Solid solid solid. No stride drills are a staple imo. "From the core don't want them to use momentum"

LB Long Stride-Short Side Drill - The drill builds upon a box angle tackle progression but incorporates a long stride and short stride aspect to it. - Coaches should deepen the depth between the linebacker and the ball carrier for this specific drill. - Players usually utilize crossover footwork to run and close the distance to the ball carrier. - Players must use a long stride to close space, and then transition to a short stride to throttle their feet, widen their base, and get under control. - A critical coaching point is to keep the inside foot up rather than back, which prevents the ball carrier from cutting back and breaking the cup. - Coaches can incorporate a drop progression element into the drill, acting as the quarterback to get the linebacker set up before they come out of their break. 🚨Crowther Drill🚨 1. Crowther is the best to use for post players on double teams. We want to make sure our 2nd step is getting vertical through the defenders crotch. Near foot/shoulder with 2nd step lifting through our shoulder🔥🔥🔥

THE DRILL THAT GETS HATE… BUT IT’S NEVER FAILED. I was taught this drill many years ago by Epstein Hitting, and I still use it today for one reason: it works. Sit down. No stride. No drift. No extra movement. Now learn to unwind from that position and let your body organize itself to get the barrel through the ball. When you take away the movement, there’s nowhere to hide. You learn how to create quickness and power without momentum. Then we add the movement back in. The result? A quicker barrel, more efficient turn, and ultimately more exit velocity. Sometimes the best way to improve movement is to take the movement away first. They’ll hate the drill. They’ll love what it does to their swing. 💥
