A focused look at the quadriceps - the muscle group that powers extension, absorbs impact, and shapes the movement of the lower limb - brought to life in our latest 3D animation. Can you name all four heads of the quadriceps muscle?

Behind-the-scenes of #Scarlet - 3D Animation 🖥️ Have you seen Scarlet in theaters yet? In the film's CG animation, movement was carefully restrained to complement hand-drawn animation style. Nuanced emotions were brought to life with subtle movement in the eyes and brows.

A close-up look at how the patella glides through the femoral groove during knee flexion and extension, acting as a fulcrum to give the quadriceps maximum mechanical advantage. Captured inside our app, Knee Biomechanics with Dr. Bertram Zarins. #anatomystandard #kneeanatomy

A Tesseract is the 4D extension of a cube, just as a cube is the 3D extension of a square. While we live in a three dimensional world, mathematics allows us to describe shapes that exist in higher dimensions.

Advanced chest muscle flex showcase I 3D modeled the chest in a flexed state, and then added a smoothing animation that turns off and on based on the shoulders position. Proof of concept only, not included in my standard muscle commission services. #b3d #vrchat

Young pitchers can easily assume the path to more velocity is to muscle up—throw harder, spin faster, and force the delivery. That might make the radar-gun number jump, but it doesn’t always make the pitch look faster to the hitter. For young pitchers and the coaches guiding them, the better long-term investment is learning the movement principles that shape the delivery: balance, stride length, direction, and extension. When a pitcher moves efficiently down the mound and releases the ball closer to home plate, the hitter has less time to react—and the pitch can play faster than its measured velocity. That’s why extension matters. Pulling your head away from the target can pull the body out of line, move the release point back, and take away some of that advantage. For every inch your head pulls off, you lose 2 inches of extension. The goal is to stay balanced, move down the target line, and let efficient sequencing deliver the ball out front.

Every exercise you'll ever need falls into just 4 movement patterns. Master these, and you can build and maintain every muscle group in your body for the rest of your life. Push. Pull. Hinge. Squat. After 17 years training these are the best exercises for each: = Thread =

The Bro Split that every young lad gets sold on looks like this.⠀ ⠀ Monday: Chest⠀ Tuesday: Back⠀ Wednesday: Rest⠀ Thursday: Legs⠀ Friday: Shoulders⠀ Saturday: Arms⠀ Sunday: Rest⠀ ⠀ And yes, Arnold did it. Arnold also took enough drugs to sedate a medium-sized country, so perhaps not the most transferable template.⠀ ⠀ The problem is simple. Each muscle here gets hit once a week. Train hard enough and you'll trigger a window of muscle protein synthesis that runs for roughly 2-3 days. After that the window closes, and the muscle fibres begin to catabolise slowly. The back half of the week isn't neutral. It's quietly eroding the growth stimulus you picked up on Monday.⠀ ⠀ Once a week is not a holding pattern. It's a losing one.⠀ ⠀ The fix is training each muscle at least twice. An upper/lower split does this cleanly.⠀ ⠀ Monday: Upper⠀ Tuesday: Lower⠀ Wednesday: Rest⠀ Thursday: Upper⠀ Friday: Rest⠀ Saturday: Lower⠀ Sunday: Rest⠀ ⠀ Same days in the gym. Every muscle getting two shots at the growth window per week instead of one.⠀ ⠀ If there's a specific muscle you want to bring up faster, glutes being the obvious example, you can push that to three times a week with a full body approach, hitting the priority muscle first in every session when you're freshest.⠀ ⠀ Monday: Full Body (glutes first)⠀ Wednesday: Full Body (glutes first)⠀ Friday: Full Body (glutes first)⠀ ⠀ More frequent stimulus. More growth windows captured. Less of the week spent sliding backwards.⠀ ⠀ The Bro Split isn't useless. It just isn't optimal. And if you're going to spend the time, you may as well spend it on something that actually works.⠀ ⠀ Minimum twice a week per muscle. Three if you're serious about a lagging group. The rest is just detail.
