Even if your wife earns ₦500k a month and you earn ₦100k, none of the responsibilities of the house is meant for her to take. It is still within that your ₦100k that you will feed them, cloth them, pay school fees & rent. Unless if out of her magnanimity she decides to support with anything, it is not her responsibilities. This woman is being roasted for the idea that if she’s asked out on a date, that it’s the man’s job to pay for her food. If he asks her out for drinks and she goes, is he automatically responsible for feeding her as well? Is it the idea of spending her own money that she’s opposed to? Even if he just wants drinks and conversation, would it be that bad for her to pay for a snack, she could even extend it further by offering to buy him something to eat too, that would make for a good impression. So if you are out for drinks, are you going to starve if the other person doesn’t buy it for you or are you secure enough to get something for yourself?

People who have a “proper” job or are paid via PAYE may not know this but in my view HMRC are running a protection racket against the self employed, co. Directors and Landlords. We have to pay our tax UP FRONT before we have even earned any money based on an estimate. And THEY earn interest on OUR money and what’s worse, if you pay this estimated amount that you haven’t even earned yet slightly late they then stat charging you interest on it. It’s a total scam!!
