Alert : #Graphics Nurse Critical After Husband Attacks Her With Weapon and Acid in JP Nagar Bengaluru In a shocking incident, an estranged couple's relationship took a violent turn on Thursday morning when a woman was brutally attacked by her husband in the #JPNagar area of #Bengaluru. The victim, identified as Madhumita, works as a nurse at a private clinic in the city. She sustained severe injuries from a weapon and floor cleaner acid, and is currently fighting for her life in critical condition at a hospital. The horrific assault occurred around 9:15 am during the morning hours. According to the police, the accused, Venkatesh, arrived from #Madurai earlier that morning, tracked down his wife and carried out the attack. An alert Traffic Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) who was on active duty nearby rushed to the spot and successfully apprehended the accused on the site. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South Division Dr. Kona Vamsi Krishna, IPS, Madhumita originally hailed from #WestBengal and Venkatesh is a native of Madurai, where he works in an oil company. The couple tied the knot in 2023, but due to ongoing marital disputes, they had been living separately for the past year. Police have arrested Venkatesh, and further investigations are currently underway to uncover the full sequence of events leading up to the attack.
