If you actually listen & watch this, you should recognize that with a teacher/student ratio of 1:29, makes coping with students with ODD in a regular program- impossible. These Ss need specialized support & programming. Stop normalizing trauma in the classroom.

Adults can have ODD too. They often don’t receive help when offered to them.

Instead of these negative labels, how about asking the kids why they are upset? In my hypnosis practice, I have had younger clients given these labels none of them are truly applicable. Once we knew what the problem was and addressed it the negative behavior ceased.

I didn't even know ODD existed until I saw this. Can this happen with teens? What do you do if there's no diagnosis? And if there's no room for a safe space in class? I mean, you may them to another room with an adult but we know that's not always safe.
