape that transitions through all four seasons in one shot - an underwater bioluminescent city waking up at dawn The big shift is this: One Prompt, Viral Remade. Edit Videos as Easy as Editing Photos. Dreamina Seedance 2.0 feels like a real step toward AI-native directing rather than just AI generation. Here are some examples 🧵:show more

When I play arcade games at home, I could... just set them to free play, but I actually prefer inserting coins myself. The sound of the coin rolling in and the credit counter going up is a huge part of the experience for me. It really brings back the feeling of being in an arcade back then. That’s why I even use an old cigarette ashtray as a coin holder. At first, I bought a chair that looked similar to an arcade stool, but the height felt strangely uncomfortable. So I ended up ordering actual Japanese arcade stools from a company in Japan, and the height is just perfect👌 Once you own an arcade cabinet, collecting little accessories like that becomes part of the fun too. And when you hang game posters on the wall, the whole atmosphere becomes incredible😆show more

WHO says we should have 9 sqm open space... per person. Mumbaikars are surviving on just 0.87 sqm. And now even that tiny bit is under attack. Bandra’s Neville D’Souza Ground, the ONLY FIFA-standard ground in the whole city, where 10,000 young kids train every year; they want to use it for a convention centre. They are snatching the last proper ground from our children so builders can make more money. Their dreams of playing proper football? Gone. Just like that. We’re fighting to save Neville D’Souza Ground. If you’re from Mumbai and you care even a little, share this and join the fight. At 54, here’s something I think about a lot:... The good old days don’t feel like it at the time. It feels more like struggle. From the age of 25 to 45, you’re in the thick of it—building a career, raising kids, trying to get ahead (or just keep up with life). It’s so easy to lose perspective and forget that… You’re in the sweet spot. One day you’ll look back on that struggle as the best of times. Every season of life has its pros and cons—triumphs and challenges—but there’s nothing quite like the prime adult years. So what are we to do about it? Simply recognize that you’re living your good old days right now. Slow down. Savor it. Smell the roses. Because I’m here to tell you… The days are long, but the years fly by. 🎥: First flight for my younger daughter. I thought I was climbing the mountain—little did I know I was standing on the peak.show more

Dubai is known for its iconic buildings and wide... city roads, making it a city of big things. Even frequent travelers are always in awe of the city’s grandeur. Imagine what Dubai must be like for your 75-year-old mom! I took her to Burj Khalifa, where we met an Ugandan at the security checkpoint who greeted us in Luganda. Mom was thrilled to see someone from Uganda. At the Marina, we met an Indian family from Uganda who spoke Luganda, which was quite interesting. It seems Luganda was their code language until we boarded. Their conversation was pleasant, and we greeted them later as we disembarked. I thought I should share an update. Thanks for the love on these streets. I am happy that some people have reached out to me about organizing an annual trip to give their elders an experience of a lifetime. This could become a movement where 10 to 20 folks are given smiles.show more

In 1986, on an early fall afternoon after school,... I was eight years old, playing with two friends who were brothers, one my age and the other nine, in an apple orchard along the banks of the Napanee River. We noticed an object hovering nearby that didn’t look like anything mechanical. It looked like a long river rock, maybe forty feet in length, dark grey to almost black, with the same subtle shimmer you see when mica catches the light in stone. It wasn’t glowing. It was just there. Wrong in a quiet way. As soon as I focused on it, my stomach dropped and filled with a strange electrical sensation, like my insides were vibrating. Years later I’d recognize that feeling as similar to an electric shock. That’s the last clear moment I remember. All three of us lost consciousness. My parents later found us wandering in a nearby field, disoriented. One of the brothers will still talk about it. The older one shuts down completely and retreats to his room whenever it’s mentioned. I was left with something else entirely. The number 108 burned itself into my awareness and it never faded. It’s been there ever since, whether I wanted it to be or not.show more

Why Hyderabad Drowns After A 20min Rain? I may... not have a simple answer to this complex question but was in Raidurgam area yesterday and this what I saw. This is right next to the Raidurgam metro. It is like the IT hub of Hyderabad and look at the state of things here. Roads are being dug to lay drainage pipes. Locals told me it has been close to a year since they started digging. The debris is just lying on the road, existing drainage seems to be damaged and all the sewer is flowing on to the main road. To make things worse, many are parking right on the road making the congested area much more difficult to commute. There is no parking space at Raidurgam Metro. If someone wants to take the metro, they have to arrive on a separate vehicle to reach. Plus there are a million autos lined up on the road. Traffic police who hide behind trees or corner you in some random street won’t regulate traffic on the main roads. They won’t show a solution to park vehicles but will collect challans. Why are you collecting challans without any space being earmarked for parking? Do you expect people to jump off a parachute and get into a metro? We look at China, Japan with their advanced technology of laying roads in a day and will be wowed. Here governments talk about AI city, Future City and such money minting projects for the government and still get wowed. Why isn’t AI or advanced technology being used to repair roads, drainages or maintain infrastructure in the existing city??? Why this craze to call the existing city a dump and then pumping huge public money into a nonexistent Future City? Why is governance driven by real estate ambitions of a few politicians?show more

🧱 Building the Game: Nigeria 22% of our X... community is Nigerian 🇳🇬. That’s not just a stat, that’s leadership. That’s people showing up early, staying consistent, and carrying the mission across borders. In 2024, 188 onchain products launched in Nigeria, built on Base. Not by chance, by choice. Base became the home for serious builders in Africa’s most vibrant tech ecosystem. And we’re proud to say: T-RIZE is right there with them. In a country where over 35% of adults now use or own crypto, and where blockchain adoption is solving real economic challenges, Nigeria isn’t just participating, it’s shaping the next chapter. Our Nigerian community has pushed the RWA conversation forward, helped onboard the unbanked, and inspired a generation of builders to turn possibility into progress. ⚡️When momentum looks like this, you don’t wait, you build. But let’s be clear, this movement is global. 🌍 From Vietnam to the U.S., from Dubai to Hong Kong, from Singapore to Australia — our community is strong, present, and growing fast. We are one network, many voices — all building toward the same future. We’ll be spotlighting each region that’s helping write this story. Today, we celebrate Nigeria. Tomorrow, we celebrate you. 🎥 Watch how this movement came to life 👇show more

Don’t forget, the Washington Commanders didn’t care about the... Ravens’ 24-game preseason win streak. That’s why they played their first-team offense against the Ravens’ second- and third-team defenses for the entire first half. That’s also why G Sam Cosmi went from saying nobody gives a “s**t” about the “stupid record" … to doing The Griddy in the end zone when his starting unit scored on Ravens backups. That’s why K Joey Slye gestured an L to the sideline after his game-winning field goal. That’s why new co-owner Magic Johnson posted about how much fun it was to break the streak. That’s why WR Jahan Dotson said in the locker room afterward: “I feel like we just had the biggest preseason win in history.” It’s all because they didn’t care.show more

For 6 months I woke up at 5 AM... to catch Asian markets on Polymarket. During that time I lost my girlfriend, gained 8 kg, and got used to drinking coffee instead of breakfast Then I wrote an agent that monitors everything for me while I sleep. In the 1st month income went up 15% and I finally deleted the 5 AM alarm Turns out a half-asleep human trades worse than a 200-line script I thought discipline meant waking up early. In reality it was just stubbornness that cost me money and health. When I finally sat down to build the agent it became clear why Here is what is under the hood: 1. Sentiment analysis powered by Claude. Every 15 minutes the agent runs a feed from 40+ Asian sources: Reuters Asia, Nikkei, South China Morning Post, Yonhap 2. NLP tone classification. It compares sentiment shifts to open markets on Polymarket through the API, and if the news has already dropped but the odds have not reacted yet that is the entry window 3. Kelly criterion. A mathematical formula for position sizing instead of my usual "I will bet more, feeling lucky" 4. A hard stop at 5% of the deposit per trade so that 1 mistake cannot kill the entire account 5. A cooldown between entries so the agent does not stack up a cluster of correlated positions These are exactly the rules I was missing at 5 AM. I knew them perfectly well but consistently ignored them because on adrenaline and caffeine every bet felt like an "obvious opportunity" When I ran a backtest on my old trades it was genuinely painful: 60% of the bets I placed by hand in a half-asleep state would have been rejected by the agent for failing the expected value filter Those were the exact ones dragging the whole result down When I was building my agent I needed a benchmark. A wallet that already trades on similar logic so I could compare my results to someone else's Found 1 that works almost like a mirror of what I described: same Asian markets, same cold calculation without emotion. I still keep it bookmarked and periodically check how it handles the same situations: That is actually the wallet I started with when testing auto-copying through a bot before I launched my own agent. A useful thing if you want to see how a strategy works on someone else's example first and only then build your own:show more

yassss okay, Paper has a new homepage and guess... what? it was entirely designed with early versions of our brand new desktop app and then built via MCP in code I'm actually scarily amazed 🥲 a project that a year ago would have taken me 4-6 weeks -maybe more- and a lot of pain was delivered in just 14 days, from wireframes to prod... agents are here babe I was also in charge of copy, illustrations, animations, and stress-testing an MCP workflow we're still figuring out ourselves but here's the thing, I wanted to prove to myself that you can't achieve a look and feel like this only by prompting lazy stuff into a chat box - there's still a lot to polish, but I can't imagine building this without a space to actually think and compose the canvas was KEY to validate ideas, clean up noise, iterate copy, and figure out a lot of things that take part in such a project so if you think you can vibecode something like this, good luck, see you -and your agents- later in a serious design tool :)show more

It’s taken me a few days to put this... week into words because I really just wanted to soak it all in with my family. I’m incredibly grateful to the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Sports Network for trusting me with this opportunity. It was a milestone in my career that I’ll never forget. I’m also grateful for women like Mary Shane and Cheryl Raye Stout, who helped pave the way for women like me. They set the standard and created opportunities I’m incredibly thankful to be a part of. When I was asked to step into the booth, I’d be lying if I said stepping into that role wasn’t a little intimidating. But I kept thinking about Joshua 1:9, a verse my dad has always reminded me of: “Be strong and courageous.” And somehow, it all came full circle. The person who taught me this game was the one handing me my scorecard on the same weekend the White Sox were celebrating his ’83 team. That’s a moment I’ll never forget. If this week taught me anything, it’s that some of the best opportunities are the ones that push you outside your comfort zone. You never really know what you’re capable of until you’re willing to get a little uncomfortable. I hope that’s something people, whether they’re in sports or not, can take with them. Thank you to everyone who watched, reached out, encouraged me, and sent kind messages. They meant more than you know. I love what I do, and I’ll never take opportunities like this for granted. ❤️ #whitesoxshow more

been thinking a lot about how search is shifting... i catch myself asking claude or GPT for product recommendations all the time instead of googling and it hit me, those ai answers don’t give 10 options to click through they usually just tell me what to buy, or give a couple of options if you’re a brand, that changes the game if you’re not in that answer, you basically don’t exist that’s why i like what meridian is building it shows you how ai engines actually see your brand today and gives you steps to improve your chances of being included in those answers You can literally just typ in “gru” -> 30 seconds later you have a full report with every mention, every context, every strength, and blind spot. and while you’re still refreshing Google Search Console wondering why your traffic tanked… someone else just found out they’re cited in 17 AI Overviews and 3 major chatbot answers — and their competitor isn’t. for operators this matters because: – if you’re not included, you’re not in the conversation – people increasingly trust ai answers over google – early movers will have an edge (like early seo all over again) feels a bit like seo in the early days, except the window to get ahead is much smaller want to see how AI platforms represent your brand? Drop "Meridian" and I'll share your free assessment.show more

Look at how American children live! I filmed this... on my way home from New York City after attending the World Falun Dafa Day parade a few days ago. I happened to get stuck behind a school bus, which kept stopping and delayed me quite a bit — but it also gave me a chance to closely observe the happy lives of these children. As you can see, the school bus drops each child off right at their home. Sometimes two houses are only five or ten meters apart, yet the bus still stops separately for each family. It doesn’t try to save time by dropping the children somewhere in between and making them walk home on their own. Around the 10-second mark in the video, you can see a small child get off the bus and cross the street to go home. That’s why in the United States, whenever a school bus stops, not only must all the cars behind it stop, but even the cars coming from the opposite direction must stop as well — all to ensure children can cross the road safely. I filmed both of these clips from inside my car. I was quite amazed that day, but I hadn’t had time to share them until now. Today I finally wanted to show everyone. This is what a society built for people looks like! And compare American children's lives with those of Chinese children! A follower of my Chinese language account 曾錚 says that a lot of Chinese middle and high-school students are just like prisoners, and their parents are only allowed to visit them at school once a month!show more
