The Delhi Police alleges 2873 men with criminal antecedents were present at the protest site between July 20th and July 25th. These criminals have been identified using the Facial Recognition System and through technical means. Police are investigating whether these men were involved in violence that broke out at Jantar Mantar, in and around New Delhi. These criminals are involved in heinous crimes like sexual assault, murder and crimes involving minors (POSCO). Some of these alleged criminals came back to the protest site repeatedly. These particular criminals have serious offences registered against them. Why is Kapil Sibal and CJP asking to release these people? And Kapil Sibal will spend 1cr to defend them plus asking lawyers to defend them pro bono! Rather thn disassociating themselves from these people you are supporting them. Why?

Facial recognition is taken from all of us, treating us all like criminals. Linked to digital ID it will reinforce the state control. All your digital and physical movements can be monitored. NEW: Female high school student starts chasing another student with an apparent knife at Denby High School in Detroit. A teacher was seen using a chair in an attempt to stop the student. Detroit police have since launched an investigation into the incident. "A student brought a boxcutter to school today and attempted to attack another student," the school said in a statement. "There were noinjuries associated with the incident. The student has been arrested and will not be returning to Denby or another district school."

Students are not criminals. They should never be met with violence for raising their voices. Tanushree Pandey with me confronted Delhi Police with the questions they have refused to answer. Watch their response. A uniform is not a licence to beat people. Every officer responsible for any unlawful violence against CJP protesters must be identified, investigated, and punished. No one should be above the law. Power without accountability is a licence for abuse. The police answer to the people, not the other way around.
