Rian chances go up on Sunday. Scattered rain & storms will be on and off through the day... Not 100% coverage all day. There will be dry hours. Rain chances climb more late Sunday through Monday morning as a cold front comes in. Heavy rain & gusty winds with some of the storms.

After the chance of scattered storms Friday afternoon and evening, Friday night looks quiet in NTX. By early Saturday, another round of showers and storms will roll in. The severe risk with this looks very low. Saturday morning will have scattered rain, some heavy at times.

Here is a simulated radar loop to get a better idea of timing of storms and strong outflow winds this evening. Look for winds to increase by 7-8 pm in the Phoenix Metro. Gusty winds up to 30-35 mph will be possible along with blowing dust (locally dense). #azwx

3:30PM: Watching developing storms well south of the metroplex. This area will have the highest chance of heavy rain, small hail and gusty winds over the next several hours. I'm not excluding the metroplex from the rain chance, it's just much better the farther south you go.
