The Committee reviewed preparations for Pakistan’s upcoming SCO CHS Chairmanship (Sept. 2026–27) and the CHS Summit to be hosted in Islamabad in 2027. Starting a new project today, building an end to end system to forecast traffic of flights across cities (starting with Mumbai) The idea is to implement > ingestion service with kafka > data etl with polars > feast for feature store // mlflow for model registry > batch inferencing // dashboard > s3 // postgres for data storage All this orchestrated across multiple DAGs built with Airflow. This year has just been Agents and LLMs all along. Not a bad idea to keep revisiting the traditional format :) Will be posting more of this in the coming days, stay tuned

Alhamdolillah, a major tragedy was averted today at Indigo Tower, Gulberg. Upon receiving reports of a fire in the basement, the Emergency Response Team was immediately mobilised. Minister Energy Faisal Khokhar, Commissioner, DC and all concerned officials are present on site to oversee the operation. The explosion of the air-conditioning system boiler was severe; however, due to the swift, professional and heroic response of Rescue 1122 and the Fire Brigade, the fire was brought under control with zero casualties. It is reassuring to note that the newly installed fire hydrants were fully functional and freshly implemented SOPs were in place which played a critical role in containing the incident. Strict directives have been issued: All commercial boiler and cylinder installations across Punjab must fully comply with safety standards. Any premises found compromising public safety will be sealed immediately, without exception.

During a meeting with President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, we had a detailed discussion on opportunities to further develop cooperation in defense production, including within the Drone Deal format. Ukraine’s experience in building a system to protect lives should be scaled across all of Europe, and we are ready for such a partnership. We also count on the earliest possible opening of negotiating clusters for accession to the European Union. We discussed this with Gitanas. In the first half of 2027, Lithuania will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and we expect support on all issues related to our full membership. I thank Gitanas Nausėda for the meeting. I am grateful for the consistent assistance, support for the PURL initiative, and readiness to cooperate within the SAFE instrument. Emotional scenes unfolded at #NEET (UG) Re-examination centres in #Telangana as parents were seen pleading with security personnel and police officers after #NEETaspirants were denied entry for arriving just 1-2 minutes late. In one incident, a father pleaded with officials, fell at the feet of police, after his daughter was reportedly denied entry for reaching the centre just 2 minutes late in Keesara, Medchal district. The father said the delay occurred after Google Maps directed them along the wrong route. In another incident, a mother fell at the feet of security guards, begging them to allow her daughter to take the exam in Jagtial district. Two female NEET aspirants were also denied entry at the JNTU, in KPHB exam center in Hyderabad due to arriving just a few minutes late. Despite pleading with the officials to be let in. However officials were didn't allowed to enter. If the Central government had exercised this level of strictness regarding the paper leak, the aspirants wouldn't have had to give the exam again.

So I’ve lived in Hillsboro, Oregon for 10 years. Drove around today and tonight and shot this myself. This is what the “Data Center Plains” looks like.👇 My town sits at the end of 6 transpacific sea cables connecting the US to Asia. That’s why 30+ data centers landed here. They’re everywhere. Spread across the entire north and west end of the city. Road after road. Building after building. Miles of it. And they keep building. Pushing further west every year into farmland that’s been here for generations. Buying up land, Giving mass amounts of money to home owners to move, Tearing down homes. Tearing down historic sites. $7.2 billion in exempted property taxes. Some of these finished buildings are literally sitting completely dark… PGE told them no power for 3-5 years. They still built them anyway. A power plant is now going up right next to the data centers because they maxed the local grid. There are families still living next to construction zones. Old farmhouses directly across the street from data center walls. Nobody asked the people who already lived here. These are the families who refused to leave, so they said we are just gonna put them up next to your houses anyway. A pioneer homestead from 1865, 190 years of continuous farming is about to be gone, NTT Global Data Centers got that land tax-free until 2051. Signed in a single day at City Hall. Intel, the employer that actually brought thousands of real jobs here is laying off locals at the same time. This sound runs 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. My electricity bill went from $80 to $150. Water rates are set to increase 105% over 5 years, critics say to fund data center infrastructure, not residents. Data centers aren’t a joke. Just wanted to share my first hand experience with them. #datacenters

I was in Poland on work for a week about 3 weeks ago. The factory i was visiting was a big machine shop and was in a village in the middle of nowhere. The factory was not located in a dedicated industrial area or anything like that. There were residences around too. They had uninterrupted 3-phase power and functional roads. Workers were from nearby villages and towns. Dear Narendra Modi sir, Ashwini Vaishnaw and Piyush Goyal If we have to industrialise, we need to liberalise land laws. Please enable SMEs with investment less than 10 crores and which dont harm the environment to buy land and setup factories in villages in whatever land they can get hold of. The biggest road blocks to do it are a plethora of permissions needed, land conversion laws and uninterrupted 3-phase power. We need 3-phase electrification all over the country as urgently as we need highways. Enabling industrialisation in villages will help keep the capital costs low and accelerate manufacturing entrepreneurship. It will help in equipping our youth with skills and jobs closer to home, it will help declog cities and improve the quality of life for millions. By the way, 👇 was the drive to work everyday there and this is very much possible in India too.
