2/ In April, Avihu Levy published a way to create quantum-safe Bitcoin transactions without changing Bitcoin’s consensus rules. The team then put it into practice on mainnet. The next step: bring down the computational cost of generating these transactions.

3/ The recent Quantum-safe Bitcoin transaction required about 3,100 GPU-hours of brute-force hashing across roughly 100 GPUs. The hashing code was built quickly with AI assistance and shipped once it worked. How much faster can it run? That’s the challenge.
