The Kazipet–Vijayawada corridor, a crucial Grand Trunk route connecting North and South India, has been rapidly upgraded with multi-tracking and electrification at a cost of ₹1,243 crores. Further strengthening connectivity, the 21 km Kazipet Rail Under Rail Bypass, built at a cost of ₹292 crores, will streamline train movement across three major directions — Secunderabad, Balharshah, and Vijayawada — improving freight and passenger mobility. Aligned with the Modi Government’s vision of modern, high-capacity rail infrastructure, these projects will improve logistics efficiency, accelerate regional development, and enhance seamless connectivity across the country.
