Sick video how did u make it?

Adobe premiere mostly

What do you use to make these video edits? They look great

Hey Greg, great plugins! I've made an opensource tool called CCAUDIT that audits where you are wasting tokens (e.g. agents, commands, and MCP loaded but never used) and helps you get rid of them. Let me know if you try it!

You forgot @_GateAI

3 FREE Ways to Save You Money/Tokens in Claude Code

These look really useful! Especially Codeburn for cutting down on wasted context

Slick visuals!!!! How did you make it??

Plugins save tokens but skills save entire workflows. Codify the pattern once and every future session inherits it automatically. Guide on building skills that fire without prompting:

Drop those plugin names, I’m listening.

I like the motion design of your videos

short form video goals

The real token saver is simply yelling at the model like a tired engineering manager.

Claude Code token-saving plugins can mask output degradation. The silent cost.

How do we enable those plugins? I already use caveman, but what about morph and codeburn?

Great plugins! Gonna use them now

plugins help but the bigger sink is the agent re-exploring the repo every session, same 30 files re-read every morning. giving it a map of the codebase once cut my token use more than any plugin

Saving tokens in Claude Code sounds minor until you have it running all day and realize how much context gets burned on repeat work.

this saves token prioritizing quality:

@gregisenberg always looking for ways to save tokens, my wallet needs this 😂

feel like probably not necessary if you have budget.. as we often found out the CoT is really important.. like GPT-5.5 solving math problems, it always have pattern "We need..." which boost the model performance

Bookmarking this 👍🏿

token cost is quietly the real constraint on agent workflows now. the plugins that win won't add features, they'll make the agent do more per token. context efficiency is becoming the actual performance metric

AI can make the first cut. Taste still decides what stays.

You can add ToolSnap to the collection, it will save you a lot of context tokens 😉

Anything similiar for codex ?

Great sharings!

Good list to have ;D

Good stuff Greg. We're seeing ~25% token savings on PostRoutine's content generation with strategic plugin use, definitely worth exploring.

plugins help but the real leak is context reload every fresh session, nobody plugs that

most claude code plugins i've tried net-added tokens once you factor in the tool schema loading on every request

Token-saving plugins are useful, but the bigger win is knowing when not to load context. A good Claude Code plugin should save tokens and leave a trace of which files or sources it skipped.

its not the right way to cut your expenses the right way is using cuz its fable 5 like and costs 1/58th

The motion graphics are clean!!

The plugin layer helps. But most people ship bloated system prompts and call it solved. The tokens you don't send are cheaper than the ones you compress. Start with what's in the context, not what wraps it.
