NEW VIDEO: The #CottonwoodFire captured on a security camera at Eagle's View Cabin. Owner Marc Leduc said the three-bedroom cabin was built just four years ago for his own family and rented on Airbnb to other families vacationing at Eagle Point. Security footage facing away from the cabin shows the fire racing up the mountainside in a flash of light, followed by thick smoke and ash. The fast-moving fire has devastated parts of the area, leaving many property owners waiting to learn the fate of their homes and cabins. Beaver, Utah

.NOAA’s #satellites are monitoring significant #wildfires that broke out across the western U.S. last month and continue to burn. One of the wildfires—known as the #CottonwoodFire—has burned over 93,000 acres, making it among the most destructive wildfires in Utah’s history, and the largest one burning in the U.S. today.
