@NeptunesPirates @MeganMcCubbin @domdyer70 @ChrisGPackham Gut-wrenching to see this still happening. I'm with you, we need to make some serious noise to get it stopped.

@NeptunesPirates @MeganMcCubbin @domdyer70 @ChrisGPackham UK could start by banning all its own "Blood Sports" first??

@NeptunesPirates @MeganMcCubbin @domdyer70 @ChrisGPackham And we're supposed to believe that Bakkafrost actually care about the welfare of the millions of salmon they keep in cages in Scottish waters!

@2021Telmo @NeptunesPirates @MeganMcCubbin @domdyer70 @ChrisGPackham It’s hideous isn’t it, as is way the Japanese treat whales and dolphins in Taiji.

@NeptunesPirates @MeganMcCubbin @domdyer70 @ChrisGPackham A small island nation cultivating the resources that surround it. Yes it looks awful but is killing a dolphin for food any more disgusting than killing a cow or a sheep?

CAPTAIN PAUL WATSON TO RETURN THIS YEAR TO THE SOUTHERN OCEAN TO STOP THE RETURN OF THE JAPANESE WHALING FLEET Japan has declared war on the whales of the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary. The have completed the construction of the 9, 300 ton, 112 meters long factory ship Kangei Maru. There is only one purpose for such a huge fast long range whaling processing ship and that is to hunt and kill whales in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary. The Captain Paul Watson Foundation and Neptune’s Pirates have secured a fast long range ship that can allow us to aggressively intervene. Captain Watson will lead the campaign with a courageous crew of veteran Southern Ocean anti-whaling activists. “The Japanese whalers are planning to target endangered Fin whales. We intend to stop them,” says Captain Watson. In an absurd statement Kyodo Senpaku President Hideki Tokoro told a press conference in the western port city of Shimonoseki. “It’s important to protect marine resources, and we are the ones responsible for that, I believe that continuing (whaling) will benefit both Japan and the world.” Protecting whales by killing whales is illogical. It is also illegal. There is a global moratorium on commercial whaling, Fin whales are endangered, and it is unlawful to kill whales in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary. It’s been ten years since Captain Watson confronted the Japanese whalers in the waters of Antarctica. He and his crew are ready for the challenge. Your support is crucial for this mission. Never have Japan’s future intentions been more obvious than now. Last year saw the launch of the ‘Kangei Maru’ the new US$47 million dollar whale factory ship built for long range voyages. Currentlytwo Japanese harpoon vessels (‘Yushin Maru #2’ & ‘Yushin Maru #3’) operated by Kyodo Senpaku are on a research voyage in Antarctica. They are due south of Australia within 30 miles of the Australian Antarctic Territories coastline. As if the presence of two whale killing vessels in Antarctica was not a clear enough sign, the Tokyo University of Marine Science & Technology (TUMSAT) have also sent their huge oceanographic research vessel, the ‘Umitaka Maru’ to the exact same location in Antarctica. TUMSAT contributes data on whale populations, ecosystems and marine resource modelling to the ICR. TUMSAT’s research is often cited by Japan to justify its whaling activities as being scientifically grounded and aligned with sustainable practices. However, critics argue that such research is used to prioritize national interests over conservation efforts. TUMSAT have also had their personnel onboard the whaling vessels providing them with expertise and resources during such programs as the JARPN II (Japanese Whale Research Program North Pacific). It is unsure when Japan may decide to send the Kangei Maru and its killer harpoon ships to the Southern Ocean, but should they decide to attempt whaling in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary the Captain Paul Watson Foundation will be there ready to confront them. The former Japanese Coastguard patrol ship was purchased in secrecy and renamed ‘Bandero’. The vessel is being prepared in Australia and will be ready for action, should the need arise.

This morning, Captain Paul Watson was arrested in Nuuk, Greenland by Danish federal police, who boarded the M/Y John Paul DeJoria as soon as it docked. The crew had stopped to refuel while en route to the Northwest Passage as part of #OpKangeiMaru, our campaign aimed at intercepting Japan’s newly-built factory ship, the Kangei Maru, in the North Pacific. It is believed that this arrest is connected to a previous Red Notice issued for Watson’s anti-whaling activities in the Antarctic. This development comes as a surprise since the Foundation’s lawyers had reported that the Red Notice had been withdrawn. However, it appears that Japan had made the notice confidential to facilitate Paul’s travel for the purpose of making an arrest. Although Japan has operated in violation of the ICJ ruling for several years, they ceased Antarctic high-seas whaling in 2016 and now only hunt whales within their territorial waters. CPWF suspects that Japan intends to resume high-seas whaling in the Southern Ocean and North Pacific by 2025, and believes the reactivation of the Red Notice against Captain Watson is politically motivated, coinciding with the launch of the new factory ship. Paul is currently in custody, and it is unclear if Denmark will extradite him to Japan. We need Paul released immediately! We urge the Danish government to release Paul and reject this politically motivated request. #FREEPAULWATSON

NIGERIAN UK OPPOSITION LEADER: ‘BE GRATEFUL BRITAIN ENDED SLAVERY!’ According to the UK’s newly-elected opposition leader, we should be grateful that Britain ended slavery - and should stop moaning about the past. Remarkably, Kemi Badenoch is also of Nigerian descent. In this clip, she goes as far as to allege that those seeking reparations are simply being manipulative. OK, let’s just ignore the fact that the UK gave itself a 400-year developmental headstart by building up its economy on the back of the barbaric exploitation of African people. Abolition-proud Britain didn’t give up its African colonies until much later, and colonialism is another form of enslavement. Zimbabwe for instance, wasn’t ‘free’ until 1980 (the year of Badenoch’s birth), but even after independence, the UK sanctioned the African nation to high heaven as soon as it tried to assert sovereignty with land reforms that would have seen territories stolen by the Brits returned to Africans. After colonialism, neo-colonialism: London has exploited its economic power to further control African nations and keep them impoverished - for example, though predatory lending via the IMF and World Bank (institutions it played a key role in shaping). The UK has no statute of limitations on serious crimes. Does Badenoch, who has vowed to uphold the law, really think the unspeakable suffering inflicted on Africans by the British - with negative consequences felt by millions of Black people to this day - was just a misdemeanour that can simply be brushed off? 🚨 STARMER LOOKS OUT OF HIS DEPTH — AND THE WORLD CAN SEE IT This was not leadership. This was damage control. Keir Starmer standing in front of the cameras, repeating safe lines about “national interest” while the geopolitical ground shifts beneath his feet. Let’s be honest: This is a Prime Minister reacting… not leading. • Mocked openly on the world stage • Dodging direct questions • Hiding behind generic talking points • Offering no clear strategic direction This is not how serious leaders operate during a global crisis. At a time when alliances are being tested, wars are expanding, and power blocs are shifting… Britain needs strength. Instead, we’re getting hesitation. Instead of projecting authority, Starmer sounds like an administrator trying to manage optics — not a statesman shaping outcomes. And here’s the real problem: The “special relationship” with the United States is not maintained through polite statements and careful wording. It requires: Clarity. Strength. Decisiveness. Right now, none of those are on display. While President Trump applies pressure publicly, Starmer responds defensively — not strategically. That sends a message. Not just to Washington… but to the world. Britain looks uncertain. Britain looks reactive. Britain looks weak. And in geopolitics, perception becomes reality very quickly. This is bigger than a disagreement. This is about whether the UK still has serious leadership at the top — or whether it’s being managed rather than led.
