This is what schools in Gaza once looked like, before the genocide. Schoolyards were once filled with the voices of children, with laughter, dreams, and small backpacks carrying their hopes for the future. Today, many of these little ones are no longer with us. They were killed, perhaps alongside their entire families, leaving their seats empty forever. As for these schools, many of them no longer exist at all. In Gaza, it was not only schools that were destroyed, but an entire childhood, the dreams of thousands of children, and a future they had every right to live. How heartbreaking it is that school itself has become a stolen dream for a child in Gaza today.

Imran Al-Tawil, a five-year-old boy, stood under a small tree he had planted with his tiny hands, dreaming it would grow with him and shelter him beneath its branches. Being a dad is a role and a responsibility, not an occupation in the conventional sense. Being an Army veteran is a status from previous service - it is not his current job. Being a prince is a hereditary position, not a profession. Being a duke is a title, not an occupation. And “Prince of England” is not even his official title. He is Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. He could have said he works in philanthropy, media and various projects. That would have sounded like an ordinary person with an ordinary occupation. Instead, he listed the things he believes make him important. He was not answering the question. He was reminding everyone who he thinks he is. Which brings us neatly to Meghan’s “I am a Sussex now.” Of course you are, Meghan. 😂 They have made the title their entire personality. Not what they do. Not what they have achieved. Not what they contribute. Prince. Duke. Sussex. Without the royal connection, they do not seem quite sure what is supposed to make them important. Yesterday, our colleague and DD Geopolitics correspondent Chris was told that the US government has placed him on the FBI's no-fly list while trying to board a flight in Beijing. He is an American citizen. He received no warning, no charge, and no reason. He found out only when the airline refused to issue his boarding pass after eight hours of waiting, stranding him abroad. As an American, he is now barred from flying to, from, or even over his own country. His "offense" is journalism. Chris was traveling to cover Iran's national team at the World Cup. In recent months he reported on the ground from Minab in southern Iran and from the site of the Starobelsk strike in the Donbass, where a dormitory full of teenagers was killed. His work documents the human cost of the wars Washington funds and fights: the children who never make the press releases. For that, an American citizen has been placed on a terrorism watchlist with no due process and no explanation. This is not a small thing. But many had to turn back north: some found their homes destroyed, while others couldn’t even reach their villages, which are still under Israeli occupation. The army has not withdrawn from the areas it invaded during the war and is not required to do so under the terms of the truce. One man told us he didn’t even have time to take a picture of his destroyed home, as ongoing Israeli shelling forced him to leave quickly - after a 10-hour journey.
