Meeting of the Staff First, we received a report from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi on the situation across all key directions: the South, Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, as well as the Luhansk and Kharkiv regions. The report also covered our defensive actions in the directions from which Russia launched attacks on Ukrainian territory. A report by Commander of the Air Force Mykola Oleshchuk. The Staff approved a plan for further actions on strengthening our air defense system to protect people, critical infrastructure and military facilities. Additionally, Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko reported on the comprehensive protection of schools in cooperation with local authorities and communities on all security aspects in preparation for the school year. Our people are home—one of the best pieces of news that can be. Another 277 warriors have returned home from Russian captivity. The warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Special Transport Service, and the border guards. They defended Mariupol and other directions in the Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions. I thank everyone who made this return of our people possible. I am especially grateful to the United Arab Emirates for their mediation. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, 4,552 people—both warriors and civilians—have been successfully brought back home from Russian imprisonment. We remember all those who remain in captivity. We are searching for everyone who could be there. We must bring them all home. 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

Last night, our long-range sanctions targeted the occupiers’ military logistics, oil industry, and air defense. All of this is a just response to Russia’s brutal attacks against our people. I thank the warriors of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the Special Operations Forces for their successful work at a distance of about 300 kilometers from the frontline. Facilities on both sides of the Crimean Bridge were hit: maritime logistics used to transport oil in the Krasnodar region and an oil depot in temporarily occupied Kerch. In addition, military logistics facilities were successfully struck, along with four radar stations belonging to S-400 systems and two Pantsir systems. I am grateful to all our warriors for their precision and professionalism. Russia understands only strength, and our long-range strength is certainly working for peace. Glory to Ukraine!

I received briefings by Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov and NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov. General Hnatov reported on our defensive actions and Ukraine’s deep strikes over the past day – there are good results. I thank the Defense Forces, all our warriors, and the manufacturers — everyone involved in long-range strikes. We will keep building our strength. Rustem Umerov provided a detailed report on the implementation of our recent security and economic agreements in the Middle East and the Gulf region. We are making progress as planned. Separately, we are working on the strategic Drone Deal with the European Union. The day before, we discussed this in detail with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. We are developing a plan that will help strengthen Europe’s defense and cover all key security elements.
