There are multiple factors at play that will influence where Erin goes. One is over western Canada! The main uncertainty is the shape, and strength, of the Bermuda High — a large high pressure system sprawled from the Azores to near Bermuda. It dominates the Atlantic, and acts as a force field of sorts that blocks hurricanes. It’s what’s suppressing Erin south right now. In the coming days, Erin will probably arc around the western side of the Bermuda high as it curves north. That’s why the shape and strength of the Bermuda High are so important. A stronger/farther west Bermuda High would potentially shunt Erin west-southwest, bringing it closer to the Bahamas and perhaps southeastern U.S. A weaker Bermuda High would allow Erin an out-to-sea “escape route” earlier, sparing most of North America any impacts. Either way, Bermuda and the Canadian Maritimes are at the greatest risk of impacts. The shape of the Bermuda High will be influenced by two “upper-level lows,” or pockets of cold air, low pressure and spin at high altitudes. Those two disturbances will roll across North America and work to erode the western side of the Bermuda High. One will arrive Friday, and the other on Tuesday. The latter is currently located over Yukon, Canada. Because it had previously been over the Gulf of Alaska, meteorologists didn’t have the ability to release weather balloons into it. Now that it’s moving over land, more weather balloons will “sample” its structure. That data will be pumped into weather models, helping to improve simulations. Subsequently, we’ll have a much better idea of how the upper-air weather pattern over North America — and the shape of the Bermuda High and eventual track of Erin — by probably Wednesday afternoon.

Where will soon to be #Melissa go and how strong will it get? Here’s a fairly comprehensive / efficient animation to outline the possibilities. Tough forecast. We have high confidence (but not certainty) it will not hit Florida, but the Bahamas are certainly a concern. The real question is will the storm take the first jet stream dip -or- drift for days until it takes the 2nd jet dip and heads northeast. If it evacuates early and moves over Haiti/DR it may be weaker but it will dump very dangerous amounts of rain. These slow moving systems are notorious for deadly flooding there, especially due to mountain run-off. If instead it waits and moves west, it may become a major hurricane with near record water temps. Then as a possible major hurricane it would move near Jamaica, Caymans, Cuba, Bahamas and/or Turks & Caicos close to Halloween. Too early for details, but this has the potential to be on our radar, if you will, for 10 more days +! #Hurricane

Today, I heard some very moving and profound words from a Kyiv resident: «Kyiv is not about the light in the windows; it is about the light within the people.» This city is experiencing power outages and cold weather more severely than most. High-rise buildings have been transformed from cozy apartments into refrigerators, a common problem people have faced this winter. Two months of winter are behind us, and each of you has seen in great detail what's happening and how difficult it is to survive. How difficult it is to perform the simplest tasks, like cooking for yourself and your children; how heating pipes burst in apartments and hot water floods apartments and floors of multi-story buildings, filling everything with thick steam. When better times come, and they surely will - each of us will look back at these videos from our cities and remember how tough it was, and how we had to remain strong, both physically and mentally. And those bright days will be cherished by us Ukrainians more than anything.

They don't have to talk to each other, even. They know exactly what they want to do. They want to go out there, kill and make money. But the people in the Peace Industry, which are us - we are so idealistic that each one of us criticises the other Peace Person in the Peace Industry. And we are always just arguing and we are wasting our energies doing that. So let's just forgive each other and see that we are in the Peace Industry and that's all that counts. Even if you are not marching for peace, just be yourself, being a florist, being a merchant, being a talior, anything. That way you're contributing to the Peace Industry. People are just concentrating on fear, confusion and anger. And therefore just for a moment, I'd like us to think about Love. In a very magical, straight way, John and I met in London and from then on we stood for Peace and Love. And when I do this kind of event. Well it is... I was inspired to do it, but I still think that I'm still with John in spirit. John and I created the country called Nutopia. Not Utopia, because there was Utopia as a concept already. And we wanted to create a new concept, so we just added N on it - Nutopia - and as a country. Well, that is the concept of a country. And we all are citizens of that country. And in my apartment in the Dakota Building, we put a little plaque on the back door, the kitchen door. It says 'Nutopian Embassy' and even now we have that. (laughs). Nutopia exists in our minds. And because of that, some people want to rebel against it. The reason some want to rebel against it is a good proof that it exists. I think that it was a terrible thing that happened in Chechnya. But we have to still keep our hopes up. And instead of giving up, we have to keep on sending the message of Love to each other. You say that I am the Ambassador of Peace. We are all Ambassadors of Peace. You are too. Everybody in this room are Ambassadors of Peace. Just the fact that we are not participating in War. Just asked Ime Udoka about Kevin Durant’s preference to NOT be the lead ball-handler (and “get out of the way”) when opponents go to KD trap. Does Udoka agree with that? Not quite. “A lot of times he's gonna be initiating. … The double teams outside of turning it over have been very good for us this year. It bit us in the behind a few times, but overall the numbers show it [goes] really well when we don't turn it over and get it to scorers in the pocket and make the right play. But, obviously, the turnovers, way too high.” Adds: “We do want some other actions when [Durant] is being denied the way he is and trapped at the half court.”

It’s like a game of charades. One word, three syllables, sounds like corruption. The word that must not be voiced. Because the ruling class and their pawns in the parliament don't like to be called out for their obvious bad deeds. Australia is not a sovereign nation anymore. It is just a mining outpost for the global corporatocracy. The leadership here at federal, state and local levels do the same things and work for the same people. It does not matter which of them you elect, things only get worse. We have finally caught up with the US and UK, insofar as the middle-class is being erased. There are two distinct camps forming, the very rich and politically connected, and everyone else. It didn’t happen overnight. It has been decades in the making and both major parties have spurred it on. But the corruption does not stop with them. It exists across the political and corporate landscape. Questions not posed for fear of the answers. They dress it up in parliamentary procedure but that is a convenient way to maintain the appearance that they are beyond reproach. You can’t rise in parliament and call out corruption, because they all supposedly deserve the benefit of the doubt. What a laugh. They address each other as “The Honourable”. They give each other deference and practice “just us” in place of true justice. Albanese is just the last in a very long line of grifting clowns that feathered their nests, and those of their friends, and families via influence and authority. But don’t make the mistake of questioning it, because it might bring down the whole house of cards - as we see them for what they truly are. They use legislation to their benefit. They cover up their misdeeds and they regale us with stories of problems solved. But it is all just a lie. You can’t stuff up this much for this long by accident. Albanese certainly did trade his investments before he changed the tax system. I’m sure many others did too. But that’s just a whisper, and to be fair, it is the least of their crimes on the Australian people. We need a giant broom to go through Canberra and the States. We need the local councils fully audited and we need new people that understand what selfless service really means. I just want Australia back.

They cover up their misdeeds and they regale us with stories of problems solved. But it is all just a lie. You can’t stuff up this much for this long by accident. Albanese certainly did trade his investments before he changed the tax system. I’m sure many others did too. But that’s just a whisper, and to be fair, it is the least of their crimes on the Australian people. We need a giant broom to go through Canberra and the States. We need the local councils fully audited and we need new people that understand what selfless service really means. I just want Australia back.
