Explosive testimony out of Ottawa has shown that a... B.C. researcher was directed by senior government officials to destroy decades of addiction research, after presenting findings that didn’t align with the NDP’s approach. This is deeply disturbing. For years, we’ve been told these policies were evidence-based. But what happens when the evidence doesn’t support the ideology? A decade into this crisis, we are still losing 5 people every single day. We cannot afford to keep getting this wrong. It’s time to change course: toward real recovery, treatment, and results.show more

Brands pay this guy $3,200 a video for an... influencer who doesn't exist and she clears $47,000 a month while he sleeps. He got tired of watching e-com brands burn $8K on a single shoot day, so he built a node-based system that turns one AI face into 5 monetizable clips a day. No model, no photographer, no studio. Here's the exact breakdown: → He picks the uncopyable feature first: vitiligo. A face the niche has zero supply of and rivals can't clone in a month → Midjourney renders the base, then a trained LoRA in Flux locks that one face so she never drifts post to post → Kling animates her, ElevenLabs gives her a voice, HeyGen syncs the lips, and now she "films herself" every day → TikTok feeds her the trend on its own through the niche tag → Shopify fulfills merch and fitness plans under her face with no agency taking a cut The key move 96% skip: you choose the uncopyable feature before you ever generate the face. Pick a generic pretty blonde and 400 clones bury you in a week. Pick vitiligo, a scar, a gap tooth, something with no supply, and you own the search tag for free. The economics are stupid: each clip costs $0.40 in compute, a brand pays $3,200 to drop a product into it, and it ships in 12 minutes. First night live, her brown mini-dress fitting in a Paris hotel pulled 62K views in 18 hours. By morning the store had 312 orders at $9,360, for a girl who was a prompt 72 hours earlier. The comments fill with "wait, is she real?", and that argument is the fuel the algorithm runs on. No photographer. No model agency. No shoot day. Just one locked face, a trend tag, and the discipline to pick a feature nobody else can render. Half of you are already typing that this is dystopian. The other half just opened Higgsfield. Which one are you?show more

Slideshow clipping has to be the chillest business model... you can really be making $5k - $15k+ a month running 10 TikTok accounts and have complete location freedom + make more than you would working a job you can literally just go to content rewards, pick a saas or brand to promote, for example skin care buy 5 aged TT accounts to start with connect US proxy / sim find videos in the niche the product is in for example skin care steal the hook of the video and content inside it and turn it into a slideshow for example: “skin care tips for broke girls” generate the images with NBP by finding a Pinterest image and getting the JSON from Gemini or ChatGPT promote the product as another “glow up” tip Post 1 a day from the start and as the accounts get more warm boost it to 2-3 + scale to more accounts If you can’t make your first $5k doing this then there is no hopeshow more

Hard to put into words what today has meant... to me -- and we're still hours away from the Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire premiere. The last time I was at the Firehouse in uniform was 15 years ago, and it was just me. Today, there were dozens; it was like a Comic-Con just for us. But before any of that -- to get picked up by the Ecto-1 and to drive through the streets of New York? Are you kidding me?! Thank you, for the hospitality -- if you're reading this and care about Ghostbusters, BOOK THEM for the Ecto-1 tour! Nick, Matt, and Greg were incredible. Thank you, @gankstrr for freezing with me for hours outside of a fire station and taking care of me. And thank you, Brinkley Studios for being a Kinda Funny fan and making sure I saw you at a place that's so special to both of us. The day is just getting started, but I'm already overloaded with gratitude, wonder, and emotion. ❤️ Here's a thread of memories!show more

A 22-year-old guy from Poland created a virtual AI... influencer named Mila who doesn't exist, and 41,000 people follow her anyway, with over 1,200 paying to chat with her. Investment $250 for AI tools and video generation Subscription price $8.99 Total revenue $15,200 in the first 30 days The success lies in the fact that it is an untapped niche with almost zero competition, and the hyper-realistic "real girl living her everyday life" persona was highly intriguing to fans. To get started, he posted short AI-generated clips on TikTok as if they were her daily moments. It created a cognitive dissonance for viewers: How can this girl be so consistent, always posting perfectly, and reply so personally? Because of this, he quickly built an audience and directed them to a paid subscription platform, where he offered exclusive chats powered by Claude and more personal content. This all took him 25 days, and his expenses were covered just 8 days in, after which he began generating net profit. When you don’t know where to start, build a person that never existed.show more

This carrier is tied to at least four other... businesses. This was their fifth truck crash. They average 2.67 violations every time they are inspected and get put OOS at least 50% of the time. Their most recent violations include maintenance issues and drivers operating without a valid CDL or medical card. Vehicles crash into buildings more than 100 times a day in America. That means this is not some freak once in a lifetime event. It happens constantly. In this Colorado crash, police say the semi came off Santa Fe Drive, went off the road, hit a parked car, and shoved it into a QuikTrip building. The wall partially collapsed. The person inside the parked car had to be rescued. There were employees and customers inside the building. The driver reportedly claimed brake failure, but investigators said they found no mechanical issue with the truck and cited him for careless driving causing bodily injury. This is who we, as in our families, are sharing the road with and this one is not even as bad as some others. By the time a truck is plowing into a gas station, the real story usually started long before the day of the crash. It started with what kind of carrier was allowed to keep operating like this. It started with what kind of truck was allowed on the road. It started with what kind of driver was put behind the wheel. It started with what kind of violations were tolerated. It started with what kind of warning signs kept getting ignored. We have made trucking way too comfortable with excuses. Brake failure. Medical episode. Sun in the eyes. Could not stop in time. Sometimes those things are real. A lot of times they are just the first explanation people reach for after the damage is already done. The bigger issue is exposure. When the striking vehicle is a commercial truck, the consequences go up fast. Also worth remembering, in large truck crashes, the people who usually pay the price are not the truck occupants. It is the people in the other vehicles, the people in the buildings, the people at the fuel island, the people just trying to exist around this stuff. That is why carrier fitness matters. That is why maintenance history matters. That is why driver qualification matters. That is why linked entities and repeat patterns matter. Everybody loves to talk about the driver after the crash. Not enough people want to talk about the carrier before the crash. Who hired him. Who qualified him. Who maintained the equipment. Who let the violations stack up. Who kept the operation moving despite the warning signs. This is not just about one Littleton crash. This is about the level of risk we have normalized on American highways and in American communities. The worst part is this one still does not represent the bottom of the barrel.show more

Kitten update #8: The kitties are back home! Everyone... is getting very strong and active now. I forgot to take their weights this morning so I'll have to do it before the next feeding, but I'm confident everyone is continuing to gain. We started adding in some wet food today. I mixed up a slurry with some of the formula and stuck it in a syringe with a nipple on it. Nobody took to it right away except gray tuxedo, who loved it, but everyone else got some squirted in while they were chewing on the milk nipple and then they loved it. Well, except for dark tortie, which is a little ironic since she is by far the biggest little monster of the litter, but I guess she's done so well on the formula she's not interested in making a change yet. Butts are all looking SO much better now that I stopped using the wet wipes. However, we have now started to have some concerns about little to no pooping. Dark tortie hasn't pooped for 24 hours so I eliminated the yogurt from the formula and am crossing my fingers for some action before the end of the day or back to the vet she goes. I don't know how long they'll let me play with their tummies like this but it sure is fun for now!show more

My experience as a Defenders fan going to STL... America's Center & The Dome for an away game. This was a solo trip, did not bring my family on this one. The St. Louis Battlehawks home games truly are one of the special environments for United Football League. I’ve been to 4 AWAY games for DC Defenders over the last 12 months and the environment for this one was fired up! They definitely should NOT move STL to a soccer stadium if they keep showing out like they did yesterday. I got to my hotel at 1AM on game day after a late flight from the west coast. I woke up 6 hours later, walked towards the stadium and randomly caught the STL player walk-ins. Then, I walked over to the tailgate and met up with The Bottom Line and enjoyed some mimosas and breakfast burritos with Ed Ploeger and his gang. Thanks for the hospitality! I was able to get him a signed Sam Kidd jersey as a thanks for all he does for the UFL community! After the tailgate, got in for gate drop at 0930, and went straight down to the field. I was able to say hi to a few players and talk with Steven McCrane as his son was nailing 50+ yard field goals with ease. Chatted up and made peace with a few STL fans around me. Once the game started, they had the place LOUD, and my watch kept alerting me that my hearing was getting damaged 🤣 . Being there for the first ever 4 point field goal by Matt McCrane made the travel worth it. After the home fans had a few rounds of beers, the heckling began (which was expected), but I had to pop about 6 beach balls/🎈 as I became the 🎯 for drunk fans as the only DC fan in the section. I tossed the balls back a few times until I immediately got hit with about 3 balls in a row. So that part was a bit of a let down, as I was just trying to enjoy a game. The halftime show was great. Overall, the game experience itself left something to be desired with the penalties and getting harassed by fans who were clearly recording trying to get rage bait engagement on 🎥. Probably won’t be going back to a STL game again, but I’m glad got to check it out! Pregame/Tailgate: 5/5 Halftime: 5/5 Game experience: 3/5 Getting to/from stadium: 5/5show more

So you want to become a VTuber in 2025?!... Here is a guide on how to get started, made by 4 year full-time VTuber and Manager, Lulu! 1. Know your goals Know if you are getting into VTubing as a hobby or as a business from the start and set your expectations accordingly 2. Start small F2U and P2U models and assets are available plenty via Nizima and Booth, VRoidstudio is free to make a 3D avatar with 3. Test the waters Make sure that streaming is possible for you, test your tech, your upload/download speeds, your voice, your set-up. Make sure that you give yourself a good experience as well as your future audience 4. Take your time Getting to affiliate/monetization will take time, getting used to the tech side of things takes time. It's unlikely you will wake up to 1k viewers overnight, and not every day will be great interactions only 5. Connect with other VTubers Make space and time for new friends, don't see them as networking opportunities or competition, but people on the same path. 6. Grow organically Using Ads or shifty tactics to stand out can not only jeopardize your standing in the community but can cost you your channel 7. Don't give up Even on days when things are difficult, don't give yourself too much pressure. Enjoy what you can and don't let other people or tech problems get you down, the journey is worth it.show more

My faith journey! I grew up Baptist but was... disfellowshipped from the church I grew up in in 2014 due to being in an interracial relationship. We went to different denominations until the missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints knocked on the door. I had been studying anti-Mormon and anti-JW literature and apologetics so I was ready to debate. I did fairly well, missionaries left discouraged but left me with a Book of Mormon. I decided to read it and underline mistakes or doctrinal errors. I was heavily convinced by the time I reached 2 Nephi 25:26 that this was true and I needed to reach out to the missionaries, so I decided to get baptized and my fiancé did too. We were married a couple of weeks later in the chapel. We received a blessing that next year and ended up with twins but we went inactive before we could be sealed. In 2020, my wife and I separated due to my ego and selfishness. I wanted to experience the world. I wanted the fast life; the women, parties, and recognition. It was empty happiness. The happiness always faded and I went to bed alone with no kids or wife. The alcohol always wore off. We ended up getting back together in the fall of 2020 before we finalized the divorce. She was a believer, I considered myself agnostic. She couldn’t attend church because we lived 40 minutes away from the chapel and it was a huge burden to carry 3 kids to church by herself (our 3rd child was born in 2018). On February 1, 2024 one of my best friends took his life. I was devastated. I had nothing to lean on. This guy was very strong and we worked out together all the time. He showed no signs of depression or self-harm. If someone that strong could get so low that they’d take their own life, what hope was there for me? I gave my life to Christ that day. I didn’t go back to church until a month later after his funeral. We went to Little Rock on the Saturday of his funeral. We stayed the night and went to a park with the kids to play. A stranger walked up and started talking to us. He asked if I was a member for some reason. I told him I used to be, but struggled to reconcile science and religion. He was a scientist! He studied non-Hodgkin lymphoma at UAMS. He really helped to increase my faith and I started reading scripture again. We went back to church that next week and was baptized about a month and a half later, rejoining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I’m preparing to receive the Melchizedek priesthood now, and ultimately to receive my endowment and be sealed to my family. No matter how far you’ve strayed, or how far way you get from God, he is always waiting with his outstretched arms ready to welcome you home. 🇳🇵NEPAL KILLED THE INTERNET - GEN Z KILLED THE... GOVERNMENT Nepal just reminded the world what happens when boomers try to unplug Gen Z. You get a riot, a body count, and a Prime Minister stepping down with smoke still rising in Kathmandu. It started the way these things usually do: an out-of-touch government trying to control what it doesn’t understand. In this case, 26 social media apps, including everything from Facebook to Reddit to WhatsApp, were axed under a “new registration rule.” Translation: the state wanted a cut of the revenue and a leash on dissent. What it got instead was 100,000 furious twenty-somethings with nothing to lose and no memes to scroll. The protests exploded faster than an Instagram story. By the time authorities realized they’d just poked a hornet’s nest, it was too late. Live ammunition was flying, people were dying, and ministers were resigning. First the Home Minister bailed. Then the Agriculture Minister. And finally, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli himself, exiting stage left after turning Nepal’s capital into a scene out of a dystopian docuseries. What really burned the streets wasn’t TikTok getting booted - it was the arrogance of a system convinced it could muzzle a generation raised on VPNs, protest hashtags, and influencer call-outs. These kids didn’t just lose their platforms - they lost their patience. They’ve watched nepotism rot their institutions and now they’re supposed to sit back while the government kills the WiFi and calls it reform? The response from authorities was a masterclass in how to turn a policy blunder into a national trauma. Tear gas, rubber bullets, and eventually real ones. 19 people dead. Hundreds wounded. And for what? A short-lived digital blackout and a PR disaster. Oli’s resignation may feel like a victory, but it’s a fragile one. The platforms are back, but the scars are still fresh - and the next leader knows they’re inheriting a country one trending topic away from another explosion. You can’t throttle the internet and expect democracy to breathe. The people just taught their leaders a brutal civics lesson. Axie started in 2018. Creatures you could collect, battle,... and raise while learning about a magical new technology called blockchain. Part of the original concept were axie homes called Terrariums. Places where your axies could live, get stronger, and harvest resources. Battles ended up getting prioritized instead, and Terrariums got shelved. But for eight years, that original idea held a special place in our hearts. Terrariums are a nod to that original dream. We're hard at work and our goal is to deliver the first version in late June. Here's how they'll work on day one: 1. You activate a plot of land. 2. You put your axies on it. 3. Every hour, the world ticks forward on its own. While you're away, your land is working. 4. It earns a reward called bAXS, the in-game currency that feeds back into the broader Axie economy. 5. To stay running, your land burns a fuel called Lunium. You get it two ways: buy packs, or let your land generate it slowly for free. 6. How much you earn scales with your axie power, a stat currently called Atia's Flame. Stronger (collectible) axies earn more points. More points means a bigger share of the prize pool. 7. Each land type has its own pool, split between everyone who owns that type. 8. There will be free terrariums that can be used to earn axie experience points (but not bAXS). These should also be useful for onboarding newcomers. The day-to-day is simple by design as we want to make sure that the gameplay is easy to grasp at first and doesn't become a grind for landowners. the letter "g". in isolation, a welcome addition to... the alphabet we all know and love. but in packs, they can wreak havoc on the very airwaves we habituate, day in and day out. just think... 3g... 4g... dare i say, 5g? and don't even get me started on c-band. you thought one letter was bad? wait until you hear about TWO letters. but i'm getting ahead of myself... where were we? oh yes, the dreaded "G". already, telecommunication firms are beginning to hype up the eve of the 6-"G," a new-fangled technological miracle set to revolutionize "video streaming on the train" as we know it. but what if i told you there was a darker side to this wave of innovation? let's unmask this con-job for what it really is: a method of once-and-for-all commandeering the vacuous minds of their loyal disciples, turning the masses of mind-numbed sheep into even more mind-numbed, uhh... aphids, or silkworms, or something. don't believe me? well... take a look at this: footage leaked by an anonymous technician at sloppco communications sheds new light on this "6-G" technology, revealing it for what it is: a means of mind control. using little more than this fashionable metal propeller hat, researchers were able to directly alter this lab sealnar's thoughts and memories, all while staying well within the FDA's so called "safe exposure limits." with just 30 seconds' worth of bandwidth, the team at sloppcom were able to get this unwitting sealnar to purchase a new funko pop, with 85% success— all the way down to the correct edition, number, and finish. and according to our whistleblower, just 5 minutes of daily exposure could be enough to turn this communist-worshipping marxist sealnar into an ardent conservative. I keep thinking about one of the original moments... that the Left really started targeting Charlie and making Turning Point the enemy and how Charlie never backed down. When we hired Candace Owens, I had the honor of it being the three of us traveling around quite a bit… we went everywhere. Between work and building organizationally, to putting her on tour for the very first time with Charlie, helping with her personal socials and website— just everything. Charlie wanted to do everything he possibly could to maximize her voice as he did with so many because he loved her and saw her ability to do so much good for America. But this was in the era of the rise of Antifa that was manufactured by the Left. The first real danger I think we ever experienced where we were just living our lives and it made us realize we were in for a larger long term war was when we were together, just eating breakfast before some meetings and suddenly outside our window a large gang of antifa had assembled and harassed us out of our meal and then, while shouting “fascists” over and over took us to the streets to surround us and scream in our faces. They poured water on us and I’m sure wanted to throw other things at us had the police not arrived on the street and got us out of there. Charlie never backed down, in fact, instead of getting angry or physical, he stood bravely and tried have a debate with these obviously paid antifa bad actors. My young and honorable friend, (he was always genuine in his desire to save every single person he could) stood there and gave those people as he did everyone the chance to talk about ideas and I personally witnessed how fearless he was many times in the face of dangerous, unhinged activists, early early on. He never once feared these people. He just wanted to do right by what he knew was right. He knew other bystanders were always watching and learning and there was no way he could back down and let these people lie and falsely frame America the way they were trying to do. I’ll never forget his smiling face, “have a wonderful day, enjoy your capitalist breakfast.” He would have tried to talk sense into anyone and everyone and that is what he did every single day. That is why Charlie won over America. He was honest, true and genuine. Never gave up and stood in the pocket in the face of paid agitators and evil.show more
