Delhi CM Rekha Gupta today inaugurated a new STEM Innovation Lab at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Pitampura. Equipped with modern learning tools, the state-of-the-art facility will provide students with opportunities for hands-on learning, creative thinking and innovation. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that every child in Delhi should have the opportunity to dream big and access modern avenues to realise those aspirations. She reaffirmed the Delhi Government’s commitment to expanding world-class educational infrastructure in government schools so that every student is equipped to meet the opportunities and challenges of the future. One of our major operation is the designing and setting up of Makerspaces, STEM and Robotics labs and the supply of equipment for the same. Over the years we have set up about 20 labs and counting across various regions in Ghana for both private and public institutions. As software and digital literacy is on the rise in Ghana we owe it to the economy to also contribute to hardware technology creation and knowledge acquisition of the same. *Our commitment to contribute to this is seen in our model labs and our locally designed and manufactured education technologies and STEM products* We believe that these labs and makerspace are a critical infrastructure for the advancement of tech and robotics knowledge acquisition and adoption of the same in Ghana. Today marks a transformative milestone in Zimbabwe’s education journey. I am pleased to announce that the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, in partnership with UNICEF Zimbabwe, is launching the One Laptop, One iPad Per Pupil initiative an ambitious, nationwide programme aimed at bridging the digital divide and empowering every learner with the tools of the 21st century. As part of this initiative, I had the honour of presiding over the official handover of a major consignment of ICT devices, including laptops, projectors, and tablets. These resources are specifically targeted at disadvantaged and solar-powered schools across the country. They will support digital teaching and learning, ensuring that no child is left behind in our pursuit of inclusive, equitable, and quality Education. This programme is not merely about technology it is about equity, opportunity, and transformation. It is about unlocking the potential of every learner, regardless of geography or background, and ensuring that our education system is relevant, inclusive, and future-ready. We pay tribute to His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, whose visionary leadership under Vision 2030, the Presidential Computerisation Programme, and the promotion of public-private partnerships continue to drive innovation and inclusive development across all sectors, including Education. By placing a laptop and an iPad in the hands of every pupil, we are not only investing in their future we are building the digital foundations of a knowledge-based economy.
