According to Chris Albert, the 2023 Select Board race basically happened the way people decide to grab a coffee. No planning. No strategy. No effort. Just accidentally winning four of seven precincts and knocking out the only incumbent on the board. Meanwhile, actual first-time candidates in Canton openly talked about door knocking phone banking, mailers precinct strategy, organized campaigns But Chris? He apparently tripped, fell, and landed on the Select Board. To be clear,the win counts. The votes counted The seat counted It’s just the story that keeps changing...Because when a campaign goes from “not really planned” to “one of the hardest things to do in local politics” in the span of ten seconds, people are allowed to raise an eyebrow. This guy here was to board a bus to Abuja on 3rd January, but met a group of his friends traveling to same Abuja in their car, & they beckoned on him to join them. As he entered the car, he heard a voice speak to him twice that he should come down from the car. He quietly came down & his friends were wondering what the issue was. He then went on to board a bus after they had drove off. MORALE: 1. The devil can waste dozens of people just because of 1 person that he wants to waste because of a covenant of death on the life of such. Today, in Melbourne, Brad Battin was rolled for Jess Wilson. It happened swiftly and without warning. Like thieves in the night they rolled in, and by morning, Brad was rolled out. Why? Surely there must be a reason. Maybe it was because he is a man. A mature man, with 50 years of life experience. Maybe it was because he had held a number of real jobs. Maybe it is because he served the state as a police officer. Maybe it is because he had owned and run a business. Maybe because he never was a staffer. Maybe it was because he didn’t come from Liberal royalty in Kooyong. Maybe it was because he was opening doors in new areas, places that had not considered voting Liberal before. Or maybe it was because he didn’t go to the right schools or move in the proper circles… Maybe. It could be because he was effective as an opposition leader. He was indeed shifting the polls and government policy - particularly on the youth crime epidemic plaguing Melbourne. It could even be because he was against “the Voice”, like most of the rest of his state. Maybe because he was against the treaty, that has put the property rights of all Victorians under a cloud. It is possible it was because he is against 100% renewables. Maybe he just wasn’t doing as he was told by the backroom boys - the lobbyists, the hacks and the spivs. It might even be because he knows what a woman is. Possibly some of those things… probably all of them. Because from out here, it looks like Jess Wilson is the solution to all of those ‘problems’. Just another young, inexperienced, former staffer. Just another progressive lady, who will solve the woman problem in the Liberal party, by helping the rest of us define it. Whatever the reason, I am sure the Liberals have just stolen defeat from the jaws of Victory as the inner-city elites that run the show shake their million dollar watches, fists clenched at the voters choosing Teal. As the former Liberal strongholds leave the blue team in their droves, in pursuit of a better brand of champagne socialism, they plant a foot squarely on the throats of the socially conservative and economically aspirational. The Liberals, desperate to chase back what they have lost, install Wilson in a pathetic last-ditch effort to woo them back. Demonstrating they too are happy to put the boot into those less progressive and more aspirational. People that just want to buy a home, pay the power bill, and maybe just run their homes in peace. Labor ran away from them long ago, as they pursued the same anti-Australian, anti-aspirational policies that please the Liberal lobbyists, Teal voters, Green voters, Unions and the Liberal backroom boys. The choice has never been less clear. Go with the progressive socialist that you know, or the progressive socialist that pretends to understand the economy better. The red or the blue, it’s up to you. Or maybe this is the election where the Liberals in Victoria go the way of SA, and WA, as they get packed into a minivan and sent away. One thing is for sure, the minor party and independent vote at the Victorian election will be record breaking, because the major parties are completely absorbed in their own brilliance. Completely wrapped up in themselves, holed up in their lavish offices as the groaning public feel the pain of decades of neglect. I would urge Brad Battin to hold his head up. His treatment by the corrupt and out of touch Victorian Liberal Party is a badge of honour. They are like the robbers he spent much of his career trying to catch. Like thieves in the night they shall slink off into the thickness of the dark. What happened to him today was very ‘modern’ Liberal, but hardly very Australian. I just want Australia back.

Now that the Evangelical Dark Web livestream aired, I’ll be releasing some clips from the “Man Rampant” episode with Doug Wilson and Tucker Carlson. This first clip is a sort of disclaimer that Pastor Wilson added after the fact, to help frame the discussion. It felt like Doug was coping a bit here, like he wanted the audience to know that he wasn’t a wrongthinker just because he’s friends with one (Carlson). (See also: Chris Rosebrough’s introduction to his debate with Corey Mahler where Chris said it only seemed like he lost.) Wilson drives into the ground the point that this is really all about Israel and what Christians ought to think about her. It’s very difficult to distinguish his theology here from that of a fully committed Dispensationalist, especially when he says the Jews “are the salvation people.” This is a gross error. The Jews were the salvation people, in that the messiah came from that lineage. Now that Christ has come, that lineage (if it even exists today) confers no special status before God. The actual interview amounted to an hour long struggle session of Tucker, which I will address later on.

#ProvamedxWilliam #WilliamEst 🎸: To be honest, we don’t really know our limits, because sometimes we wake up the next day and we’re completely unable to function. But there’s still a pattern we can kind of catch—this happens a lot during filming periods. It really happens very often. Because now we’re filming two series at the same time, it’s actually quite difficult to manage our daily routines. For example, in a week there are seven days, right? We might already be out filming four or five days. When you’re shooting two projects at once, even reading scripts becomes hard. Like, we just finished an event at night, and we still have to read scripts first, because the next day we need to wake up at 5 a.m. to go to set. It slowly becomes a daily habit. 🎸: We’re both very tired, because we’re working on the same set of projects—two series, Peach and Me, right, and You Maniac. We’re filming both together, so we understand each other and can really feel what the other is going through since we’re on the same production. We also share updates with each other, like “how are you doing?” and things like that. Because we’re both exhausted, we just think, okay, since it’s like this, let’s give ourselves some time. The trip itself wasn’t packed at all. It was basically like: okay, we go eat at the restaurant we already booked, and then we go… MC: Who was the first to suggest this trip? 🎸: Phi Est. It was Phi Est. When he has free time, his mindset is a bit different from mine. When he’s free, he likes to travel, while I prefer to sleep. So he was the one who first came up with the idea. He basically presented a plan to us, like “does this work?” Then he’d say we’re going to take a boat tour, go here, go there, and so on. He basically planned the whole itinerary in detail. MC: Can you really switch out of that heavy, exhausted state and detach properly? 🎸: Yes, we can. Because it feels like we finally have time to breathe again—a deep breath into the lungs. So I just lay by the sea, let the boat carry us, and look at the sky. That was honestly one of the most satisfying moments of my life, because I felt like that alone was enough. MC: Because your travel styles are similar—he and you like the same kind of travel. 🎸: The style is similar, but he’s a bit more adventurous. Phi Est would go surfing and things like that, right? But this time he didn’t surf. We were both tired, so he mostly focused on taking photos, while I just immersed myself in the atmosphere, looking at the sky and letting my thoughts wander. MC: He just stayed quiet. 🎸: Yeah, that was enough. MC: So how did you divide responsibilities on this trip? What did he do, and what did you do? 🎸: Have you seen that meme? Like, he handles planning the trip, booking restaurants, arranging everything, while I just do the “good morning, good night” part. He basically took care of everything. MC: How can we be sure he won’t make mistakes in planning, that what he arranges is actually the best option? 🎸: I think he understands what I want better. Honestly, it made me feel like I just wanted to applaud him. It was really well done. MC: So you feel both admiration and pride. 🎸: If we did it ourselves, we’d probably just end up taking a small car. For example, if there were a lot of suitcases, he would handle it properly—like choosing the right size car, figuring out how to store the luggage, even things like folding the seats down. He’s very professional about all of that. But me, if I saw a supercar available for rent, I’d probably just want to rent it without thinking at all about where the luggage would go. I’m just like that. So it’s better to let him handle the planning.

We’re filming both together, so we understand each other and can really feel what the other is going through since we’re on the same production. We also share updates with each other, like “how are you doing?” and things like that. Because we’re both exhausted, we just think, okay, since it’s like this, let’s give ourselves some time. The trip itself wasn’t packed at all. It was basically like: okay, we go eat at the restaurant we already booked, and then we go… MC: Who was the first to suggest this trip? 🎸: Phi Est. It was Phi Est. When he has free time, his mindset is a bit different from mine. When he’s free, he likes to travel, while I prefer to sleep. So he was the one who first came up with the idea. He basically presented a plan to us, like “does this work?” Then he’d say we’re going to take a boat tour, go here, go there, and so on. He basically planned the whole itinerary in detail. MC: Can you really switch out of that heavy, exhausted state and detach properly? 🎸: Yes, we can. Because it feels like we finally have time to breathe again—a deep breath into the lungs. So I just lay by the sea, let the boat carry us, and look at the sky. That was honestly one of the most satisfying moments of my life, because I felt like that alone was enough. MC: Because your travel styles are similar—he and you like the same kind of travel. 🎸: The style is similar, but he’s a bit more adventurous. Phi Est would go surfing and things like that, right? But this time he didn’t surf. We were both tired, so he mostly focused on taking photos, while I just immersed myself in the atmosphere, looking at the sky and letting my thoughts wander. MC: He just stayed quiet. 🎸: Yeah, that was enough. MC: So how did you divide responsibilities on this trip? What did he do, and what did you do? 🎸: Have you seen that meme? Like, he handles planning the trip, booking restaurants, arranging everything, while I just do the “good morning, good night” part. He basically took care of everything. MC: So you just followed the schedule he already arranged. 🎸: Yes. MC: How can we be sure he won’t make mistakes in planning, that what he arranges is actually the best option? 🎸: I think he understands what I want better. Our tastes are actually quite similar. 🎸: He already arranged everything very well. Even things like booking the car—he handled it and drove it himself. Honestly, it made me feel like I just wanted to applaud him. It was really well done. MC: So you feel both admiration and pride. 🎸: If we did it ourselves, we’d probably just end up taking a small car. For example, if there were a lot of suitcases, he would handle it properly—like choosing the right size car, figuring out how to store the luggage, even things like folding the seats down. He’s very professional about all of that. But me, if I saw a supercar available for rent, I’d probably just want to rent it without thinking at all about where the luggage would go. I’m just like that. So it’s better to let him handle the planning.

Snowflake CEO Frank Slootman explains why your company priorities are wrong “I found out early on that if you can whittle things down to just one thing, you become unstoppable. “The idea was, when he (Vincent D'Onofrio) decides to reveal himself they did a special version of his makeup that was very stretchable. What he does is he grabs the back of his head and he just starts tugging on it. The idea was he would pull it as far as he could, and then we would take over stretching the image, making it appear to be distorting in a way that it physically couldn’t. Then basically when I shot Vince I just kept urging him to pull harder, and harder, and harder until finally the final take he just pulled it until the makeup just ripped. We said, ‘Okay, we got it.’ That’s what’s in the show because it’s really tugging on his face the maximum it could be done, and then we just extended that. Marc Andreessen: Elon inspires incredible loyalty from his employees because they know he'll just sit all night with them to fix a problem. “Elon actually delegates almost everything. He's involved in the thing that is the biggest problem right now until that thing is fixed. And then, he doesn't have to be involved in it anymore, he can go focus on the next thing that's the biggest problem for that company right now. The job number one is to remove that bottleneck and get everything flowing again. I think Elon basically has universalized that concept and he basically looks at every company like it's some sort of conceptual assembly line. When he identifies the bottleneck, he goes and he talks to the line engineers who understand the technical nature of the bottleneck. If it's people on a manufacturing line, he's talking to people directly on the line. Or if that's people in a software development group, he's talking to the people actually writing the code. He's not asking the VP of Engineering to ask the Director of Engineering to ask the manager to ask the individual contributor to write a report that's to be reviewed in three weeks. He doesn't do that. He would throw them all out of the window. There's just no way he would do that. He goes and personally finds the engineer who actually has the knowledge about the thing, and then he sits in the room with that engineer and fixes the problem with them. Steve Jobs explains the importance of both thinking and doing “The doers are the major thinkers. The people that really create the things that change this industry are both the thinker-doer in one person.” This is applicable outside of tech too, and he uses Leonardo DaVinci as an example: “Did Leonardo have a guy off to the side that was thinking five years into the future about what he would paint or the technology he would use to paint it? Of course not. Leonardo was the artist, but he also mixed his own paints. He also was a fairly good chemist. Knew about pigments. Knew about human anatomy. And combining all of those skills together—the art and the science, the thinking and the doing—is what resulted in the exceptional result… There is no difference in our industry. Adam Silver on tanking in the NBA: “In terms of the tanking, there’s no question that what we saw this season was unprecedented. You talked a lot about it. Your colleagues have talked a lot about it. Again, I think a bit of a group think there obviously by definition it can’t be successful for all the teams that were engaging in that strategy. But on the other hand the analytics which all the sports are using today suggest that it’s a potentially a winning strategy and that is to race to the bottom in order to get higher draft picks. I think it was a bit of perfect storm this year. You have a perception of a very deep draft class, which it appears to be some great players coming into the league. And then even fans in particular cities and even media in those cities to a certain degree were rooting for their teams to tank and saying, you know, how well can your team be managed if you’re sort of just in the middle? You either got to be great or you got to let yourself get bad.
