A YouTuber (AMP GameDev) has gotten Half-Life: Alyx running standalone on Meta Quest 3!… albeit very poorly, but still a huge step forward. This does not show what HLA’s only capabilities are with standalone play, as ports are designed entirely with caveats at play to get the game working as best as possible, and this footage is of the version built and intended primarily for PC wired play with lots done to get it running at all so it’s bound to look like this in this instance, but Valve making a Steam Frame standalone port of Alyx that looks good is still very possible, as crazy as it sounds!
