I have been one of the biggest supporters and... participants of the independent journalism movement, for about 9 years now. But after witnessing just how bad the “reporting” and fake news has been recently, I think the clickbait influencers might be worse than the MSM. The whole objective of a decentralized and independent media, was to circumvent the corrupt mainstream legacy media, and provide accurate reporting to the masses. The mission was to create a well-informed populace. Very few stuck to this mission, and for those of us who did, we have been drowned out by clickbait, disinformation, and astroturfed bot engagement. At least with the current setup, there is a CHANCE that the public can find some accurate reporting/analysis, but the waters have been muddied with so much bullshit and propaganda, it’s nearly impossible. President Trump is being duped on polling numbers about... the popularity of War with Iran and does not realize it. CNN released a clearly fake or cherry picked poll saying that almost all of MAGA supports the War. This could not be further from the truth. If you think it is, go ask a few MAGA people in your actual life their thoughts on the War. A lot of them are strongly against it. But both the mainstream media and the neocons around President Trump want him to believe these numbers. The left leaning mainstream media want him to believe these numbers because the longer this war goes on, the better it works out for Democrats in upcoming elections. The right leaning mainstream media want him to believe it because their biggest donors are very pro war in Iran. The neocons surrounding him want him to believe it because then they can have the war in the Middle East they have always pushed for. I do not think President Trump is playing 4D chess with this war. I do not think he is super pro war. I do not think he cares about the Middle East that much. I just think he is being manipulated by the people around him and he does not realize it. The best thing for President Trump and the country as a whole is that he recognizes how unpopular this disaster is, corrects course by getting the United States out of involvement, and fires anyone who has lied to him about polling around him. The model automatically translated the text into Japanese (Katakana) and German to match the environment. He fired the three remaining commissioners this week, leaving the board with zero members. The EAC is the obscure little agency that sets voting machine standards and controls the federal mail voter registration form. Here is the real story behind it. For over a year Trump has pushed two basic reforms through that commission: proof of citizenship to register, and rules requiring USPS to stop blindly mailing ballots to anyone without verifying they are eligible for mail voting. The old board slow walked both. So he cleared it out. Replacements need Senate confirmation, this is not a hostile takeover, it is the president using the power the Supreme Court just confirmed he has! Now the post office piece. Trump's executive order directs USPS to track ballots and only deliver them to voters on an approved list. Courts have already blocked several parts of it, ruling the president cannot unilaterally rewrite election rules, that power sits with states and Congress. What this really means is Trump keeps applying pressure on citizenship verification and mail ballot accountability heading into the midterms.
