Thank you for this, both my Mom and I have had this, mom was hospitalised pain was so extreme. My GP diagnosed mine quickly and tegratol soon had it under control. I was told could also be hereditary? Thankfully hasn’t returned 🤞

Thankyou for talking about this. I have glossopharyngeal neuralgia - no one knew what it was when I presented at A&E . I couldn’t swallow and awful electric type shocks in my throat. It took some time to get the right medication. Needs to be more clinical awareness.

This is soooo painful. One of the most painful symptoms of my MS. At first I thought I had a bad tooth.

I have MS and have suffered with TN in the past. The pain was very severe.

Thank you, very informative. And your colouring is top notch!

Suffer from 'A typical' facial pain - 1800ml of Gabapentin per day manages it. They stopped it for two hours once, with injection of lignocaine. A brief two hour break - in thirty years of chronic pain.

The most excruciating pain I have ever experienced.

The worst pain in the world. And painkillers don't work, only high doses of anticonvulsants which can give you terrible brain fog and constant tiredness. I'm lucky, in that mine is currently in remission, but could come back any time. Wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

You are wonderful! Great explanation as always! Thank you 😊 xxxxxx

A great explanation. My friend suffers with this, she has MS.
