If I ate 5g of Shrooms , I'd be out of this world. I think I can do 3 grams and have the full experience. That was long to ago. I did get the effect like my brain was a hard drive that'd just been defragged.

Psilocybin is also being studied as a "cluster buster" for cluster headaches.

I have taken those shrooms before when I was a very young adult of 20 years old. Actually, it was a very pleasant experience. I still remember how it was even at my age of 70 now.

I’ve heard other stories of how psilocybin has helped people with other symptoms such as PTSD. I have a feeling this is going to help a lot of people with Alzheimer’s.

This could be huge for so many elderly and their families. How many wouldn’t love for this to work, and have their parent they thought was lost to Alzheimer’s, virtually nonverbal, come back to them and remember. It reminds me of an old Robin Williams movie, Awakenings.

This is an interesting story for sure, but I will point out that 5 grams of psilocybin is what Terence McKenna called an "heroic dose". I am pretty sure that I would not want to babysit an Alzheimer's patient through that trip. God bless someone who can do that.

A few years ago I was blessed to find an ounce of dried mushrooms. I took a pinch every other day and within a week my lifelong depression lifted completely. Thankfully, the ounce lasted a couple of months. While the depression has slowly returned it's not a severe as before.

5g? 😳 No way. I ate 7g of shrooms once (they weren't usually that potent) and ended up in the hospital from a pulmonary embolism after squatting in the same position for endless hours thinking I had died & was in the afterlife which was nothing but a clear bubble.

So where do you get? Should be available OTC. Or your friendly neighborhood cow pasture.

I certainly hope that this study garners more attention to the therapeutic effects of psilocybin. This is the first I’ve heard of it helping these issues. I’ve heard a lot about it helping PTSD and depression. RFK Junior talks about it on Joe Rogan.

That's not possible. I've seen an Alzheimer patient's brain post mortum. It's just a bunch of plaque and holes. Stop spreading false information.
