I would argue that a sensible rules official would claim the removed stick improves playing condition and you would be penalized for placing it back. Am I crazy? This rule reads like it applies to someone brushing leaves on the green into your line and not what the video shows.

I think you’re probably right but also, all of us ams need to play more common sense golf. No one in my group would even think to do this, even if they knew the rule. I’d assume most golf groups wouldn’t either.

They have leaf lowers to blow debris off the green in spring and fall. I am going to let me partner clear the green putt and then blow all the detritus back on the green and then putt.
