This Chinese vlogger is both Tesla and XPeng owner. He is an avid tester of Tesla FSD and Xpeng NGP. He points out NGP almost always comes to an abrupt halt when humans or mopeds get real close or cross intersections as evidenced in this clip, even though there is ample time to gradually slow down, making driving extremely uncomfortable. This is not an isolated case. It exists with other XPeng owners. On the other hand, the owner says FSD is very reassuring and predictable. Other systems may have a fewer takeover rates than FSD for now but he still prefers FSD because of its driving comfort, smoothness and confidence.

BREAKING: 박주민, a member of the Korean parliament, test-drive a supervised (FSD) in Seoul today with support from Tesla Korea. This information was released through a YouTube live broadcast by lawmaker Park Joo-min. This is very good news because I feel that Tesla is very interested in expanding the FSD base in Korea and is working on it. Here is a scenario he shared where FSD waited behind a car by the garage ticket dispenser and then FSD decided to back out and switched to the empty lane on the right to pick up a parking ticket before the access control arm was lifted up. Due to all the traffic complexities and driver behaviors, China is a great place to experiment with FSD and get it refined before it’s rolled out in other countries. From all the videos from China so far, it’s obvious that FSD has performed a lot better than people thought.

Chris Dirty Tesla showed an example of FSD V12 not responding to a ball being thrown in front of it. However, he didn’t test with FSD v12.6.4 and he admitted that in the comments. This version is very different than 12.3.6 and other previous versions. It’s more of a “v13 lite” than anything else. Those who have it know that it’ll stop for squirrels crossing the road. Here are some tests I did with a similar ball using FSD v12.6.4.

After two weeks of experiencing Tesla’s FSD V14.3 in the United States, I came back with two impressions: First, Tesla’s FSD is truly exceptionally strong. Second, the competitive pressure it represents is immense.”

Both local consumers and Western media figures have been misled by its performance in specially tuned scenarios. And this is also why many local automakers are doing everything they can to block FSD from entering China. This Chinese tester puts 3 intelligent driving systems to the test in a construction zone: Huawei ADS, LI AD Max and Tesla FSD, all of which are installed with the currently available software versions in China. FSD is the only one that successfully navigates the zone without any issue. Both ADS and AD Max give up either because it can’t perceive the environment properly or lack of navigation map data. Forget UPL, it's the Devin's simple right hand turn that FSD needs to master first. I am blown away that software as good as FSD can make mistakes as simple but devastating as this. This is the second time in less than two weeks that FSD has tried to pull infront of a vehicle on a VERY SIMPLE right hand turn. The car drove pretty much flawlessly all day today (3~ hours of driving) but it ends the day with a move like this and it just takes all the confidence I have with FSD away in a simple move. I understand that the version of FSD we have today is not what will be used in Austin in June, but the fact that FSD is making decisions like this and 'full autonomy' is less than 3 months away - it's a bit concerning to me. I would feel a bit better if a near flawless version of FSD existed 'in the wild' for several months before Austin happens, but that's just me. Tesla Model 3 HW4 FSD 13.2.8 Tesla AI Ashok Elluswamy

He added that Li Auto’s autonomous driving team is aiming to reach that level. The interviewer, an industry insider, offered an even more blunt assessment of FSD compared with competing systems in China: “We’ve consistently acknowledged Tesla FSD as the benchmark. What I do want to criticize is the constant claim from some people that they’ve already surpassed Tesla, when in reality the gap is still enormous. The only reason they dare say that is because Tesla FSD hasn’t fully entered the Chinese market yet. Once it truly rolls out, they’ll be completely exposed. It’ll be like ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ being stripped away in public.”

Yesterday I drove to Cologne. Since FSD is still unavailable in Germany, I had to rely on Enhanced Autopilot (EAP) for the entire trip. Honestly, it was a disappointing experience. EAP makes frequent steering corrections, changes lanes poorly, and feels far less predictable and confidence-inspiring. On roads with unclear lane markings, it constantly wanders left and right, which doesn’t feel safe. After driving over 10,000 km with FSD, the difference is impossible to ignore. FSD drives much more naturally, stays smoother in its lane, and anticipates traffic far better. FSD needs to come to all of Europe as soon as possible. The difference in both comfort and safety is huge.

$TSLA 🇰🇷 BREAKING : I just experienced FSD (Supervised) for the first time in Korea. The vehicle is Model X and the FSD version is *V14.1.4. We have yet to see any official cases of V14 being applied outside of the United States and Canada. I've just completed my first FSD run for about an hour. (I've experienced about 10,000km of FSD in the U.S.) Except for the parking lot, there was never a case where I intervened during the FSD drive. The first impression of the FSD that works in Korea is that it is very amazing and a great achievement of the Tesla AI team. Although there was one case where I went off the road without following the navigation, the FSD thought to itself and drove on the right path. The overall experience in Korea was very good, such as turning left, turning right, U turn, joining lanes, and changing lanes. It's kind of like... an American driver driving in Korea on an international driver's license. If more data is generated in the future and the number of users increases, higher achievement of FSD in Korea is very much expected. I can't wait for more people to experience FSD in Korea! (Tesla Korea is a HW4 vehicle that purchased FSD and will update the FSD (Supervised) in the future for vehicles suitable for VIN number 5or7.

In his first attempt 13 months ago, he had something like 21 disengagements, and various system failures, GPS errors, and red hands of death. This time? The latest FSD version (14.2.2.3) was a "total game changer." "We went from a dozen disengagements and technical issues to zero in one software update. It's incredible. And it's incredible to me that anyone who's been in a Tesla has not used the latest version of FSD."

LiDARs can make up for the weakness in vision-only perception”, followed by a short clip showing that LiDAR is able to recognize the obstacle (a stack of tires) in pitch dark and come to a full stop. That was his comment made before FSD rolled out in China. Pretty sure he has watched plenty of FSD videos and wonder what he has to say now.
