This is around 10am CST here in Fort Worth... TX. He is at his specialist. It was $350 just to set the appointment for a basic examination. His gums were pink they said he was stable when I left. They quoted $1800 for the ultrasound, sedation, blood work and check his lymph nodes because the specialist said they were swollen. This is all before any kind of surgery or any other medical things needed to confim the diagnosis. I paid $500 deposit to get them start working on him. It will probably around 3pm when I can pick him up if all goes well. Praying God has a plan since he has gotten us this far. I was ready to humanely euthanize him this morning but if there is hope I want to see if we can help. I might need to create a fundraiser. I think I've stumbled onto the future of building... startups. It wasn't supposed to happen this way. It's 2 AM. I'm editing a podcast, questioning every life decision that led me here. I've already burned through hundreds of thousands on this thing since 2021. Zero monetization. Just burning cash. My business partner's probably thinking I've lost it. We're juggling 6 businesses, and here I am, playing wannabe Joe Rogan. Then it hit me. Not during the podcast. In the darn comments section. I start sorting comments by "contains question" using this AI creator tool called VidIQ. "How do you validate ideas?" "What tools do you use?" "Can you dive deeper on XYZ topic?" These questions keep popping up. Over and over. That's when the lightbulb went off. What if I could turn this into a lead magnet machine? Find questions. Answer them with free stuff. Rinse. Repeat. I team up with Design Scientist to crank out 2 lead magnets a month. (Tried doing it myself first. But it was hard lol) We start pumping out things like "6 Tools I Use to Find Startup Ideas." Suddenly, I'm drowning in subscribers. 10,000 to 20,000 a month. On autopilot. Now, you're probably thinking, "Cool story, bro. But how's this a big idea?" Clarity of what to build is probably one of the most valuable ways to build products people want. You have to understand a niche's problem better than they even know them. Problem: what's the roadblock keeping founders stuck? Segment: group these founders by their specific obstacles. Product: build the bridge that gets them over their hurdle. I use ConvertKit like a scalpel, dissecting these segments. Not by age or location. By the problems they're desperate to solve. Suddenly, I'm staring at a treasure map of founder pain points. And that's when you can build startups to solve their problems. Instead of being a lead factory, you become a startup factory. You use tools like v0/replit/cursor to prototype like a madman. And it makes your life less stressful as a founder. Because you know people are lined up to buy the products. I'm so convinced this is the future of startup building, I've bet $1M+ of my own cash on it. Building startups to solve people's problems. And cool part is this blueprint can be replicated in any niche. The best SaaS ideas aren't in some Silicon Valley incubator. They're hiding in your "free" content. Think of it like this (Isenberg's formula?): (Engaged Audience) x (Targeted Lead Magnets) x (Problem-Centric Segmentation) = Product-Market Fit on Demand Here's the step-by-step: 1. Use AI/software to categorize every single audience interaction by problem type. Build a heat map of pain points. 2. Create ultra-specific lead magnets for each major problem cluster. Think "5-Step Framework for Validating SaaS Ideas" not "Generic Startup Guide". I also use free communities as lead magnets. 3. Forget demographics. Segment by the problem they're trying to solve. Use ConvertKit to build dynamic segments that would make Zuck jealous. 4. Use AI to build rapid prototypes for top problem clusters. Test with your segmented lists for instant feedback. Reading with your baby isn’t always as simple as... it might seem. Earlier this week, a parent asked how I’d advise reading to a toddler who may not have the attention span for a full book and who, when handling them, often tears the pages. I’m so glad you asked! This fantastic video, shared to TT a couple years back by hanzcakess, illustrates both the realities of - and several important lessons for - parents and caregivers when it comes to reading with infants and toddlers. First, when reading with very young children it’s important to begin with realistic expectations. At this little guy’s age (which I’m going to guess is around a year, give or take 2 months) babies‘ attention spans are VERY limited. Think 1-2 minutes tops. What does that mean for you? First it means that you’re unlikely to make it through an entire book. And that’s just fine. Rest assured that there’s still great value in the activity. Further, don’t be surprised if your child is more interested in interacting with (or at the earliest stages, even chewing on) the book itself rather than attending to the story it contains. That’s ok too. For both reasons, beginning with sturdy, laminated board books is well advised. Not only do these tend to be super short (with most intended to accommodate for babies’ brief attention spans), but they’re made to withstand the rigors of handling by infants and toddlers. Now, some might look at this video and (on first glance, at least) see primarily inattention. But not me! Here’s what I see: First, I see a completely normal toddler who’s already putting some really impressive book knowledge on display. Notice he’s advancing front to back and left to right as he turns pages sequentially. They’ve done this often. Also want to shout out what a truly fantastic job Dad is doing here. Notice that he’s totally letting his son dictate the terms the activity. He’s not insistent on completing the text, but goes with the flow as his son turns the pages. As the pages turn he’s helping to illustrate that the print on each one contains a unique message. And he’s singing the text! Brown Bear is a great book for this and many board books lend themselves particularly well here. Your baby isn’t judging your singing voice. Kudos on making the experience engaging. In light of all the above, don’t be afraid to stray from the text altogether as needed and use this time to simply engage in conversation about the pictures and introduce some new vocabulary. Finally, while lap reading is fantastic, at this age you may also find benefit in reading face to face, allowing your child to tune into your expressions alongside the book. Remember, there’s nothing your baby loves seeing more than you. Rest assured this stage doesn’t last forever. You’ll be snuggling up for longer sessions in no time. Good morning Oscar; I’ve been pondering on how to... respond to these screenshots without context and eh; I am totally out of words. 1. Crown has been in school for EIGHT terms, you have paid for two and mostly on condition that you know where I stay, or act positive to your sexual advances or other random that fit your narrative then. Refusing to comply would mean no support. And that I was totally okay without financial support from you. 2. Don’t lie on my dad’s name like that. You almost broke my little brother’s hand fighting for crown in front of both of them. You have insulted my parents to their faces more than once and you are shocked that my dad isn’t besties with you. 3. Oscar, you paid that 1.2M after not talking to your child for a year. How are you shocked that she was in a different school and her school fees paid???? You sat in that meeting and said you are comfortable with crown in fort portal, she went to fort portal and then you got angry???😂😂 4. You can’t do the bare minimum like ask about your child’s school. You know crowns school, if you were intentional; you’d know that it is among the TOP THREE schools in fort portal. You can’t fail to consistently pay 1.2M for school fees, then refuse to pay 850,000 and then fight to pay 2.5M. How does that make sense??? 5. You have both my dad’s numbers, mom’s numbers, grand mom, aunty, twin brother. My dad told you, his home is ALWAYS open for you to visit your child. If you wanted to see your child, you would, but of course, please use me as your excuse. My family called for a meeting, you sat and agreed to terms that you couldn’t comply to thereafter and somehow I am to blame for your deadbeat tendencies?? 6. You want to have “full access” but won’t do the bare minimum to achieve that. You are angry that you showed up to my house at 10PM and no one opened? You are angry that you said “I love when you are sweet to me” because I was polite and I blue ticked you???? You are mad because I said crown needed consistency?? Be for real! 7. Crown used to call you, and you wouldn’t pick, she would reach out and never hear from you, you made crown pack a suitcase twice and wouldn’t show up and communicate. I don’t have to tell your child one single thing about you, never have, to her, you are a good person, she will make prayers for you, and ask God that one day you’ll call her, and yet, you never do that. 8. When I was still staying with crown, I welcomed you into my home, I even told you, I’ll make sure I’m not in the house when you are visiting and will come back after crowns sleeping hours. Just go, bond and do homework, put her to bed. You did that for three weeks, you then started showing up late in the night, not doing the homework, and being sexual. 9. YOU ARE A DEADBEAT FATHER!!!! The worst kind actually because you even have the audacity to try and make it look okay. I won’t be doing a back and forth with you, you are a very bad person. And No, I’m not happy that my child isn’t without her biological dad, but I’ll say this again, she is GOOD!!!! I work hard for that reason. My parents numbers will always be available if you want to visit or see her, you know my home where she is. But that said; you don’t pay school fees, you don’t offer support, you don’t check on her, you don’t pick her calls. I won’t be doing this back and forth with you, you are a deadbeat!!!! I graduated!!! I earned a Bachelor of Arts in... Sociology with a concentration in Psychology, summa cum laude! Five years ago, I started this journey with an eighth-grade education, and even that was from a Scientology school, where critical thinking was discouraged and the quality of instruction was subpar, to say the least. I did not get here alone. Thank you to NYU School of Professional Studies and Angie Kamath. Thank you to everyone who supported me, encouraged me, and believed in me, especially on the days I was not sure I could do this. And there were plenty of those days. To my therapist, who told me not to give up when I was told I likely would not be accepted into a prestigious program. To my tutor, without whom I likely would have given up at the harder points along the way. To all those here who have sent me loving messages on social media. And to everyone else who has cheered me on in person through the ups and the downs of it, it means more than I can put into words. It got me over this finish line of being a student again and graduating. That goal once seemed impossible. To those who have asked me, “Why this? Why now?” I pursued higher education to reclaim a piece of myself. When you come out of a high-control group like Scientology, or even a high-control family, there are parts of you that were never allowed to fully develop. Those parts include your curiosity and your ability and right to question. Education was discouraged because knowledge creates confidence in your ability to trust your own mind and navigate the world. That leads to true independence, and that would never be allowed. I wanted that back. But more than that, I needed to understand. I needed to understand how my mother could have us join Scientology when I was just eight years old, and how my family and I could be part of something like this and stay in it for so long. I needed to understand how these systems work, how they influence people, and how they take hold. Without education, access to real information, and support, people can fall into systems that work against their best interests. Some assume that because they are educated, even highly educated, they would never fall for something like this. But it turns out that is not necessarily true. What many of us are impacted by, but never quite understand, is how high-control groups operate. Many still do not understand how misinformation spreads, and how tribalism and radicalization shape what we think, what we believe, and who and what we trust. Without that awareness, none of us are immune. Today, we are seeing how these forces can influence good people and distort reality. History has shown us that this is not new; it just comes in a different form now. Social media connects us in ways we never imagined, but it also creates echo chambers that reinforce beliefs and justify behavior without question. Real critical thinking is hard when we are fed so much by algorithms designed to appeal to us. In learning and achieving this milestone in my own life, it has helped me take a good, hard look at my own beliefs and ideologies. This journey was about healing for me, but also about figuring out how to help others in whatever way I can in the future. So what is in my future? I am considering continuing my education and possibly pursuing a master’s degree, with the goal of contributing to advocacy and policies that protect people, not systems. For now, I am taking this moment in. I am proud of myself. And I am grateful. Thank you for being on this journey with me.show more
