Golden Axe for Commodore 64 (1989), 8-bit conversion of the famous Sega arcade. Programmed by Steve Crow, limited to 2 guys on screen/other issues, but graphics are decent and music by Jeroen Tel is beautiful. Probably done under impossible deadline and zero support. #C64Reposts

Nineteen eighty-four. Raid Over Moscow on the Commodore 64. No tutorials. No checkpoints. Just sirens, a countdown, and trial and error. Before Call of Duty, war came through a keyboard and a SID chip. Real hardware. Real Cold War tension. BOOM! GamesYouLoved #c64reposts #c64

R-TYPE for Commodore 64 (Activision/Electric Dreams/1988) Developed by Manfred Trenz in only 7 weeks and it's pretty good, with great SID in-game music and very smooth gameplay. Admittedly, it's probably build upon the Katakis code base, but even so, impressive feat. #C64Reposts

THE SACRED ARMOUR OF ANTIRIAD for Commodore 64 (Palace/1986) Early Metroidvania example done concurrently/without knowing about Metroid ("Backtracking: The History of Metroidvania" by John Szczepaniak). Came with comics by Dan Malone. ⚠️Odd controls/unfair enemies. #C64Reposts

Some games for Commodore 64. Launched in 1982 and marketed as "computer for the masses", sold millions of units, typically hooked to a television and loading stuff from tape. This home computer idea was popular in Europe, South America and Asia with different systems. #C64Reposts
