Interesting situation occurred last night in a Region 6B BBB game between Gettysburg & Ipswich #SDPreps Tied at 59 w/0:22 left, Ipswich had the last possession & scored the winning basket. But as it appears, the basket should have never counted. Gettysburg submitted a formal appeal but was pointed out that "SDHSAA handbook states appeals regarding an officials ruling can not be considered" & the basket will still count According to an open letter statement by Gettysburg, "this situation prompted discussion about possible future improvements to help prevent similar circumstances."
