I worked for a local government who had one contracts from the DWP to deliver work programs like Restart- it was an utter shambles- No accountability Staffed by agency workers with no training Laptops and iPhones thrown at clients Second offices opened at £250k cost only to close due to lack of staff and stay closed indefinitely Despite jobs being sourced , no one bother to get clients job ready as no one in management cared so long as the contract money came in!! This whole process will carry on and will now be ramped up - the government will quote successful figures whilst not following up on the numbers who fail More of our billions and the likes of Serco etc will benefit and the people who really need the help will be made more vulnerable!! The whole system is a disaster and a disgrace!! Set up clients to fail
