Ten years ago, at Eko Hospital, what was meant... to be one of the happiest days of our lives suddenly turned into a moment we will never forget. When Shikemi was born, we were filled with joy and gratitude. But that joy quickly gave way to fear. I remember walking over to her cot and seeing her drenched in her own blood. My heart stopped. The placenta site hadn’t been properly clipped, and blood was pouring out. In that split second, everything else faded. I rushed to alert the doctors. They moved swiftly. She was treated immediately, but complications followed — an infection set in, and instead of taking our baby home, we stayed back. Ten long days in the hospital. Ten days of prayers, tears, hope, and faith. We even held her naming ceremony right there within those hospital walls. Today, she turns 10. From that fragile little baby fighting for her life to a strong, vibrant, beautiful girl only God could have written this story. We are forever grateful. Please join me in celebrating our miracle. Sulwe can’t resist a mock charge especially if it... gets Keeper Philip wet. She's a serious character who doesn't tolerate fools. Just like her mum, ex-orphan Sonje. Her dad? Well, Sonje had no shortage of suitors, but one elephant really captured her heart – a handsome bull we nicknamed Osama. He was besotted with Sonje and the feeling was mutual; she behaved differently around him and was obviously very enamoured. Osama would leave for many moons and then return expressly, it seemed, to reunite with Sonje. He trailed after her for days at a time in the hopes of whisking her off on a private date in the forest. It was during one of these rendezvous that we believe she conceived Sulwe! Twenty-two months later, Sulwe was born – our little Christmas miracle. And now she's growing wild in the same forest where her mum enjoyed her "honeymoon"!show more

I’m insanely proud of this piece and the collection.... This is edition #2 of Left Alone and whomever collects the digital version of it, can claim this if they want it. Description ⬇️: Left Alone by Archie Shepp (1978) is one of the most beautiful pieces of instrumental music I know. A saxophone, accompanied by a piano, plays notes that resonate with my heart. In my mind, this photograph moves with an impossible slowness to an undefinable silence between notes in jazz riff. The duality in this Aria, Left Alone, is nihilism and conflagration. I posed the model and the fabric in the Japanese character for fire. She models the pose of power in the fluidity of dance. A flame, alone, is a powerful and fragile life force that is on the brink of greatness, and the precipice of darkness; life extinguished. The red is her power extending from heart center and the white is the searing flame. The art is laden with abstractions. Broken pieces of the self that seem grotesque but to the observer, are beautiful. To illustrate how these glitches are manifest in ourselves, I’ve placed each on a Fibonacci curve that spirals from the heart, representing our repeating thought patterns. In Left Alone, I chose to hide the Fibonacci curve. In the latter Arias, I chose to reveal them. “6529 Memes” is the best curation I’ve ever made,... and also the one I had most fun doing. There’s a beautiful story being told by the art along the exhibition — of seizing culture with our jpgs, of the importance of decentralization and freedom to transact, and thus conquering the future with the open metaverse and sovereign digital rights — in a way that is comprehensible by the new audiences but still leaves them a bit mindblown. The curatorial text guiding the visitors through the sections is inspiring and educational, and the mix of incredible visuals and sharp or dank crypto memes help audiences grasp the significance of this art movement. In total, there are 64 CC0 NFTs in exhibition, matched and sequentially distributed among the 27 displays: mostly The Memes by 6529, a few Meme Lab pieces, one 6529 Complaints card, and a special CasaNUA.6529 Meme Card submission, which I’ll talk about soon… We also exhibit a Bicasso oil painting brought from Italy by my own hands, and hand out mini NFT Adoption Pathway and Meme Enjoyoor cards for visitors to take home. A 6529 onboarding stall is being set up. And the screens displaying NFTs with audio sport individual headphones for visitor immersion. I received with profound grief and deep sorrow, the... heartbreaking news of the untimely transition to glory of Eng. Anne J. Cheboi, one of the recently appointed members of the PPP Tribunal, following a short illness that she battled with courage. Her untimely demise is a monumental loss to the Public Private Partnerships sector, the Engineering fraternity, and the broader institutional framework supporting infrastructure governance, commercial justice, and investment facilitation within our country. She distinguished herself as an exceptionally energetic, focused, and intellectually astute professional whose commitment to learning, service, and institutional excellence became evident from the very beginning of her tenure. Her engagements consistently reflected diligence, clarity of thought, admirable composure, and a remarkable readiness to deepen her understanding of the evolving PPP ecosystem and its strategic importance to national development. Even within a relatively short period of service, she demonstrated immense promise, professional maturity, and a genuine passion for public duty. She carried herself with grace, discipline, and purpose, while continually exhibiting a collaborative spirit and a deep appreciation of the responsibility entrusted to the Tribunal. Jones reports on February 16, 2025 at 1900 hours the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Services (ERS) Team was called up by the State of Ohio Emergency Management Agency (EMA) by request of the Kentucky EMA to assist first responders in Hazard Kentucky. The effects of the powerful storm that has swept through Kentucky has caused flooding that has inundated roads and homes with several deaths reported. This weather event could overwhelm their resources in Kentucky in aiding their community and the Sheriff’s Office is responding to assist when and where requested. Five (5) members of the Emergency Response Services (ERS) Team are answering this call to service working various positions in incident management along with the Northern Kentucky Incident Management Team. Butler County Sheriff’s Office personnel will be deployed for seven (7) days. This operation is funded by the Federal Government. “Our training and service to the community reaches far beyond the borders of Butler County. Report on Recently Abducted Alawite Women in 2026 This... report was prepared by Syria Justice Archive Syria Justice Archive following contact with a group of human rights activists, the families of the girls, and community sources. 1. Mariam Faez Sultan, Age 16 Abducted on January 9, 2026, in the Mezzeh area of Damascus (she lives in the Mezzeh 86 neighborhood, which has an Alawite majority, within the broader Mezzeh district). After contact with her family, her father confirmed she had been abducted. Strangely, he offered thanks and praise to the “General Security” after learning that the caller belonged to a team working with the UN Office of Investigations. Nevertheless, as of the writing of this report, March 8, 2026, the girl remains abducted. 2.Lana Al-Suleiman, Age 18 Abducted on March 1, 2026, in the Burj Al-Ghanum area in the city of Masyaf, Hama countryside. She was released two days later on March 3, 2026, and was compelled to appear in an interview stating she had not been abducted and had simply been at a friend’s house. It should be noted that our team and most documentation pages recently chose not to publish abduction cases, and that the girl appeared in posts on Facebook from her local area indicating she had been missing, yet none of the posts mentioned abduction. We were unable to contact her family. 3. Layal Ibrahim Abdullah, Age 25, Married Abducted on February 22, 2026, while traveling by public transport from the town of Slunfeh toward the city of Latakia to visit a doctor for a previously scheduled appointment. All hospitals were checked; she was not found. Layal was released on February 27, 2026. A documentation team contacted her family, who confirmed she had been held for four days, but refused to provide details, saying: “What matters is that she came back.” 4. Alma Elia Saleh, Age 14 Abducted at Karsana Square in the city of Latakia on March 4, 2026. After contact with her family, her mother was in a state of breakdown and confirmed that her daughter was missing, adding that they had filed a report with security forces. The girl was released one day later on March 5, 2026. Unofficial sources reported that the Coastal Police Station arrested the abductor and secured the girl’s release. 🔹Our sources confirmed that following a visit by the UN Investigation Team to Damascus, during which files on kidnapped Alawite women since 2025 were presented, the HTS-led General Security is now pressuring abductors to release the girls within days. This marks a shift from the previous pattern of denying abductions and shielding perpetrators. In several instances, units of the General Security or HTS factions were themselves involved in the abductions, as in the case of Abeer Suleiman from 2025 (cited as one example among others), who has not been released to this day. At the time of her abduction, General Security personnel in the city of #Safita contacted the abductors in Idlib to warn them that her family had filed a complaint — less than half an hour after her father and brother had done so. Over the past year and continuing to the present, dozens of Alawite women abducted since 2025 remain unreleased. The total number of abduction cases from 2025 exceeds 80 documented cases. Having one of the worst days of my life!... Leela got rushed to emergency vets last night, she started falling over then had partial paralysis on one side then both. Had CT scans today, I’ve had to collect her and drive across to another County, for a more specialised hospital. She’s got to have emergency decompression spinal surgery. I can’t stop crying. It’s got nothing to do with her operation she had Monday this is separate. Insurance company will not payout either as they say she’s used her allowance. I’ve had to pay £2300 for CT scans and now £6600 for her operation including an MRI, so the surgeon can know exactly where to cut through. I’d sell my kidney if I had to though, she’s my baby. Watching her trying to walk and dragging her legs is a memory I’m never going to get out of my head. Our dogs are our life. I’m totally in bits 😭😭 There are obvious risks with her operation and I’m terrified.show more

They’re hit with the largest crowd they never expected, many of which was anchored by 50-100 crypto friends rekindling, and ready to lend their knowledge to explain the works in front of them like they’re the artists. Speaking to Scott Winkelmann (beeple bro) about how incredible it was to see all the smiling faces videotaping Regular Animals. He mentioned 50+ inquiries for buying one (they sold out before i walked in). It will be the most viral piece in all of Art Miami. Our internet native generation deserves this movement. It’s uniquely ours and it’s real as fuck, in the deepest of bears. It wasn’t passed onto us as inheritance, it grew from twitter telegram and discord. It is extreme ownership of what is truly ours, and these Basel VIPs don’t even know (yet) how based it feels to enjoy the true sovereignty of this movement. "One life rescued… and nine new lives to protect.... This is Rafaela. We rescued her in May while she was wandering alone through the market in the San Rafael district. She was alone, vulnerable, and struggling to survive. Shortly after, we discovered she was pregnant. Today, thanks to that rescue, Rafaela was able to give birth in a safe place, and her puppies are growing up with proper food, veterinary care, and plenty of love. But this story also reminds us of something very important: spaying and neutering save lives. Thousands of dogs are still born on the streets, where they face hunger, disease, abuse, and abandonment. Spaying and neutering is one of the most humane ways to prevent more animals from suffering. At Huellas de Esperanza, we believe that rescue is important, but prevention is too. I’m still here because this was the hardest fan... project we’ve faced in these six months. My patience and leadership were tested like never before to the point that I almost gave up in the middle of the preparation. There were nights I whispered to myself, “This will be my last.” I felt so pressured that sometimes I just wanted to hide and run away. On top of it all, I was carrying my own personal struggles, which made every step heavier. We took risks in almost every decision we made during this project. There were times when all we could say was, “Naniniwala kami sa Cheffies.” From tickets and props to the fan project and the fanzone everything was about risk and trust. Trusting the Cheffies that they would show up. Trusting the sponsors that they were only waiting for us to open our plan. Trusting Dustin and Bianca that they would see and hear our efforts. And above all, trusting each other as admins that no matter what happens, we would not give up on this. But it wasn’t just about risks. It was about sacrifices the sleepless nights, the drained wallets, the heavy emotions, and the constant balancing act between work life and fandom life. It was about choosing to fight even when we were tired, choosing to stay even when walking away seemed easier. Every small victory mattered, and every breakdown taught us something new. Looking back at these six months, I realized it’s not only about the events, the projects, or the milestones. It’s about the people who stood by me when I thought I couldn’t go on. The people I met along the way who turned into a second family. The laughter in between the stress, the comfort in the middle of the tears, and the bonds that were built in both the best and worst days. This is why, even when I wanted to let go so many times, I stayed. Because every hardship was matched with a reminder that I was not alone. Because this fandom has become more than just support for Dustin and Bianca it has become a home where friendships are nurtured, where trust is strengthened, and where love is felt. So this 6th monthsary is not just a celebration of Dustin and Bianca, though they remain the heart and reason for all of this. It is also a celebration of the Cheffies who never stopped believing, of the sponsors who trusted us, of the admins who fought side by side, and of the family we’ve built within Casa Dustbia. To Dustin Yu and Bianca De Vera, thank you for being the inspiration that started all of this. You may never fully know the weight of what we’ve gone through, but because of you, we learned to be braver, stronger, and more united.
