According to a police report, Allsop was removed from the cockpit after a TSA officer reported a crew member appearing intoxicated. Allsop attributed the smell to nicotine gum he was chewing, police said. Allsop allegedly failed a sobriety test on the jet bridge and was charged with driving under the influence, according to the arrest report. The arrest happened with passengers already on board. On March 12, 2025, the FAA revoked Allsop’s pilot license, which became public in July. Southwest confirmed then that Allsop was no longer employed by the airline.
