Serhii Plokhy: Russia gets away with the history, territory, and crimes of empire because it was a land empire. Empire is still imagined as western. But you do not become the world’s largest country by being a nation state. You get that territory only by being an empire. 1/

🇦🇺 YOU CAN NOW WALK THROUGH A REAL-LIFE LIGHT PORTAL Imagine if Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon cover came to life and swallowed you whole. Lachlan Turczan just made that happen. His new piece, Lucida, is like stepping into a Stargate, getting hugged by a rainbow, and time-traveling through a laser dream, all at once. It’s not just some artsy light show. It’s a portal made of light, sound, and water that makes museums feel prehistoric. Lucida doesn’t hang on a wall; it devours the room. Source: Kloo

Spiritual Sensitivity | Amanda Grace Living in constant dysfunction doesn’t just drain you physically or emotionally… it affects you spiritually too. When you’re spiritually sensitive, you don’t just see chaos, you absorb it. The tension. The negativity. The instability. It all starts to feel like it’s a part of you. But here’s the shift: Not everything you feel belongs to you. The antidote for this is not about becoming cold or numb. It’s about becoming aware and self-discipline. Ask yourself: “Is this mine… or did I pick it up from my environment?” Pause. Take a small moment of silence. Breathe. Take every thought captive. Reset. Hold fast to what is good. Let go of what is not. You can be deeply sensitive and still be grounded. You can feel everything and learn not to carry all of it. The sensitivity isn’t the problem; it just needs healthy boundaries.

Fran Brown says every coach preaches “family”… but most don’t live it. You don’t become a family by saying it - you become one by going through it together. For him, it’s not a slogan. It’s earned. ⬇️

"I reject the idea of gender identity." Biologist, Dr. Heather Heying shared that this is one of her foundational beliefs on a recent episode of The Evolutionary Lens on DarkHorse. She goes on to explain, "the idea that you feel like a man or feel like a woman is a fabrication. You just are a man or a woman, or if you have not yet gone through puberty, a boy or a girl. And all boys who go through puberty become men and all girls who go through puberty become women."

The American Dream does not need a makeover. It has worked for 250 years because America is still the place where, no matter who you are or where you came from, you have a real shot at building a better life. Every administration has a responsibility to protect that opportunity. The American Dream is not just part of this country, it is one of its greatest exports.

This is the part of history they don’t talk about. In 1806, Thomas Jefferson goes to Congress and says: it’s time to end the slave trade. I walk you through what actually happened—how Jefferson pushed for a ban on the importation of slaves, how Congress responded, and how, by March 2, 1807, a law was passed prohibiting it. Then, on January 1, 1808, it became official: the international slave trade was banned in the United States. This wasn’t accidental. It was driven, in part, by Jefferson’s efforts and grounded in the framework of the Constitution. Yet today, this critical piece of history is often ignored or left out entirely. If you want to understand the full story—not a selective version—this is where you start. Watch the entire episode: Rumble: YouTube:

“Zionism has no history in the Christian faith. It’s not a question of denomination. You can search through 18 and 1/2 centuries of church history and you will never hear of such things.”

STEPHEN A. SMITH: “Are you ready for this? I consider weed a performance-enhancing drug.” PANEL: “Really?! How?” SMITH: “Let me explain why. If you go out into the streets of America... you got some cats on the street, these some bad motherf*ckers, they can really, really ball. They can play.” PANEL: “Right.” SMITH: “There’s two things they’re lacking that the professionals don’t. The level of discipline, night-in, night-out basis, committing yourself to whatever, and nerves. You could be a badass player, but in moments you get fidgety.” PANEL: “Yeah." SMITH: “Weed helps subside that. Calms the nerves. No, those nerves are a part of it!” PANEL: “Yeah.” SMITH: “It ain’t just your athletic ability, it’s your poise under pressure. It’s your nerves. For example, to bring it to the ladies, Naomi Osaka (tennis player), when she had her mental health issues... As much as I’m a fan of yours and I feel sorry that you’re going through this, as a sports fan, not so much, because that’s part of the competition." "When you going into a visiting territory. If you go into a match and the crowd favors somebody over you, booing you, that’s a part of it. Heckling you, that’s a part of it. Trying to test your nerves and get you riled up, that’s a part of it. So to me, if you are using a drug that allows you to calm your nerves. And it elevates your poise, that’s a performance enhancer. Because you are immune to the pressure." “It’s game seven, Tori. And you gotta go to the free throw line, Sumatra. And it’s two seconds left, you gotta make both to tie the game. You miss one, it’s a wrap! You gotta make them. That’s nerves! I’ve seen the greatest walk up in pressure moments and fold in any sport. We’ve seen it. So if weed is something that helps that, that’s a performance enhancer. It should not be allowed!”

I strongly advise everyone aspiring to become actors and actresses—and those of you already in the business—to educate yourselves about the history of the stage you are stepping onto, both in Nigeria and beyond. You cannot just grab a microphone, wear costume, shout “Action!” and suddenly become a veteran. 😂 Here’s a brief look at the life of Chief A. Ogunde—a teacher, playwright, actor, director, producer, musician, activist, and so much more. Before you mount the stage, please learn about those who built it. History is not just for exams; sometimes, it is the script you need to understand the role you are playing today. 🎭

Imagine your mind in a chaotic whirlwind, and your emotions feeling like a rollercoaster ride. But as you start meditation, slowly you feel a transformation - thoughts finding their equilibrium, and the heart settling into a serene rhythm. It’s like tuning into a frequency of calmness and centeredness. This state, as said by Daaji, is the AEIOU of meditation. Once we’ve embraced this tranquil state, it’s not just about feeling it; it’s about imbibing it. We let every fiber of our being soak up this newfound peace, savoring its exquisite essence. It’s a bit like stepping into a dream, except it’s very real, guiding us through our spiritual journey! Join us for the second batch of #HeartfulnessBhandara:

Shifa. Opportunities like this don’t often. Bollywood isn’t just some film industry, it’s one of the biggest markets in the world. Billions of people watch it. Maldives is 0.5 million. If you want global recognition, you go there. Even a couple of years in Bollywood gives you exposure that could push you to Hollywood. It’s not just about you. You’d be the first Maldivian actor to break out internationally. You’d put our entire industry on the map. You’d put Maldives on the map. You can become Maldivian global ambassador. You’d be the bridge, the example, the inspiration. This is bigger than one movie. It’s legacy. It’s history. It’s a chance to change your life and to change how the world sees Maldivian talent. You have the shot. Don’t waste it. You’re a great actor.

When you walk through a storm Hold your chin up high And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of a storm Is a golden sky And the sweet, silver song of a lark… Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone…
