This version is very different than 12.3.6 and other previous versions. It’s more of a “v13 lite” than anything else. Those who have it know that it’ll stop for squirrels crossing the road. Forget UPL, it's the Devin's simple right hand turn that FSD needs to master first. I am blown away that software as good as FSD can make mistakes as simple but devastating as this. This is the second time in less than two weeks that FSD has tried to pull infront of a vehicle on a VERY SIMPLE right hand turn. The car drove pretty much flawlessly all day today (3~ hours of driving) but it ends the day with a move like this and it just takes all the confidence I have with FSD away in a simple move. I understand that the version of FSD we have today is not what will be used in Austin in June, but the fact that FSD is making decisions like this and 'full autonomy' is less than 3 months away - it's a bit concerning to me. Yesterday I drove to Cologne. Since FSD is still unavailable in Germany, I had to rely on Enhanced Autopilot (EAP) for the entire trip. Honestly, it was a disappointing experience. EAP makes frequent steering corrections, changes lanes poorly, and feels far less predictable and confidence-inspiring. On roads with unclear lane markings, it constantly wanders left and right, which doesn’t feel safe. After driving over 10,000 km with FSD, the difference is impossible to ignore. FSD drives much more naturally, stays smoother in its lane, and anticipates traffic far better. FSD needs to come to all of Europe as soon as possible. The difference in both comfort and safety is huge.

We have yet to see any official cases of V14 being applied outside of the United States and Canada. I've just completed my first FSD run for about an hour. (I've experienced about 10,000km of FSD in the U.S.) Except for the parking lot, there was never a case where I intervened during the FSD drive. LiDARs can make up for the weakness in vision-only perception”, followed by a short clip showing that LiDAR is able to recognize the obstacle (a stack of tires) in pitch dark and come to a full stop. That was his comment made before FSD rolled out in China. Pretty sure he has watched plenty of FSD videos and wonder what he has to say now.
