004/100 Buttons. A bit of the process on building... an animation. When looking at a finished animation or in this example a finished button, it can look quite complex inside the CSS. But when building it, itโs more like a lot of simple steps, one after another. Here I had the idea to make some kind of text animation like the footer logo on the Osmo site. I try to add the base animation with no complex easing, for example transition: translate 0.4s ease. Starting with just moving the one text from bottom to top and the other text to top. Adding a stagger, play around with it. Searching for a way to make it more circular. On the research I found the sin() function inside CSS which can build a more smooth non linear curve for the stagger which creates this circular effect. And step by step adding more complexity like, different easing for hover/hover-out, opacity, 3D transform and more. I use also the sin() function to rotate the letters, so the middle ones are getting more rotated than the outer ones. Another thing which helps is to add a small delay on hover, for example 0.05s or 0.1s, you donโt really see the difference, but when you hover pretty fast on and out it doesnโt get that jumpy. Iโm using here GSAPโs SplitText to split every char into spans. And then Iโm adding a CSS index variable to every span, starting from the center. SplitText can provide CSS index variables, but you cannot tell it from which direction. For the sin() itโs also important to have a max length, so I add another CSS variable with the max char number on it. Crafting 100 Buttons with Osmo โณ Total time: 63hshow more

Heres an actual way to make $10k a month... from TikTok + organic affiliate TT slides is probably the best way to make AI content for a few reasons > easy and not time consuming to make > much harder to detect images are AI > slideshows rarely get the AI label from TT (especially if you do what Iโm gonna show you) >slideshows require less engagement to go viral (more consistent virality) >CTA can be more natural this AI slideshow format is going insanely viral consistently on brand new accounts and no one is even detecting itโs AI theyโre super easy to make and use a story telling format thatโs really smart you can take the exact same formula to promote sweeps offers from Glitchy and make $10k a month pretty easily hereโs the blueprint >Content creation to create the slides realistic you can simply take a photo from Pinterest and put it into Gemini or Chat GPT and ask it to give you an EXACT JSON to recreate the image add in any details you want to add like โmake her hair blondeโ โmake her eyes blueโ take that JSON and put it into Nana Banana If you want her in certain backgrounds do the same process and add it in with the JSON of the girl youโve created or just describe it Now clear the meta data from said image to stop getting the AI label If you still get it go to a meta data analysis site and put the data in ChatGPT Ask if their is anything in the meta data that is signalling this to TT >Writing scripts The reason these go so well itโs because they have a negative scroll stopping hook that instantly make you want to know what the slides going to say next โgot fired from my jobโ โfailed my examsโ Along with the music that sets the emotion of the video It wouldnโt work as well if they had a random viral song thatโs up beat plus the cherry on top is that the image correlates with whatโs being said in the hook itโs self acting as a visual hook It wouldnโt work aswell if it was just an image of a girl on her bedroom >how to interpret sweeps Choose an sweeps offer from Glitchy for a retail store (Walmart/target) follow the same format of scroll stopping negative hook Example: โbroke my armโ then you would tell a story that paints a bad working environment, maybe she got fired for breaking her arm and is now exposing secrets and your CTA would then be โthey donโt promote this but they have a secret feedback programโ this is just to give you inspiration but there is literally countless ways >account set up - US proxy / US sim - Download TT with US proxy on - Buy aged account (to help with account trust and getting banned due to proxy issues) - warm up for 2 days (scroll vids all the way through, like, comment authentic things relating to video) Then you post This is a very good way to at least reach a couple K a month but Iโd be surprised if you donโt reach $10k beyondshow more

๐บ๐ธ TESLAโS NEW APP UPDATE LETS YOUR PHONE POINT... TO YOUR CAR IN REAL TIME Tesla just rolled out a new app update (v4.51.5), and honestlyโฆ this is the kind of feature people assumed should exist years ago. Now, when you open the app, you can rotate your phone and see exactly where your car is - live - with an arrow that shifts as you move. It also shows the precise distance to your car in feet, so no more wandering through parking garages like youโre in a low-budget spy movie. Itโs basically Find My iPhone, but for your Model Y, and way more satisfying to use. If Tesla keeps adding features like this, the app is going to end up being more fun than the car itself. Sure, but the idea of simplifying the appearance of... Fortnite, the locker and the shop are all going in the exact opposite direction of simplicity. Equipping cosmetics takes double, if not triple the clicks. The UI is impractical and janky, not to mention the introduction of buttons and drop-down menus that were far easier to access previously. Selecting a skin to rotate it, preview it or even spin it around now requires clicking on it, which then applies it to your loadout. Previously this needed a confirm button so you could preview and choose skins, backblings etc without loosing your currently equipped on if you want to go back. Wraps are not included as part of a character's preset despite being completely relevant to the skin worn. Changing emotes, lobby tracks, and all cosmetics now means you have to back out and change tabs, something that could have previously been done on 1 page. The sectioned tabs make sense with new types like LEGO Kits, Cars, Instruments but there's no need to separate Character from Wraps, Emotes or Lobby. Archiving or Favoriting items can no longer be done in batches or quickly. Previously all you had to do was click once per cosmetic on the button but now you have to enter a drop down and select it for every individual item. Applying wraps to all slots now requires a drop down menu rather than simply clicking the button at the bottom. Swinging a pickaxe or redeploying a glider is near impossible to do and feels like more of a chore to actually accomplish with the drop-down menu. It overlays onto other items meaning as soon as it's clicked the menu vanishes and switches to another cosmetic before the animation can even begin. Cosmetics in the locker can be searched by seasons using "S1-17" but after S18+ they no longer filter. Entering the drop-down menu or right-clicking anything in the locker accidentally immediately takes you all the way back to your currently equipped item when exiting. The filter menu requires an "apply" button to be pressed rather than simply closing and applying when selecting one of the filters, taking longer and more clicks to simply find your recent items or remove a filter. The filter menu was also better as a side panel so you don't have to move your cursor to the center of the screen and back every single time. As a side panel it also allowed for more options to be displayed, whereas the current one requires a huge scroll bar to simply filter by favorite. The presets menu scroll wheel also zooms the skins in and out as you scroll up and down the list. Because of the randomize preset button, the list compared to when saving a preset is all moved up by 1, becoming disorientating to where the preset was in relation to the rows. The shop no longer displays item descriptions or set names on cosmetics - now requiring a click on each individual item when there is adequate space to do so. The new shop and locker appearance can be accustomed to, however, it NEEDS the basic functionality and user-friendly UI elements that the previous ones had. Simple buttons at the bottom to favorite, swing, redeploy and equip. Less tabs to switch between, less clicks required to complete simple tasks and less feeling like there's a battle against the UI itself just to equip the cosmetics you paid for. We appreciate the moves the renew the locker and shop, but in terms of functionality and user interaction, there is nothing we want more than the old one back or the old one's elements merged into the new appearance. Thank you.show more

Wanna Visit Kashi & Have Darshan of Lord Vishwanath... ji? Here are some Tips from Experience. Read fully. Share widely. Har har Mahadev. - If you are in Kashi, you definitely need to stay on the Ghat. I have come multiple times & the goto place for us is Hotel Alka on Meer Ghat. Amazing location (close to temple), rooms are super clean, food is top notch. Try to book the Deluxe or Royal View or Premium View rooms. They range in 4000 to 7000 per night. Since we booked months back, we got the Premium Rooms at great Valuation. You can see the Ganga ji directly. - If you book rooms on the Ghats, you will have to walk the last mile. Autos will come to a certain distance, then you will have to walk the small Gullis (Small streets). The stay is worth the walk. So if you have elders traveling, you need to plan accordingly. - If you want to visit Kashi Vishwanath ji, the best way is to book an aarti ONLINE. This is the only way you can get into the main Mandir without huge queues. Very affordable darshans, worth it. Login to We booked 3 AM mangla aarti and evening 7 PM sapt Rishi aarti. Avoid agents. They will take much more than online prices, so be aware. - Pls note that crowd management inside Kashi Vishwanath Mandir is really bad. I hope Modi ji does something about it. I saw lots of elders who came all the way, but they get squeezed inside the mandir. Anyway, that's part of the deal ๐๐ - If you take the darshan ticket it will be worth. You can only carry tickets and id card while entering. Best to leave your chappals and electronics in the room. Yes, only carry the bhakti here with you. And maybe some cash. - Now there are locker systems inside the temple complex, which you can use for free. Kashi is full of pujaris who want to make a quick buck (unlike many other places). So try not to talk to anyone, be confident & use the free facilities. - In Kashi, it's very easy to get misguided by shop owners. So only and only ask your questions to the police officers. Kashi temple is full of them ๐ - Now, the best part. Ganga ji. Do not miss taking bath in her. Take her blessings. Always cross the river and take a bath. You can negotiate and pay โน50 per passenger to move to the other side and enjoy your bath. If you can swim, then you can go deep as well. I enjoyed the swim like anything, went 50 metres across the river. - The best places to eat are near the Manikarnika Ghat, Main Corridor & the Godowalia Chauraha. Tons of chats, kulfis and jalebis to eat. Don't miss the Tamatar Chaat, Aloo Tikkis, Chura Mutter & Banarasi Pan. Kashi Chaat Bhandar is amazing. - The Annapurna Devi annadanam (bhojan) is very famous. They serve lunch bhiksha and dinner bhiksha to thousands everyday. Wonderful hot hot food. You can have there itself. Please do contribute back generously to the annapoorani temple trust so that this tradition continues. - You can visit all the ancient temples in Kashi, Kalabhairava being one of the best. The Banarasi Sarees are amazing. Try to ask the boatmen to take you to the weavers home directly and buy. You will learn some amazing stuff. - There is one Ganga Aarti on Assi Ghat early in the morning. And the other aarti happens in the evening by 7 PM. You can take a boat so that the view will be spectacular. But remember to take boat early, reach the Ghat by 6 PM so that you can be right in the front. The city has definitely become cleaner, lots of effort to remove all debris from Maa Ganga. The temples are magnificent. Ghats are extraordinary. The energy is vibrant. You will find such ancient temples, that you can actually feel the vibrations. Tip: In Kashi, everyone will DEMAND money for everything. Right from purohits, street vendors & small children. Avoid everyone. So, if you want peace of mind, just keep walking without talking to anyone. Overall, hope this post helps you to enjoy Banaras to the fullest. It's superb. Must visit. Multiple times. #FIshow more

How to get rich as a strength coach/personal trainerโฆ... 1. No matter what, claim you played D1 sports somewhere. Maybe bribe a mid major school to put you on their practice roster. Or tell people you got recruited but an injury derailed your career before pre-season so you never played & never got listed on the roster 2. Get as many certs as you can & make sure you list all the initials after your name. The more initials the better. You may not know anything, but people will certainly think you do 3. Get in the best shape possible. Use peptides, deer antler spray. Whatever it takes to get shredded. Abs are very helpful. 4. See point #3. Once you are in good shape, build your entire social media around showing off your physique & how jacked you are. You may be stupid & unable to make a basic program, but kids & parents wonโt care. Theyโll come train with you because youโre the jacked guy on Instagram who will make them look the same 5. DM every athlete you can find who already trains somewhere else. Itโs not their fault that they didnโt hear about you. Honestly, youโre doing them a favor if you poach them from the coach they have gone to for 5 years. They deserve to go to you instead. Tell them how terrible their coach is & that youโll get them better 6. Any athlete who breathes & commits to a school should be added to your list of accolades. Maybe you only met them once but you certainly should tell everyone theyโre committed & got there because of YOU 7. This is where it gets tricky. A good coach must have tech and lots of it. Get a new credit card. Max out your credit line & get the fanciest tech. Force plates, VBT, 1080 sprint. All of it. You wonโt know how to use it but youโll look so smart Itโs not easy, but you can do it. 7 simple steps & you too can be an elite strength & conditioning coach/personal trainer!show more

this is the worst local ai will ever be.... it only gets better from here. if you are not expanding your mind with these small models you are missing what's happening right now 99 percent tool call success rate. when steered well with the right skills and a framework like hermes agent the node becomes a cognition layer. not a chatbot. not a toy. an extension of how you think. i was cranking this node at 35 to 50 tok/s all day on personal experiments and now after all the work is done qwen 3.5 9B is iterating on its own code. the game it created. fixing its own bugs autonomously. and the part you should probably not miss is that all of this is happening on a RTX 3060. not an H100. not an A100. the card most of you have sitting in a drawer right now. if you just open that drawer and put that intelligence to work every tensor core on that card should be running for you. your work. your experiments. your thinking. you all have it but because nobody told you what this hardware can actually do in 2026 you never tried. the day it unlocks is the day you test your workload, understand the tradeoffs, debug the loops, and then decide if you need to scale the hardware. there is no point buying 3 mac studios when things done well you can squeeze a similar level of intelligence from 9B compared to 70B. but only when you create the right environment for your model through the right harness. and let me tell you i have tried claude code as a local harness. i have tried opencode. i have tried various others. somehow i landed on hermes agent and never left. there is something magical going on at Nous Research. the tool call parsers, the skills system, the way it handles small models natively. nothing else comes close for local inference. own your cognition. your AI. your agent. your prompts. your experiments. why give them away for free. those are who you are and they don't belong on someone else's servers being monitored. just give it a shot with your existing hardware. you run into a problem the community will help you. and if you are migrating from openclaw to hermes i will personally help you make the switch.show more

Today we're launching Chipped ๐ [link in second tweet]... 6 months ago we approached KIKI with an idea. I wanted to turn my NFC chipped manicure into a set of press-ons so that I didn't have to spend hours doing it myself. Simple idea. Yeah not really, even though this idea has been around for a few years and so many great artists have been manually doing this, no one had worked out how to manufacture it. 6 weeks and 30 prototypes later we had it, she was a little rough around the edges but she worked, you could program it to anything with a URL. But linking to socials wasnโt enough, so we teamed with disco to build proof of irl schemas, so that when you tap it, it creates a decentralised friends list, stored privately, offchain but secured by your private key. During EF events we chipped over 200 crypto natives and the response was incredible with over 1000 data points being created in the first few days and 1 million impressions on twitter over the duration of the campaign. So, today is a fun day. We've released pre-sale. The colour drop is the result of governance and a community vote, but this is just the beginning for the colours and designs we plan on creating. For $49, the set of 22 press-ons comes in an aluminium matchbox with 2 NFC chip nails, and nail glue, so you can set your nails up in a few minutes literally anywhere [my salon of choice tends to be the airport lounge between conferences.] The nails come set up to your profile, which is kind of like a linktree [but cuter], where youโre able to add the socials you want it to link to, whether that's just your socials with the choice to add proof of irl credentials. Itโs literally the memorable way to network. For guys who think this is โnot for meโ, consider it the easiest way to onboard your mother, your sisters and your girlfriend into web3. I wanted to create a product that eclipses the need to understand blockchain and makes it fun to use. I've dropped the link below and thank you to everyone who has been on this journey with us. xoxoshow more

How to build a viral Web3 app in an... afternoon using the ChainGPT AI skill for Claude Code. No coding experience required. I built Roast My Wallet. Paste any Ethereum wallet address, get a savage AI-generated roast of your trading history, a Degen Score out of 100, an on-chain report card, and three AI-generated NFT portraits. Here's exactly how it came together. Setup (3 minutes): ๐ธInstall Claude Code at ๐ธRun /plugin install ChainGPT-org/chaingpt-claude-skill ๐ธGet an API key at ๐ธType /chaingpt and describe what you want to build What the skill actually does: The ChainGPT skill doesn't just give you starter code. It knows the entire API. Every endpoint, every parameter, every credit cost, every error code. When I asked it to build the roast feature, it knew to call the LLM endpoint, how to stream the response back to the browser in real time, and how to handle errors automatically. I didn't look up a single thing. How it works under the hood: 1. Pulls real ETH balance and transaction count from the Ethereum blockchain 2. Feeds those numbers into ChainGPT's LLM and streams the roast back live 3. Calculates a Degen Score from your tx count vs balance ratio 4. Generates a report card with letter grades across Trading, Patience, Risk, Diamond Hands, and NGMI 5. Uses the roast text to generate three custom NFT portraits in parallel via VeloGen 6. Packages everything into a downloadable PNG card ready to post 7. Every feature came from describing what I wanted: 8. "Make the API key server-side." Done. 9. "Add an animated arc gauge for the degen score." Done. 10. "Generate NFT portraits using the roast text as context." Done. I never wrote a function or debugged an API response. I described outcomes. The ChainGPT skill handled the rest. If you can describe what you want to build, you can build it. Get your API key. Install the skill. /plugin install ChainGPT-org/chaingpt-claude-skill Anyone can build with ChainGPT AI!show more

Free NVIDIA GPU with 16 GB VRAM GPU for... Running Local LLMs! If you want to master local LLMs but you're waiting until you can afford a $1,500 GPU, you're honestly not going to make it. The open source AI ecosystem is moving way too fast for you to wait on your budget to catch up. Especially when you can build a bleeding edge inference engine from scratch right now, completely for free. You don't need a heavy local rig to start. Google is literally letting you use an enterprise grade NVIDIA Tesla T4 GPU for $0/hour. At standard cloud computing rates (~$0.20/hr), Google Colabโs 4 hour daily free tier hands you roughly $24 worth of data center tier GPU compute every single month. And most people just waste it. Letโs talk about the hardware you get access to for free. The NVIDIA Tesla T4 is an absolute workhorse: - Architecture: NVIDIA Turing (TU104) - VRAM: 16GB GDDR6 (320 GB/s bandwidth) - Compute: 320 Tensor Cores | 2560 CUDA Cores - Performance: 130 TOPS INT8 | 8.1 TFLOPS FP32 - Power: Sipping energy at a max 70W TDP This is the exact same hardware I used to run DeepMind's Gemma 4 26B A4B QAT MoE at a 250,000 context window without a single Out Of Memory (OOM) crash. If you have a web browser and 10 minutes, you have everything you need. Iโve put together a fully documented, cell by cell Google Colab notebook that teaches you exactly how to do this. Here is what the notebook actually teaches you: - How to provision an Ubuntu Linux environment with CUDA 13.0 and verify your driver stack. - How to pull the source code and compile the latest llama.cpp C++ binaries from scratch, specifically optimizing the build for your exact GPU using the -DCMAKE_CUDA_ARCHITECTURES=native flag. - How to directly download quantized local LLMs (GGUF format) straight from HuggingFace using the CLI. - How to manage 16GB VRAM limits, offload neural network layers to the GPU, and push massive context windows. Compile raw llama.cpp, ollama run a model, or spin up the LM Studio CLI. Pick whatever stack you are comfortable with. just start building. No hardware. No credit card. No excuses. Bookmark this post right now so you don't lose the tutorial. Even if you don't have time to run it today, you are going to want this workflow in your engineering toolkit. The link to the free Colab Notebook is in the comments below. Lemme know if you need more tutorials like this.show more

Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough... to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No โjobโ is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be โreplacedโ ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for โworkโ will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not โwhat we doโ, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. โ You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the โcluelessโ 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact donโt follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, โvirtuesโ and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as โbig daddyโ to โhelp usโ. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU โvolunteeringโ to โleaveโ by 60, to โhelp outโ CanadaPod style. โBrian, Iโm 24 what do I do?โ. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because itโs valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. When you see videos like this posted below, know one thing: Many of these folks had no real family of mental and physical support. Maybe no parent or one parent. Maybe only a broke system to prepare them forโnothing. This was not their doing. Now it is not your โjobโ to help them, it is your survival to help them if that is what you need. See some day after the dust settles these 20 year olds will be 40 year olds and running YOUR world. And at some point you may need them more than you think you do. You will need them, as they need you now. THIS IS WHAT PAST WISDOM KNEW. The elders of the past never found the need to piss on the youth and hope for the best. THE YOUTH ARE OUR BEST, let us all find ways to change it, even if every aspect of โthe systemโ wants us to berate them into the ground.show more

"Pros wonโt use generative AI, and when the bubble... pops, nobody will ever talk about it again." No. Thatโs delusional. 1/ Generative AI is already being used professionally at the level of big studios like Disney ($1B to OpenAI), and thereโs zero doubt that studios like Industrial Light & Magic, Netflix, Hollywood VFX experts, etc. are already experimenting with it too. Or do you think theyโre idiots? Theyโre not idiots at all. They have the experience and, more importantly, the DISTRIBUTION POWER. The point is: someone with taste, judgment, and storytelling experience, basically from their living room, will have access to (almost, or not even almost) the same capability as the big guys, because the pure "making stuff" skills have been commoditized, and the new way to create is just NATURAL LANGUAGE. What hasnโt been commoditized is good taste, the ability to create great stories that move people, and the ability to get them in front of people. So in the end, what wins is story quality and distribution. Having good taste, making a name for yourself, and owning strong IP (Marvel, etc.) will still matter. Thatโll be true right up until AI is genuinely opinionated and can create by itself: if it comes to that, with zero human direction, stuff as good as (or better than) the very best human experts today, and on top of that, interactive in real time... Because yeah: thereโs nothing in this universe that actually prevents that from happening. BUT WEโRE NOT THERE. For now, generative AI is a tool that needs direction and taste to make anything decent. And I hope it stays that way for a long time, because otherwise thatโs going to be a brutal hit to humanityโs ego. 2/ On the "bubble": you have to distinguish between a stock valuation bubble (possible, I actually believe it) vs a bubble like some people imagine where it "pops" and we never hear about AI again. That obviously makes no sense given how insanely useful it is. It can only grow, and itโs going to grow fast, regardless of any stock market drawdowns (the internet kept growing even when valuations got nuked in 2000). Either way, the near future is going to be extremely interesting.show more

Blake Livelyโs Met Gala Moment Was Deeply Tone-Deaf Blake... Lively showing up at the Met Gala this year, smiling like nothing happened, honestly felt surreal. Not in a good way. More likeโฆ are we all just expected to pretend the last two years didnโt happen? Because thatโs what it looked like. A reset. A clean slate. As if everything that went down with Justin Baldoni just evaporated the moment she stepped onto that carpet in a Versace gown. And Iโm sorry, but it doesnโt work like that. You donโt get to be at the center of a situation that serious, with that much damage done to someoneโs reputation, and then just reappear in full glamour mode like it was all some minor inconvenience. Whether people want to admit it or not, that whole situation left a mark. On him, on the project, and on how people see her now. What makes it worse is the timing. Walking into one of the most visible events in the world right after everything wrapped up just feelsโฆ off. Thereโs no reflection in that. No pause. No sense that any of it actually mattered beyond being something to get past. And then thereโs the bigger issue. When something tied to a story about domestic violence turns into this kind of public spectacle, it cheapens it. It stops being about the message and starts being about ego, control, and image. Thatโs the part that doesnโt sit right. You can call it strategy, you can call it PR, but to a lot of people it just reads as tone-deaf. Versace dressing her? Thatโs their choice. But letโs not pretend fashion houses donโt pick sides when they do that. They know exactly what kind of attention it brings. Same with the Met Gala. They donโt โaccidentallyโ invite people. Every name is a decision. So yeah, people are going to question it. They should. Because this didnโt feel like a comeback. It felt like someone stepping right back into the spotlight without acknowledging the weight of what just happened. Like the expectation is that the audience will move on simply because she has. Not everyone will. And honestly, they shouldnโt have to. PS: Thatโs the only soundtrack that actually fits that red carpet. moment.show more

This is gonna be so long omg but when... it comes to translating in Korean, itโs very very important to take in consideration of 1) Culture 2) Seniority, the Closeness & Intimacy of the people involved in a conversation. Because this gives an entire different vibe for the context. And we have to keep in mind that there are Korean phrases and expressions that simply donโt have just One way, exact words that can be translated in English. Translators can find ways to convey the meaning, but it requires more explanation and understanding of the context while conveying it, and not relying on assumptions. How about โ์ธ์ ๋ ์ฐ๊ธฐโ or โ์ธ์ ์ฐ๋คโ then? Here, a direct translation can simply be ์ธ์ ๋ ์ฐ๊ธฐ - be less grumpy/ frown less, etc ์ธ์ ์ฐ๋ค - being grumpy, frown, make a face, etc Here, I include an educational video of an English speaker talking with a Korean speaker where theyโre discussing a similar expression, โ์ธ์ ์ข ์ฐ์ง๋ง!โ (which in word by word in English, it sounds something like โDonโt frown/ Donโt make a faceโ) Now, as an English speaker, that sounds a bit harsh doesnโt it? Thatโs because such expression doesnโt exist in just One interpretation in English, so if we only read it as it is, without considering the context and the speakersโ closeness, weโre bound to misunderstand the context. Quoting some parts of this video, ๐: โNow, Tylerโs expression for today is โ์ธ์ ์ข ์ฐ์ง๋ง!โ. Have you ever heard of this expression? ๐ฉถ: Iโve heard something like that before ๐: Then doesnโt this mean thereโs a same expression in English too right? ๐ฉถ: Oh! Iโve only heard it in Korea ๐: Ah really? The guy then explained that if you say something like this in english, it can be rude. so itโs better not to say it in English-speaking countries. He gave examples like โIf you do that, youโll get wrinklesโ, and the other guy added something like โIf you make an ugly face, youโll have wrinklesโ and said that โIf someone (an English speaker) hears this they would think I must be crazyโ Here, theyโre talking about the cultural differences. A phrase like this, when expressed directly, without considering peopleโs closeness, and being translated exactly like that, would sound so negative to English speakers. *also notice how this phrase is being worded in various ways??? โHOWโ it can sound to someone, really depends on their culture, their closeness with the person, and context* So later on, he gave a few more examples like, โstop making such a long faceโ, and โstop wrinkling your foreheadโ. And concluded that: ๐: Well in that case, the phrase โ์ธ์ ์ข ์ฐ์ง๋งโ is basically a phrase that doesnโt exist in English. ๐ฉถ: Itโs an expression that we donโt use. Itโs not that it doesnโt exist. (This part, heโs explaining that thereโs no such a thing as word by word to explain this phrase in English, bcs we English speakers use different wordings that is more suitable for a situationโs nuances.) Then again, we have to consider speakersโ closeness as well because in Korea, itโs a huge thing. If you donโt understand how this works, you wonโt understand the nuances of a conversation. Youโre bound to misunderstand. If you refuse to understand it then, I donโt think you want to respect their culture. Because again, this is a huge thing.show more

I learned this the hard way: do NOT use... SwiftUI if you want your app to look and feel amazing. At least when coding with AI. (sorry, Apple colleagues reading this ๐ ) I'm sharing my process vibe coding this calorie tracker. I get a lot of questions about the fluid transition in the video. Here's the whole story. Initially, Claude built the grid with SwiftUI. It was quick and easy, and looked good! But the transition to the day view was a boring navigation push/pop. No fun. I wanted something custom. I asked Claude to make it a fluid transition that remaps the food tiles from their source to destination positions. All hell broke loose. Claude tried a bunch of horrible things. Initially it used matched geometry effects, which worked OK but didn't lend themselves well to gesture-driven animations. So it resorted to SwiftUI preference keys + geometry readers to figure out the source and destination positions and calculate the interpolated position based on gesture progress, coordinating across grid and day views. But this meant it had to write a custom layout because it couldn't reposition tiles inside the native SwiftUI grid. And it had to do an awkward handoff between views, which always created ugly pops or jumps. And don't get me started on trying to put it on a bouncy spring, that only made the math 10x buggier. Fortunately, Claude Fable was smart enough to see that this was becoming a disaster (and discover most of the issues itself, in the simulator), so it pivoted away from SwiftUI. Opus might not be so wise, so you'll have to pay attention and intervene. Ultimately, it rewrote it in plain UIKit and everything turned out great. After that, we moved from 2D images to 3D assets, which introduced a new set of performance challenges and yet another rewrite to a single Metal layer, which is what you see below. I can write more about the 2D-to-3D saga if anyone's interested. If I were to do it again, I'd just say "Don't use SwiftUI" from the very first prompt, and save a few hours of headaches. SwiftUI can be amazing for a human iterating directly in code. But agents don't benefit from any of its advantages. Plus, agents have seen decades of UIKit training data, so they're great at writing it, and it's far more flexible. Here's hoping we see more agent-friendly iterations of SwiftUI in the future. Till then, I'm probably going to avoid it.show more

โจ I open sourced my first Chrome extension ๐... SuperLevels I vibe coded it to replace all my Chrome extensions that are increasingly being bought up by spyware and malware companies who sell your data or worse hack your accounts and steal your stuff/money/data, which I'd call one of the top security risks right now For example: Chrome extensions can read your cookies or localStorage data, including session tokens, then login to your web or email accounts and hack you, they can inject code into any site to pull data form any site you browse, then break into your crypto accounts, drain your wallets, and selling your browsing history to ad companies, but that'd actually be the most favorable thing to happen of all these! Chrome extensions are just very very very unsafe So I coded my own, that I can trust because I made it, and I can read the source code: my extension is called ๐SuperLevels and has all the features that the Chrome extensions I used to use have but all built into one safe one The cool thing is it's 100% open source and free, and you can audit the code first with AI yourself before installing it, and then if you do install it, customize it to your liking again with AI It has these features that improve my daily workflow while browsing the web: ๐ฎ Tab Cleaner Automatically closes inactive tabs after a configurable timeout (default: 5 minutes). Set excluded hosts to keep important tabs alive. View and re-open recently closed tabs. ๐ช Cookie Editor Full cookie manager for the current site. View, edit, add, and delete cookies. Export cookies as JSON. Expand any cookie to see and modify all fields including domain, path, SameSite, secure, and httpOnly flags. ๐ Redirect Tracer See every redirect hop your browser took to reach the current page. Shows status codes (301, 302, 307, etc.) with a visual chain. Copy the full redirect chain to clipboard. ๐ Dark Mode Instant dark mode for any website using CSS filter inversion. Adjustable brightness. Toggle per-site or globally. Images and videos are automatically re-inverted so they look normal. ๐ X Dim Mode Custom dim theme for X/Twitter with 7 color palettes: Dim, Slate, Jade, Plum, Dusk, Ember, or a custom hue. Live preview in the popup. โก JS Toggle Disable JavaScript per-site with one click. Useful for debugging, reading articles without popups, or testing progressive enhancement. Page reloads automatically. ๐ซ GDPR Cookie Consent Dismisser Auto-hides and auto-clicks cookie consent banners. Supports OneTrust, CookieBot, Didomi, Quantcast, GDPR plugins, and dozens more frameworks. Toggle off if a site breaks. ๐จ Live CSS Editor Write custom CSS for any website, applied in real-time as you type. Saved per-domain. Supports tab key for indentation. ๐บ YouTube Unhook Removes YouTube distractions: no homepage feed, no sidebar suggestions, no end screen overlays, no Shorts.
