The 2.4 km stretch of sand area from Uzhaipalar Silai to the Light House will be kept clean with the help of mechanised sweepers in the morning. The conservancy workers will work in two shifts. In Shift 1 (6 AM to 2 PM), a team of 70 workers and 4 cleaning machines are actively engaged in deep cleaning the sand areas.
