Although Hip-Hop is musically centered, the story of how it came to be does not begin: "Once upon a time, a DJ named Kool Herc threw a back-to-school jam in the Bronx on August 11, 1973." That is to say, the story of the more incredible culture isn't how it was created as much as the story is how it happened! Hip-Hop, in the broader context of policies like benign neglect implemented by President Richard Nixon, was a reaction to cuts to public education and other social services, legal segregation in the form of redlining, and failed gentrification of the Bronx, NY, in the early 1970s. Hip-Hop was anti-establishment because the establishment was anti-Hip-Hop. By 1980, the innovation in Hip-Hop was primarily driven by its diversity, but as one of my favorite scenes in the movie Wild Style depicts, becoming a part of Hip-Hop culture was also more elusive than it is today, "Yo, I'm ready to paint Virginia but yo what are you doing here in the yard you're not supposed to be here." Hip Hop was powerful because it was a culture you couldn't choose to enter. It was more a matter of whether or not you were allowed, and that hinged upon not the color of your skin but your authenticity, creativity, and the accumulated direct experiences you had with its stewards; in other words, if you wanted to be down, you had to prove yourself over time, regardless of race. Today, bigotry and race-signaling slogans like "they're not like us" have become the barometer for exclusivity in Hip-Hop culture, not aptitude in a given element like it used to. At least based on the framework of Hip-Hop counterculture and what it was countering while I was growing up in the 70s. At what point did Hip-Hop go from your participation in it being grounded on the merit of your creativity, leveling out the playing field, to being overwrought with zealots restricting one's participation based on race, and why?

Megan Thee Stallion is being accused of lying on the witness stand by online hip hop fans regarding her mental health, and need to spent over 200K on mental health therapy — to support her Lawfare defamation lawsuit against hip hop journalist, court reporter, and media personality, Milagro Gramz…. Now just put things into perspective — online commentary from hip hop fans are questioning how Milagro with only 40 followers can affect Megan’s mental state so dire, when Rap/Hip Hop ICON, Nicki Minaj, who has over 200 million followers didn’t affect her at all, according to Megan…. "Big Foot" is a song by rapper Nicki Minaj, released on January 29, 2024. The song is a diss track released in response to a lyric from rapper Megan Thee Stallion's single "Hiss", released three days prior…. In the diss song, Nicki refers to Megan as promiscuous alcoholic who is being passed around by industry men, also claiming that Megan slept with her best friend men and dead mama boyfriend — as well as lying on Tory Lanez because she was not shot… Nicki Minaj returned to the Billboardcharts the week of February 13, 3024 — with her new hit song, “Big Foot.” The song is not necessarily a proper single, it’s a diss song, but it became a big win for Nicki anyway. As her latest offering appeared, the superstar added to her growing list chart wins, including on one ranking that she made history on just a short time ago…. “Big Foot” launched at No. 3 on last week’s edition of Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart. The tune sold a little more than 36,700 copies in its first tracking period, according to Luminate….That would normally be enough for the cut to rank as the bestselling in the hip-hop genre, but that frame turned out to be incredibly competitive….

"The Sound of Silence" is an iconic folk-rock song by the American duo Simon & Garfunkel. It was written by Paul Simon and released as a single in 1965. The song's haunting melody and evocative lyrics made it a timeless classic that continues to resonate with audiences across generations. The genesis of "The Sound of Silence" can be traced back to Paul Simon's early days as a songwriter in the early 1960s. He wrote the original version of the song when he was just 21 years old and it was initially titled "The Sounds of Silence." The song was included in their debut album, "Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M," released in 1964. However, the album had limited success, and Simon & Garfunkel's future as a duo was uncertain. Despite the lackluster performance of their debut album, the song's potential caught the attention of Tom Wilson, a producer at Columbia Records. Without Simon or Garfunkel's knowledge, he decided to remix "The Sound of Silence," adding electric instruments and drums to the acoustic version. This new version gave the song a more contemporary and dynamic sound, capitalizing on the folk-rock movement that was gaining popularity at the time. In January 1966, the remixed version of "The Sound of Silence" was released as a single, and it quickly began to climb the charts. The song struck a chord with listeners, as its lyrics tapped into feelings of isolation, alienation, and the struggle to communicate in an increasingly disconnected world. The opening lines, "Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again," instantly captured the imaginations of listeners and set the tone for the rest of the song. As "The Sound of Silence" gained traction, Simon & Garfunkel's popularity surged, and they went on to release more successful albums, becoming one of the most influential and celebrated musical acts of the 1960s. The song's success also played a significant role in propelling the folk-rock genre into the mainstream. Over the years, "The Sound of Silence" has been covered by numerous artists, further cementing its status as a timeless classic. Its enduring appeal lies in its ability to evoke deep emotions and contemplation, making it relevant in different historical and cultural contexts. The song's legacy has been immortalized in popular culture, appearing in films, television shows, and advertisements, further solidifying its status as a song that transcends time and resonates with people from all walks of life. Its powerful message about the importance of meaningful communication in a world filled with noise and distraction continues to be relevant and poignant to this day.

Here's more evidence that Trinitarians are panicking and learning on the job. This fake guru "Juju aka Johannas Silencio" doesn't even know that the standard version of the LPT only generates an inconsistent set by assuming we are counting gods by classical identity. This fraud thinks that talking about counting is switching from the LPT to the MPT. He's absolutely clueless. Beau Branson, The Logical Problem of the Trinity (pgs 16-17) "So, why does the anti-Trinitarian think that the logical form of P is inconsistent?...On the other hand, suppose we instead take “is God” in S1 through S3 univocally and take “God” to be a predicate and “is” to be the “is” of predication. Suppose we analyze the counting statement expressed by S7 in the standard way, and understand “is God” as it occurs there in the same way we did in our interpretation of S1 through S3. And suppose we otherwise leave our regimentation unchanged. The logical form of the claims expressed by S on this interpretation of it can be represented in PLI as: LPT-2: (1LPT-2) Gf (2LPT-2) Gs (3LPT-2) Gh (4LPT-2) f6=s (5LPT-2) f6=h (6LPT-2) s6=h (7LPT-2) (9x)(8y)(Gx & (Gy ! y=x))" "So, if the orthodox Trinitarian wants to give an analysis of P, that is, an interpretation of S, that is both (a) non-heretical and (b) offers a solution (rather than a non-solution) to the LPT, it must fall into either: (1) the Equivocation Family, which equivocates on “is god” between P7 on the one hand, and P1 through P3 on the other hand, or (2) the NCIC Family, which counts by a relation other than classical identity." (Ibid. pg 64) Branson rightly notes that there are only two families of solutions to the LPT: Equivocate on "is God" between P1-P3 and P7, or count gods by a relation other than classical identity. Hey Juju, if how we count in the Trinity is merely a metaphysical issue and not a logical one, then why does the LPT assuming a particular counting method to generate the inconsistent set and why is one of the two family solutions denying that counting method? Precisely because it's integral to the LPT. Stop cosplaying as the Christian savior responding to the LPT and do some reading.

kyungsoo briefly talking about his upcoming (full) album. and now, speaking of the album again, you really wanted (me) to (have a) dance, right? as for dancing, i do it a lot while in EXO, i pretty much do those (dances) there. personally, when i do it (the album)- what i want to do is to be able to really enjoy it together on stage rather than dancing. like, i personally want it to be something where we all have a little fun together, rather than just looking at the dance like this (stay still). this time i'm preparing hard while have that kind of hope in mind, that i think it would be nice. everyone, please look forward to it. probably, it will be really exciting (songs). so, i also were curious about that experience on stage between the sitting or standing? but since you could still enjoy it while sitting, if you decided to (chose) the sitting. or you can get up together and maybe have a little fun, that's fine too. those are what i personally think. well, i'll tell you all about the episodes of this album later. it's fun. and there are many things that have changed along the way. to put it simply, it was a song that i thought was exciting, uh.. turned out wasn't that excited. so it became clear a little later and (we) decided to change it, the title song. when it comes out, i have a lot to talk about now, so i'll tell you all about it then. there are many songs (on the album) i plan to sing them all during (the concert) performance. please look forward to it. there isn't much left now. i will prepare that again with a fighting spirit. yes! i think you might be able to see something new again. because i'm going to make an extraordinary appearance, i'm trying to get my mind right this time. so, please look forward to it, everyone. cr. westwindy77

Worrying insight from a retired British Army Officer who was NATO's deputy supreme commander of Europe Krishnan Guru-Murthy, "You've been critical of Donald Trump, you wrote an article saying it's worse than appeasement the way Trump was behaving. But it now appears that Ukraine the UK and Europe are all going along with it, are they wrong?" Sir Richard Shirreff, "If Russia refuses the ceasefire the illusion of diplomacy collapses" "If Russia accepts the ceasefire then the real test begins" "The test is when Washington recognises that Russia inevitably breaks that ceasefire as it absolutely certainly will, because nobody can trust Russia" "That will allow Russia once again to dictate the terms of reality to President Trump" Krishnan Guru-Murthy, "Is that your view of a peace deal, that Russia would always end up breaking peace?" Sir Richard Shirreff, "Absolutely, no question about it. It will manufacture an excuse, an attack, it will flood the information space with fabricated evidence, it'll claim victimhood, it will weaponise diplomacy" "Russia can't be trusted" "This is in a sense the naivety of the White House that Russia has only ever been an empire" "Russia is an imperial state that will never stop until it has dismantled Ukraine and brought it back under the empire, removed it from the map as a soverign state" "And the only thing that is going to force Russia to stop, is if Russia is firmly stopped and defeated" "This peace deal if it happens will allow Putin to declare victory and to stage another attack when he's ready"

Ben Affleck breaks down exactly why Hollywood is dying and the math is brutal. It costs a minimum of $25 million just to shoot a movie today with any A-list stars, no massive action sequences just 40 to 50 days of standard production. Then you spend another $25 million to market it, which puts you at $50 million before a single ticket is sold. From there, theaters take 50% of every dollar at the box office so if your movie grosses $100 million, you walk away with $50 million , the exact amount you already spent making and marketing it. Which means a $25 million movie has to gross $100 million at the box office just to get back to zero. And most movies don't come close. The 2025 domestic box office hit $8.9 billion which sounds okay until you realize it's still down more than 20% from pre-pandemic levels, with the average wide release earning 14% less than it did the year before. So what happens when the math stops working? Studios stop taking risks. "When things are more expensive, people get risk averse. And when they're risk averse, they do the same shit. That's how you get the safe, homogenized stuff. And so it's a vicious cycle." The second thing killing it is streaming, people see the trailer, think it looks good, and decide to wait for it to hit Netflix. The only movies that survive the math are the ones audiences refuse to wait for which is why every theater slate looks like a Marvel calendar and why even Ryan Coogler making a Creed film with Michael B. Jordan is still considered a risk because it's not a sequel to a sequel. The system doesn't reward creativity but rather punishes it.
