NEWS UPDATE BAKHMUT/ARTEMOVSK LATE AFTERNOON MAY 20 Bakmut has fallen. Ukrainian forces in the SW corner of the city and near the city in the fields has retreated. Mopping up operations will continue until May 25th. But it seems Bakhmut is fully in Wagner/russian hands now. There are more rumours about other progress for the russian side, as for example the capture of Khromove as well, but such rumours tend to run wild when big things happen, so until otherwise proven I will discard those rumours. Wagner forces and many prorussians are or will celebrate today. They got their special date, May 20th, now known as the liberation day, of Mariupol and Bakhmut. Ukrainian authorities and many proukrainians will probably deny the fall of Bakhmut a couple of days at least. When Soledar fell it took two weeks until ukrainian authorities conceded defeat. I will write a little more detailed update in a while and both talk about what happened during the battle, it's consequences and future possibilities. Last but not least I must express my respect to all those fine warriors from both sides who has fought hard and bravely during the battle of Bakhmut. And also ask everybody to give some thoughts to the tens of thousands of soldiers who have been killed, maimed or wounded during the battle.

Previously, they rarely left their camp at the water treatment plant, but now they appear to be conducting a full-scale reconnaissance operation. 🚨 As the nationwide shutdown continues and lines run out the door, TSA agents are being seen standing around! This isn't a break or a temporary protest. They are DONE. Even though they will still receive their full paychecks in backpay and Elon Musk is helping to subsidize, they still want to prove a point. ICE agents are now being taken away from their work deporting illegals to lend a hand at the airports. This is a really bad look for the Democrats and RINOs who are keeping it shut down.

Nobody will cry when you’re gone. Those who care will also be long gone. We’ve seen the statistics. Foreign names are now the most common baby names in many of Europe’s largest cities. Most children in schools are foreigners. Foreigners demand to implement their own religious laws in sovereign nations. Foreigners win elections without speaking the local language. What is happening is a total transformation of these cities and countries. In a generation, they will probably still have the same name on the map, but they will be completely different places, with a new majority making their own laws, culture, norms, values, and language. Europe has completely failed at assimilation. What it has instead are protected parallel societies that will gradually subsume the native populations. And nobody will care. It will be taken for granted. You’ll still be called a radical for saying something went wrong. Just like nobody cares that the Ottomans took Constantinople. Or that the Arabs took the Levant and North Africa. They’re all Turks now. They’re all Arabs now. And you’re still some weird radical for supporting the losers or denying the identities that replaced the old ones. Conquest doesn’t always need swords.

To say this has been a month no one ever imagines is possible in life is an understatement Late June… we find out my wife’s father has the same version of lung cancer she has been fighting/beating and that he can’t handle treatment so he only has weeks to live. At the same time, we find out her cancer is back in her hip socket. Better than in 7 spots like before but still, back. So, the oncologist determines 5 rounds of radiation starting July 20th July 4th comes around and we spend as much time as we can with her dad, traveling down to Delaware every week, sitting on the porch, letting him smoke and talk about anything and everything.. telling us “In 75 years they’re still going to be talking about me.. you know why? Because of how I was always smoking in the alley, in the alley (in his best singing voice)” July 10th, phone rings around 9am… we already knew why.. dad was gone. Quietly, peacefully, at home. But still gone, from the exact cancer she just beat. A complete mindfuck. No way to explain, no explanations, just gone. She asks herself why could she beat it and he couldn’t even handle treatment? Some things, we will never know the why to. Fast forward to today. She completes her 5th radiation session on her hip and get to ring the bell as a sign of completion. But, it’s not the same. She used to call dad right after every session to let him know how it went. But today, there was no call. She fights through the tears to let him know she made it, she did it for him, and she will continue to fight for him, and never stop. She is unstoppable She will never quit She is a saint And quietly, when cancer creeps in, she is a savage and will beat this again

Armed with revolvers and lever-action rifles, they have clearly looted some hidden stash. Rumor has it that the rebels are hauling their loot into the nature reserve, where a ton of valuables can now be found. In order to promptly deal with these troublemakers, Fence has temporarily lifted the restriction preventing Scavs from attacking one another. Only the most cautious will thrive, as there are currently no consequences for a shot in the back - not just in Woods, but everywhere. The max number of PMCs on Woods has been temporarily reduced, while player Scavs will spawn there earlier than usual. The cooldown between Scav raids has also been significantly reduced. The event will run until June 29, 9:00 AM BST / 4:00 AM EDT. You can earn a unique achievement by completing the associated task.

Strait of Hormuz over the last 24 hours: TACO for the 5th time? Trump just canceled his own strike again because the Iranians are begging for a deal. Well, if you look at the video from MarineTraffic, the only visible traffic is through the Iran lane. At the end of the video, you will see the LNG tanker, Gaslog Shanghai, show up as it was reported that the tanker was abandoned. Rotterdam Energy made it through. Lucia A, a Suezmax, made it through at the end of the video using the Oman lane. There are transits happening, but they're not enough to change the oil math. In my view, unless the US is willing to give Iran complete control over the Strait of Hormuz, there's no deal. That's been the case since the MOU, and it's still the case today. Now that the Bab al-Mandeb card has been played, I think the next step in escalation is Fujairah. I've been saying that's the last card the Iranians could play, and they've been waiting. I use Ngong Road almost every day, so I know how bad the traffic has been around Junction Mall and Naivasha Road. Sometimes a short journey would take much longer because of the heavy traffic. The new Ngong Road Naivasha Road Flyover is good news for everyone who uses this road. It will help reduce traffic, save time, make travel easier and also improve safety for drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and boda boda riders. For small business owners, it means customers can reach them more easily. For commuters, it means getting to work or school on time. For boda boda riders and matatus, it means making more trips instead of spending hours in traffic. This is the kind of development that makes a real difference in people's daily lives. Congratulations to my boss President William Samoei Ruto, PhD and the Kenya Kwanza Administration for delivering another important project for Nairobi residents. Ni Ruto wa kazi once again.
