Var clearly didn’t check it because there was nothing there. Salah trying to win a penalty by diving. He should’ve gotten a yellow card but he didn’t because he didn’t cry for a penalty because he knew Alvarez didn’t touch him

Egyptians & Ronaldo's fans are the only retarded who thinks that should have been a foul and penalty for Egypt. Every other reasonable knew that wasn't even close being a foul in Salah.

Just because it fit the Agenda, they refuse to think....how can this be a penalty

What will you say about this analysis?

There was clear holding and shirt pulling off the ball that VAR and the technical team refuse to show replay of. That is the more contentious issue that the Egyptian bench was calling for but the referee and var refused to have a second look, they won’t even show a replay of the incident.

TobyWrites 的头像

In all honestly, you watched the replays and said that should be a penalty? Should this also be a penalty?

okpia 的头像

Do you think VAR will overturn the incident in this clip if the referee calls it on-field? Regarding the incident in the Egypt game, I haven’t seen any clear replay as the match coverage didn’t show a clip. However, from what I watched live, there was an off-the-ball pull worthy of review.

TobyWrites 的头像
TobyWrites3 个月前

No my bro, my question is that, is this is a penalty or not? Secondly, please watch it again because that’s what we all thought. I would have gotten the video for you but I want you to find it genuinely and watch it. Then please watch MacAllister being pulled also in their box, tell me if that was a penalty. After that, please watch Colombia player being pulled even worse against Portugal, tell me if it was a penalty. I would love your honest opinion after watching these

From clip above, there was a clear pull on the striker’s shirt that prevented him from taking the ball into his stride. If the defender deliberately grabbed his shirt to stop him from reaching the ball, that is exactly the kind of incident I would expect VAR to at least review. I’ve seen a few clips, including analyses from independent referee reviewers, but I haven’t come across any comprehensive official replay coverage focusing on that particular challenge. Based on the footage I’ve seen, Mac Allister pulls the attacker’s shirt with the intention of preventing him from attacking the ball. Whether or not the referee ultimately awards a penalty, it seems like an incident worthy of closer examination. The Egyptian goalkeeper also stated after the match that the player’s shirt had been torn. To me, that is the real point of contention, not the Salah appeal. Personally, I don’t think the Salah incident is a penalty, so I’m puzzled that the debate has centred almost entirely on that while the Mac Allister shirt pull has received relatively little attention. To be clear, I’m not trying to fuel conspiracy theories about FIFA or Argentina. My point is much simpler: if we’re discussing the key refereeing decisions from the match, the Mac Allister shirt pull seems to be the incident that warranted the most scrutiny, yet it has largely been overshadowed by the discussion surrounding Salah.

I feel you. You’ve made good points. Do you not think VAR would have reviewed them? VAR only invites the ref if they think it should be a penalty. They definitely waived it off because it’s clearly not a penalty, I doubt you’ve seen anything independent, this whole twitter that use to be the go-to for undiluted stuff has been diluted. Lies have taken over the timeline, once you post a lie, it gains traction. The money incentive has also made people start running agenda, you see people who should be smart deliberately push lies. I’m sure you’ve seen them for yourself. Please look for the replay and watch, the Egyptian guy exaggerated it, his leg wasn’t even touched, but you need to see the way he’s stretched his leg like he was shot. Now the first video I sent to you, you said it should be a penalty. That was not given, it was against Portugal, it was just waived off, it’s even worse than whatever Egypt is appealing for. Secondly, look at the below video. MacAllister is also pulled in the box, not just that, the guy also kicks his foot, didn’t touch the ball, and the ref/VAR waived it off, rightly so. Imagine this was given to Argentina ?

I think the Portugal incident was a penalty that should have been given, and it remains just as controversial as this one. However, the Mac Allister clip you just shared isn’t a penalty for me. Even Mac Allister wasn’t protesting because he was simply trying to lean on the defender, who had every right to stand his ground and defend his box. The incident in question is different. MacAllister wasn’t attempting to play the ball while clearly pulling the player’s shirt to stop him from attacking it. That, in my view, is why it deserved a review.

You genuinely think this is a penalty, look at how the Egyptian guy throws himself on the floor, just look at his leg especially, the theatrics.... but pulling and kicking MacAllister is not a penalty Common man

To be honest, I told someone yesterday, and I will keep on saying it. sallah was the one who spoiled that match yesterday. This is not a foul at all. Let's assume it was a foul. Why not cover up quickly and come back to complain about this. He messed up big time.

Every Non EPL fan hates Salah cus he has gotten penalties for Liverpool and they called him a diver, i wonder how this incident becomes a penalty to them, when they’ve always criticized him for going down for even harder tackles calling Liverpool PGMOL boys 😂.

Even Salah know it's not a foul and Didn't protest,we all saw what happened with Portugal and Croatia yet that was quickly forgotten and people moved on yet once it's Messi and Argentina, Ronaldo fans will push and push, they don't mind destroy the entire football game for it.

Why are you only focused on this incident only, and not on the first pull that wasn’t checked? If the goal was cancelled for Martinez being fouled then this should also be given as a foul, the inconsistency is the issue here

“A licensed referee” that is american and has never refereed an important game. How about you listen to a real referee that has been around many big games in actual relevant leagues?

Alright, you need 11 more other licensed refrees to explain the other incidents. But @tobyasky do you sincerely think that it wouldn't be checked and even called if that was Messi? Or Enzo or say even Musa in an Argentina Jersey?

that is lie it was not the momentum.. but drag from the Argentinian player caused Salah fall. Salah was clearly TRYING to turn back for the ball, if there was such a momentum he wouldn't turn. and Argentinian player realized it and dragged with his foot ..clear intentional foul!!
