I feel terrible for some of these Uber drivers. This is why you can't get an Uber in hood. You get people that act like this and put this Uber driver though all this stress and drama. Credit to this Uber driver for not backing down. No surprise that immediately the threat of harm or car jacking comes into play. But the Uber driver was sharp enough to remind him that all of his personal information has already been shared with Uber when he opened his account. Getting that info to the police would be a snap. Sure mad the thug think twice about doing anything.

Two ladies call an Uber to pick them up for a ride. As they get settled in to the Uber, they ask the driver to turn the air conditioner on. The driver refuses and tells the women that if they had wanted A/C then they should have paid for an Uber comfort. The women continue to argue with the driver telling him all cars have an A/C and they are simply asking for him to turn it on. He still refuses and said that he does not use the A/C on regular standard fares because it burns his gas faster. *side note: This is NOT Uber’s policy, just the man being cheap. According to Uber, A/C is required on every ride. Would you ask to get out of the car immediately or would you complete your ride? Would you contact Uber to report this driver or just give him a bad rating?

Middle of the night, bunch of kids at the 7-Eleven thinking the rules don't apply to them. ChatGPT Work got me $95.46 in Uber Cash after two back-to-back cancelled Uber Eats orders Both were cancelled ~45 minutes after I placed them. I was refunded again, but still received no compensation. This story is CRAZY 🥴 who side you on? I’m on the driver’s side & the fact that he got FIRED is crazy 🙄🙄🙄🙄 poor Abraham . Her suing is crazy because this man was actually nice . Majority of other uber/lyft drivers would’ve canceled and just drove off with no explanation , but he tried to tell her . The only reason she may win this lawsuit is because she said “so every big person you turn down cause they can’t fit in your car ? ” & he said “yes , they need to order an Uber XL” & TECHNICALLY , that’s discrimination against “big people” . (I gave yall the definition of discrimination in the video) but yea She should’ve just order another car or an Uber XL. Road rage to the extreme! This Uber driver was trying to take his passengers to their destination when another car cuts in front of him and the driver of that car gets out of the car threatening the Uber driver. He approached the door trying to open it yelling for the Uber driver to get out of his car. The Uber driver and his passengers quickly flee by backing up and turning around but the raging man does not give up and begins to chase them through the neighborhood causing them to run red lights to get away. The female passengers quickly get on the phone with the police and help guide the officers to their location. The police were able to catch the guy as he did try to run once he saw police were involved. Based on the streets and landmarks I believe this is in the Northport (East Northport), Long Island, New York area. Good teamwork and quick thinking helped them escape what could have been a very dangerous situation.

I can’t say the same for taxi/uber drivers or distracted Range Rover moms. Autonomous cars are a #VisionZero dream for city DOTs who love putting up signs, but are slow to build real safe street infrastructure. I don’t often use cars, but when I do, I want it to be the safest car on the road, which is why I choose cruise.

The CEO of Uber just dodged (some might say lied) to Bret Baier. He said that the price differences people experience are purely about supply and demand getting safe drivers etc. This is simply not true. If I open the app and my wife or daughter open the app — from the same location at the exact same time going to the exact same destination — we will get different price quotes based on the algorithm’s guess about ability/willingness to pay. This “bespoke” pricing has its defenders — I am not one — but Uber shouldn’t pretend it’s not doing what it absolutely is doing: charging people more for the same product if they think they can get away with it, and then pretending it’s about mere supply and demand or safety. It’s not.

She ordered food and a coffee through Uber. When the driver arrived, security cameras captured him cleaning a spill from the coffee lid by licking it. He then blew his nose into a napkin and used that same napkin to wipe the lid, just seconds before handing it to her. Security stopped her from drinking it before it was too late. I have video of the incident and photos of the driver. I thought it was important for people to be aware that their food may not always be safe, especially when it isn’t in a sealed bag. Jared Moskowitz’s message for Elon Musk: I think the time for staying in safe spaces is over. Twitter—or X—is a safe space for him. You’ve got to get out of your safe spaces. Go talk to the American people—not just on Fox, not just next to the president, and not just on X. Come to Congress and talk to the American people. He’s not afraid to do it—or at least, I don’t think he is. But if he really believes he’s right, if he really thinks he has the winning argument, then he should come here, mix it up with Democrats, and embarrass us with his information—if that’s what he thinks he can do. Come do that.

100 Black men of Baton Rouge inducted 2 white elected officials this year, one is up for reelection against a Black man. Does that make them 98 Black men this year? I have a simple question for the community. Is it appropriate for a Black organization to admit a sitting white district attorney in the same year he’s being challenged by a Black member of that organization? If the DA has served 18 years without joining, why now did he join now? Does the timing matter? When we ask ourselves why it’s so hard for Black people to win parish-wide and statewide elections in Louisiana, I simply challenge you to look at the actions taking place in front of you today. We’ve lost too much as a people in the last few years for me not to get the business clear early. Some of us really believe in us. Play time is over.
