Visualization of the day: Eigenfaces When I started #computervision research as an undergrad, eigenfaces were the rage. The pioneering work of Sirovich & Kirby and Pentland & Turk was everywhere. So much great related work by Allan Jepson, David Fleet, Michael Black, and multidimensional extensions by M. Alex O. Vasilescu! A fun one to revisit.
