Fun fact: this was originally filmed as a big production number that spilled out into the street where they were joined by a crowd of extras. Afterwards, Burnett pointed out that it seemed weird for all those people to be celebrating a plot to kidnap a child, so it was reshot.

Where is “we got Annie” that’s the one!!!

There are a fair number of missteps taken by the film adaptation but the casting of these 3 was not one of them

Not this scene, but I say, "Punjab, buy out the eight o'clock show!" to myself anytime I buy something pricey online.

I haven't watched this in years, I'm just now realizing that's Tim Curry and Bernadette Peters

And you know what’s crazy, now that I’m older and I’m a drag race fan, I understand how they were some heavyweights in the entertainment industry and I had no idea when I was a kid. RuPaul does a really good job at educating people on Hollywood and these golden moments of the film industry. I just really loved this movie as a kid lol I’m so glad that I learned to appreciate these films from a young age.

Not me singing along and doing the choreography rn lmao I used to watch this over and over when I was a kid.

I really think Carol Burnett deserved an Oscar nomination for this role.

The fact that Carol Burnett didn't even get an Oscar nomination is to the Academy's eternal shame. One of Oscar history's greatest snubs.

Just another tweet of me saying “this is the best movie musical number in the history of cinema.” 10/10 no notes
