Specifically prompted for "slow cinematic push-in," "shallow depth of field," and "micro-parallax" to get that premium brand-film look. → The Output: Motion that looks like a high-budget fashion shoot. So Runway Aleph 2.0 just dropped, and it introduces a pretty interesting workflow for AI video footage editing. Rather than repeatedly prompting a video model and hoping it makes the change you want, you can edit a specific frame first, then use that frame to guide the video generation. For this test, I take an existing footage inside Runway: • Picked a frame from the original video • Used Nano Banana Pro to add a new effect/object • Brought that frame into Aleph 2.0 to generate the updated video It feels like a more controllable and potentially cheaper way to make targeted edits to existing footage than current AI video omni models available like Seedance and Gemini.

Still just cubes in Blender, but now I’m moving the character through space and doing a handheld camera follow. Same basic process: 1. Generate a start frame in Midjourney 2. Block out the scene in Blender, animate the camera 3. Feed both to Seedance Seedance nailed the gritty handheld feel and followed the character movement around the car way better than expected. You can get way more ambitious with your directing than I thought.

Testing Grok Imagine 1.5's abilities with the burst frame technique (a brainstorm exercise in which you use a reference image to create a bunch of new scenes, locations, and characters in the same visual style, from which you can then extract key frames to create new scenes). This one is for an imaginary Italian Giallo thriller. The image quality is quite good in Imagine 1.5 - a little too good - I had to grunge it up a bit for a more vintage look. Seedance 2 gives you a more rhythmic burst frame video with shorter snippets - Grok Imagine gave each snippet a little more room to breathe.
