40 years ago today…

This really puts into perspective just how shit live music is today .

Best performance a live aid by a million miles...

It can’t be 40 years ago; I remember it and that would make me old as fuck 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Circa 72k people inside that stadium that day and Freddie Mercury had each and every one of them in the palm of his hand. An absolutely masterclass of a live performance. No band has come close to matching this as far as live performances go IMO.

So emotional watching this, thinking of how good we had in those days and the horror of what the world has turned into.

Watched it for, like, the 100th time last night and it’s still as fresh now as it was then. Amazing performance.

To think Bob wasn't keen on them performing cos they weren't cool enough. He mentions it in the recent bbc programme about Live Aid. It was an amazing performance & they ended up getting a new generation of fans.
