Firefighter/Paramedic Timothy Nuttall is supposed to be an objective witness with no agenda. When asked a simple question about the presence of injuries on the left side of John O’Keefe’s face after just testifying that he only had injuries to the right side of his body (not true), Nuttall can’t just admit the truth—that yes John O’Keefe DID have injuries to the left side of his face. Instead, seemingly desperate to support Hank Brennan’s narrative, Nuttall avoids answering the question and instead offers an explanation for why there’s injuries to the left side of John O’Keefe’s face, stating: “that swelling kind of migrates over time to both sides, that is a common occurrence.” Then in the next question, Nuttall is forced to concede that John O’Keefe did in fact have a left black eye, to which he finally concedes he did have injuries to the left side of his face and thus body. Why is a paramedic so resistant to simply just telling the truth? He should be a straight shooter, yet his testimony showed a fervent commitment to advancing Hank Brennan’s narrative rather than the truth. A few months later, when Karina is called to testify during the second Karen Read trial, Meg is seen seated in the courtroom on the O'Keefe's side. As we know, this courtroom was very small with a limited amount of individuals who could have sat for either side. This makes Meg's appearance notable for this specfic testimony. When Brennan stood to cross examine Karina, he decided to keep in short to only a few minutes. He did not mention the texts that Meg sent to Tully. This woman lived in this college house alone in the summer while she was in school still and everyone went home for break. She worked as a bartender and wouldn’t get home until late night most of the time. She came home from work and as she entered each room, she turned on the light. She slept in one of the attic bedrooms. The other room she was always nervous about and kept the door shut. She woke up in the morning and when she unlocked her bedroom door, she opened it to see the attic door open, the closet in that room was open too and it was clear someone was in there waiting, she could see the contents of the closet pushed aside. So while she slept, according to her whoever it was tried to open her door but couldn’t, so they left. Needless to say that the experience scared and she moved out until the other students came back the following semester. Is it possible it was one of the other roommates coming to get something from their room, would you automatically assume this was an intruder, wouldn’t the have just kicked down the door?
