Motorcyclists leads Arkansas state police on high speed chase at speeds of 142 mph. When a motorcyclist decides to pull the throttle to 142 mph on a crowded interstate, standard pursuit tactics go out the window. This is the breakdown of a high-stakes game of highway chess between the Arkansas State Police (ASP) and a rider who thought he could outrun the radio. An ASP trooper spotted the motorcyclist aggressively lane-splitting through heavy traffic on eastbound I-40. When the emergency lights went on, the rider didn't pull over—he pinned the throttle, accelerating to a staggering 142 mph while weaving through traffic. Chasing a sportbike at those speeds is incredibly dangerous for the public. Recognizing the risk, ASP dispatchers and surrounding units immediately began setting up a containment net. While one trooper pushed from behind, secondary units moved ahead to cut off escape routes. The suspect attempted to lose police by transitioning onto southbound I-430. He didn't realize a secondary trooper had already anticipated the move. In a rare and decisive move, the blocking trooper crossed the highway median and positioned his patrol vehicle directly across the southbound lanes, creating an unavoidable physical blockade. Coming around the bend, the rider was blindsided by the police cruiser blocking his path. The visual obstacle forced him to slam on his brakes, dropping his speed down to between 32 and 45 mph before wiping out in the grass on the side of the road. The low-speed impact successfully halted the flight, Because of the quick deceleration, he avoided any injury and was immediately swarmed by troopers and taken into custody. Upon searching the suspect’s backpack, troopers recovered a blue pistol outfitted with an extra magazine. To make matters worse for the rider, troopers on the scene recognized the exact motorcycle from days prior, noting that he had successfully fled from law enforcement at extreme speeds in a previous encounter. This time, his luck ran out. The rider later apologized to the troopers, admitting his actions were entirely foolish. The motorcyclist is now facing a massive laundry list of legal trouble, including: Felony: Fleeing in a vehicle causing substantial risk of serious injury or death. Misdemeanors & Violations: Reckless driving, speeding (estimated at over 65 mph over the posted limit), improper lane changes, improper passing on both the left and right, failure to use turn signals, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance, and operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement. Very immature individual that this biker is. He gave zero thoughts on the dangerous situation he created for himself, the troopers, and other drivers.

Reckless Driver Arrested After Eluding Police Across Redmond; Drone Program Helps Track Vehicle Officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the early morning hours of April 23 after noticing it had no license plates. The driver accelerated well above the posted speed limit and failed to stop, ignoring emergency lights and sirens. The vehicle continued through Redmond, running red lights, making dangerous turns, and driving at high speeds. At one point, the driver returned toward an officer, flashing high beams in an apparent attempt to provoke a pursuit, and drove into oncoming traffic. Due to the reckless behavior and risk to the public, officers did not engage in a pursuit. Multiple drones were deployed remotely from docking locations throughout the city by a single Drone as First Responder (DFR) pilot, allowing officers to maintain continuous visual contact with the vehicle as it drove recklessly across Redmond. With assistance from aerial support, officers tracked the vehicle as it continued driving dangerously through the area, including SR-520 and downtown Redmond. Spike strips were successfully deployed, and the vehicle was later located at an apartment complex. Officers conducted a high-risk stop, and the driver was taken into custody without incident. The individual was arrested for eluding a police vehicle and further investigated for DUI. The driver was under the legal drinking age, and an open alcoholic beverage was found inside the vehicle. The individual was also driving with a suspended license. This type of reckless driving puts everyone at risk. Thank you to assisting units for their coordinated response.
