It’s comical how so many people who couldn’t hit criticize Don Mattingly when he talks hitting! One if the differences in the #gurus and the real hitting coaches is that the #gurus believe that they could play today because they can hit in a batting cage off a tee or pitching machine when in reality they couldn’t hit when they had their chance. A real hitting coach remembers what worked for him because it’s ingrained in him.
